While walking the Camino Portuguese, we came across this eatery. It feels like it is in the middle…read moreof nowhere, but given the roads in that area, it's not. From the one photo, this cafe is high above the world below. The bridge that is visible from the eatery is huge, yet from the eatery it looks small.
This is definitely a welcome way station on the Camino. Many people stop, have something to eat and drink, and use the clean restroom. The staff were wonderful and created everyone with a smile (even though the pilgrims were tired). And the food was delicious, especially the tarta de Santiago which is a regional dish.
If you're walking the Camino Portuguese, make this one of your stops.
