We ventured into Casa Perez in Prescott and experienced a very nice meal. The staff was very good. Food was good. Posole was good and chock full of meat. Tasty broth. The Machaca was tasty also. Family also enjoyed chimichangas that were quite ample. Even had one of those who eats chicken fingers and they weren't bad. Restaurant is decorated with bright colors and looked like impressive bar. Based on reviews decided to try this restaurant. We are Mexican so we are familiar with food, drinks (margaritas) etc. Very nice place, busy during dinner on a Saturday evening. They did seat us right away. Hostess is very nice and pleasant. Warm chips and salsa good. Our server is very nice. We ordered Cadillac Margaritas with Hornitos. It was way too sweet, not much tequila or gran marnier. We did not drink it and our server was kind to take them back. Ordered a draft Negro Modelo, nice and cold. Our meal (red chili burrito, green chicken meal) was ok. Needed to be spicier and lacked a bit of flavor. Beans good. Rice ok. Flour tortillas were nice and warm. We are from Phoenix and visit Dewey often. We may visit again. Nice atmosphere too. read more

Very nice atmosphere. Wonderful paintings on the walls very Mexican and it's decor and charming. However, the beans taste like they come out of a can. The rice is just OK, I actually cooked better. The salad is salad that is coming from package salad. Very disappointed. The guacamole was the only good thing to eat at our table. The margaritas were diluted, very diluted. Since this restaurant is just across Hwy 69 from our abode, we decided to give it a try. The decor is attractive, seating is in booths or at tables, and the service was quick. I always judge Mexican eateries by their Huevos Rancheros, a favorite of mine, and if they are good, I've found that most everything else will be also. The wife, who loves fish tacos, had Mariscada instead, but found it to be too much marine life of varied species, even clams and mussels, and says it was okay, but she wouldn't order it again. Now, as for the eggs on a corn tortilla with Ranchero Sauce, rice, and refried beans - Perfect. It was the best I've ever had from a multiplicity of different dining locations. I've passed a few times since the grand reopening or new ownership. It's mediocre at best. I enjoyed the hot and regular salsas alot. I ordered a burrito that seemed to be mostly beans. It comes with rice and beans so it's kinda overkill. There was a thin layer of the pork in there two that was good, I just wish there was more of it. It's overpriced for the location and quality in my opinion. I'm sure the locals love it considering theres nothing else to eat near by. A burrito with rice and beans shouldn't be $14 in Dewey. I don't anticipate being back. read more

So good. Everything we have tried from taco/combo plates to burritos to margaritas has been delicious. Kids love it. Ask for the hot salsa to mix with the one automatically served with your chips. Friendly staffers. read more

Pretty good as far as Mexican food in the tri city area goes. Kinda pricey. I had a shrimp burrito. Nothing special. My family all had the carne asada. They said it was good. This restaurant is now named Casa Perez, and let me start off by just saying WOW!! I have lived in Arizona for 32 years now and have eaten some really good Mexican food through the years all over the southwest. This one meal (Chili relleno de camarones) changed my life! It's spicy to the point of tears on a couple of bites, but they are tears of pure joy! Add the handmade tortillas made at a station right off the dining area, great service from our waitress...AMAZING!!! This little gem is 90 miles from home, so I now have a new reason to visit my in-laws, that's how good it is! read more

I must say that this is a pleasant restaurant. We were immediately greeted by friendly young boy who helped seat us as well. (Adorable). Our waitress was very attentive, nice, and welcoming. The food looked great. I got the fajitas salad *chicken*. It was okay. I like that it came with a bunch of avocado slices. Nuuummmy.. the lettuce was good but the chicke. Was okay. It could have used some other seasonings or perhaps a dressing.. it came in a tortilla bowl so if you're interested in stuff like that this would be good. I didn't wat the bowl though. Chips and salsa was good and spicy, just like I like it. Overall this was a good experience. read more

We were looking for a good margarita and food. Being for Texas and not knowing where to go we looked at our mobile map and found several in Prescott Valley and accidentally drove past all of them and found this jewel. First visit to Puerto Vallarta for a lunch with the local Ham radio group. Food was very good as was the service. Our server introduced himself as Aidan, the new owner of the restaurant and he mentioned that he's keeping his staff in place and looking at adjusting his pricing (down!). Just moved from CA and dreaded finding good Mexican food. FOUND IT! Been here 3 times in 2 weeks. Great fajitas and burritos. Quality and quantity are great. Don't get some of the posts about lack of taste and high prices. I fed 3 of us with 4 Cadillac margaritas for under $70. And we ate good with leftovers. Alma made us feel like family on our fist day there. We're going to be regulars for sure. read more

Puerto Vallarta is remodeling their restaurant to look like the "sister" restaurant, Casa Perez on Glassford Hill. Windows have been added to take advantage of the spectauclar views, booths will be added, the parking lot paved AND they will be open Sundays. We can't wait!! read more
