Cheese factory that triples as a restaurant and cheese shop, so I'll review the latter two.
The shop:
Unbelievable selection of alpine cheese, both from their own production and from other local cheese makers, also yogurt, milk and other dairy products. Excellent quality and prices.
They also offer a limited choice of artisanal dry pasta, chocolate, cookies and some swiss souvenirs.
The restaurant:
Coziness personified. High beamed ceilings, warm lights, wood everywhere. Even a small cheese manufacture museum! Although the place is rather large (specially for such a little town) it's always busy.
The menu is authentic swiss-italian alpine fare featuring (of course!) the most delicious cheese from their own production: grilled robiola cheese on a bed of fresh greens, hearty cheesy pastas, rosti topped with a fried egg, fondue... you get the idea.
Also the deserts are note-worthy. I'm thinking pannacotta. Yum! read more
