Although we still got right to business..... Delicious food. A great variety of dishes in the menu for all tastes including lots of exotic and yummy treats. Major props to the waiter who advised us against our post-work hunger-induced ordering frenzy. We cancelled one thing and he put our order into a sequence on his pad with a question mark beside the last tapa in case we got too full. We powered on but ended up struggling with the last dish. So he did know best in the end. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating and very efficient and relaxed simultaneously. They were on hand when we had questions and didn't rush us out the door even though we were the last to leave late on a Tuesday night. My recommendations are the biryani and the tagine de albondigas.... caution though....They're both very filling and quite rich. We ordered 5 tapas and 5 drinks between 2 and paid 16euro each. We left feeling super full so we could probably have knocked that last dish off the menu, saved a fiver and still been raving about the place..... so overall I'd say the place is pretty amazing! I'm going back with some visitors this weekend!

Where do I begin? Let's talk about the ambience. To call this place rustic would probably capture…read moreit best, it's really probably more like a cafeteria or a school room at a very old school. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.

The best food I had in all of Seville.. stopped by this place for late dinner during my recent trip…read moreto Seville and this place did not disappoint. We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.

Excellent service, food and cozy but elegant space! This is an establishment that does what so many…read moreothers aspire to and few achieve. We arrived for a Christmas night dinner with very few expectations. My what a Christmas gift. My wife and I arrived at 7:30 (I know really early by Spanish standards) to a half full room of diners including families dressed for a special evening, as we were. Shown to our table immediately, seated, allowed a few minutes to settle in before asked for drinks and shown menus. Very easy flow of menus, cocktails, wine list and time to peruse. They offered specials but the head waiter stopped in to offer the kitchen expertise for anything off menu that they might try satisfy. All done with ease and grace. Menu was expansive Spanish/ French with nice selections of seafood and meats. My wife had the lobster Thermidor and I had a fish soup and grilled corvina. We started with fresh bread and butter (excellent olive oil was on the table), a muse bouche of salmon purée, olives, an aioli and carrot/celery. The salmon was nicely done and a good start. The soup came next and was very flavorful and hearty. Nice chunks of seafood. The mains came next nicely timed. The Thermidor was nicely sauced with large chunks and sauce was exquisitely balanced. My wife loved it. My corvina was a a very nice portion. Gilled to perfection on a bed of whipped potatoes, julienne vegetables and delectable sauce. We finished with a goat cheese ice cream. It went well with our remaining cava (the wine list is extensive and heavily Spanish) and a nice cortado. We were given a Spanish cordial on the house that finished the meal. This was the work of a confident and professional kitchen. Service was special. We had at least 2 waiters (both young women) looking after us. They remained unobtrusive but efficient. Smiles and banter when we initiated but very professional. The restaurant was elegant but comfortable,15-18 tables I could see. As we left we were thanked and shown again the kind of genuine hospitality of gracious hosts who were confident and proud of their kitchen and staff and who truly enjoyed their work. I thought $$'s were equivalent to the value received. If you have the opportunity when you visit Marbella/ Estepona or make a special trek to try, I hope you will not be disappointed.
