This restaurant was full, but the food we had was not even average. My vegi omlet had as i could tell no fresh vegies except maybe the mushrooms. Also it had peas in it (?) and a friend's cheese pizza topping was kind of liquidy. People had placed reservations for dinner there, maybe they had other dishes.

In Göttingen this is one of the best places to drink a good Italian cappuccino and the espresso tastes delicious and strong, too. The pizzas cost 3 Euros. The salads are a bit more, and I have found mine I last had too expensive for just green leaves. I will try it out again though. It is situated closely to the theatre - and maybe before a good performance at the Deutsche Theater Göttingen you would like to come here :-). CIAO!

The bar crew is fairly nice but the wait staff is rude and short with Americans. Major chip on their shoulder, especially they little bald guy with the glasses. He actually said, "look it up on google". He should learn some customer service from Boris at the front desk at the adjoining Best Western.

After our last visit here, it became clear the employees did not like people who are not from the area (i.e. foreigners), which is perplexing given that they themselves are not from Germany either. This makes little sense since the restaurant is attached to a Best Western which houses travelers from other countries. The food is standard Italian fare, nothing too special. If you can manage to get away from the Uniklinikum i would recommend eating in the city center of Goettingen. Otherwise, customer beware.
