Got approved for a loan that I really needed for unexpected moving expenses. Was approved and they said they were sending funds the same day but funds never arrived. I told them to cancel it and they did. Ridiculous charges too. For 1000 they wanted 12 payments of 242. 1800 "facility fee" or something equally ridiculous. SCAMMERS!!! I took a $1000 loan and was told the interest rate is 18%. upon reading the terms they charged a $1800 ENROLMENT FEE which was in very fine print and NEVER mentioned. So my $1000 loan that was supposed to be $1180 after all was said and done is now $2980!!! I am now paying back nearly 300% more. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Applied online for a short term loan with full information before 10AM on a Monday and received an email right away saying it was received. I called them later that day and was informed they were busy, they'd get back to me. I did not receive any more information from them until 11AM Tuesday, when they emailed that they were reviewing my application. By this point I gave up caring, but then the application was approved late on Wednesday afternoon, and I received the e-transfer at 5:30PM Wednesday. Every time I called them they were professional and polite and answered the phone right away, but the fact is that many of their competitors can turn around these types of loans in the same day. This one took 3 full business days. Also, their brokerage fees were slightly more expensive than I have paid elsewhere. The only pluses are they do not do a credit check, and in my case at least they did not need to speak to my employer (it was enough to call me on my extension at work). Still, I cannot recommend Cash-depot. I don't want to name names but I have experience with three other online short term loan providers that have provided same-day, cheaper service for the identical product.
