I would certainly recommend staying here if you are coming to Agrigento to see The Valley of the Temples. The staff do a wonderful job making sure you have a nice breakfast prepared each morning, the only hiccup was when I asked for Tea and got a lovely cappuccino, after some awkward moments I used Google Image search to show what I wanted. The poor staff member was embarrassed and quickly put the kettle on and found some tea bags in the cupboard. I had a lovely nights sleep here and the bathroom was good and the rooms were a good size. It was very peaceful at night and I ended up hanging out upstairs taking some photos of the night sky.

The A/C was a bit weak, the electronic key system for the lights didn't work (they used regular keys, and the key insert on the wall kept flashing at night...a bit annoying) and the internet didn't appear to work...didn't realize it until late and didn't want to go ask the staff. They did have a wireless range extender in the room though, so I'm sure they have it if you have the password. Ok, those were the fairly minor drawbacks. This is the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars, and it's hard for me to do that. This place is awesome! They don't speak English, but we can stumble through with Google Translate, and the staff was really friendly. Don't think they have many tourists here, but I like it that way. The place is literally across the street from the beach with a shower in front of the building. Costa del Sol is the small building right next to the big hotel on the right. You can't use the pool at the hotel unless you pay 10 Euro extra, but you're at the beach. I wasn't looking to use the pool anyway. The breakfast...Literally, the best breakfast I've had in Italy in three weeks. Crepes made fresh. Fresh juice. Yogurt. Whatever coffee you want. Crepes were fresh out of the oven...trust me, don't miss their breakfast. If they are out of your favorites, they will make more for you. I will stay here several nights next time I'm back in the area. I love that there are few tourists around, great food in the area, proximity to the beach, immaculate and clean rooms that look brand new, entire hotel looks immaculate and luxury, and friendly staff.

Lovely family run B&B that could be first rate with a few improvements. Our room was a nice size…read morebut lacking in some basic creature comforts. There was no place to sit comfortably- save a table with chairs and a single bed pressed against the wall. No carpets or rugs on the brick cement floor to protect from the cold. A small bathroom without a stopper for the sink, a nice shower with plenty of hot water though. No tissues anywhere. Our towels were not replaced the next day but hung up by the shower- I put them outside to dry in the sun but skipped the shower as it was too cold in the room. The breakfast was nice, eggs were made to order and the croissants were authentic. We did have dinner our first night where all the guests sat at one table. The guests were interesting but the food was not- so salty we could not eat it- and it took almost 4 hours to serve. My husband left at 10 and I left at 10:30 before dessert was served!
