Mold on shoes

RENT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Our apartment was 6172 Apt 108. Our mold began with water damage that was coming from a pipe from the second floor. It fell onto the ceiling above our shower, causing the shower ceiling to fall on us while showering. We had to contact maintenance multiple times to get it fixed. Maintenance took 2 months to repair the hole in the ceiling. Our apartment became infested with mold, causing my entire family including my 2 young children mold toxicity. We lost all of our belongings as well. The manager has tried to blame us for the mold, when it's a community problem. Many apartments in the community have mold as well and it IS NOT the tenants fault. We hired a private mold company to come out twice after the mold remediation and both times we were told that there was an astronomical amount of mold in the apartment. The mold was NOT handled in a timely manner or appropriately. We were told by the manager herself that the apartment was safe to enter post remediation and it was not. According to the mold company we hired, it's actually an illegal amount of mold. The manager is also extremely rude, dismissive and unprofessional. The community is more concerned about their reputation than they are the actual well being of their tenants who pay a load on rent to live there. Stay away from these apartments, they are not worth the $3,000 per month. The apartments will destroy your health and the manager will turn around and blame you.

We've lived at Casa Palma for about 6 months now and I think it's probably the best apartment complex in the area. It's an amazing location, literally minutes away from Sawgrass/Turnpike. Walking distance to Papamigos (Asian-Mexican Fusion Gastro Pub which has an amazing happy hour). The amenities are very modern and hotel-like. Two pools and the gym is pretty large for an apartment complex and not too many residents take advantage of it. The staff is so friendly and helpful (we mostly worked with Enrique, he is fantastic). They respond quickly to maintenance requests. Examples: our wine cooler wasn't working when we moved in, they replaced it 1 day after we submitted the request. Our A/C wasn't cooling that great, they sent a maintenance worker to fix it same day. Apartments are super quiet. On halloween we were coming home and our next door neighbor's door was slightly open, we could hear a ton of people in there and some music going...we figured it was going to be a loud night since we share a wall with him. Couldn't hear a thing once he shut the door. Never really have any problems with parking and they just started utilizing parking decals so that should keep any parking issues at bay. Additional storage is available although maybe not in the same building as you. Valet trash is awesome, might be what I'll miss the most. Second favorite thing is the TWO walk-in closets in the master bedroom. A couple words of advice for future residents: the prices fluctuate A LOT on their website, it's all algorithm and market based...so if you have a little time to wait and watch the prices, do so. We saved ~$400 a month comparing prices and waiting it out. But on the topic of price comparisons and what the rental market is like right now, Casa Palma is DEFINITELY worth it. Anytime we have friends over that also live in the area they are surprised with how spacious the layout is and how beautiful the bathrooms were. The pictures online are accurate representations of the area and apartments. Landscape maintains the area beautifully. The only reason we're moving is because we're having a baby and my wife couldn't take going up three flights of stairs anymore.

Mold in living room

Rent at your own Risk at CASA PALMA COCONUT CREEK. You have been warned pictures attached are of apartment building 6222 APT 107. There are Significant and recurring toxic mold issues in the apartment and the rest of the building. Florida law does not require the landlords to disclose mold problems in the buildings. Apartments have moldy smell after a few months of living, if you open doors and windows to let the smell out, the property manager will blame you for causing the mold by letting humidity into the apartment (see attached pictures of emails). There is a requirement to run the AC continuously to dehumidify the apartment as toxic mold grows if apartment has humidity levels over 60%. They expected us to run the AC continuously even when it was 50 degree weather outside. The only way to control the humidity at this apartment was to keep the temperature below 69 degrees at which point the humidity dropped to 65%. You are not allowed to turn on the heater during winter, as it would cause mold in the apartment and humidity to rise. Further they insisted we purchase a dehumidifier to dehumidify the entire apartment. On physician warning and recommendation, during Thanksgiving weekend, due to mold related breathing symptoms, skin rashes, and watery eyes, we had to move out of the apartment for a week until they cleaned up the mess. I requested a credit for the weeks worth of rent and they told me that they would give me credit for 1 day as the apartment was being cleaned. They threatened me with a bill of $3000 for mold clean up because they blame us for mold due to "improper AC usage" and opening doors and windows to let air out. (See attached email picture). After clean up of mold it reappeared again within 2 months and required another clean up. This is after they set up and continuously monitored the temperature and AC usage at the apartment. Once they were unable to control the toxic mold growth at the apartment, they purchased the dehumidifier and put it in the middle of the kitchen. The dehumidifier runs 24x7 making a constant loud noise. Additionally there is an expectation to throw out buckets of dehumidifier water every few hours. See the pictures below for what we went through. I will not renew my lease, and I will move somewhere else by the end of this month. Multiple tenants have complained about these same issues at the property. If you have children or are an elderly couple they are at significant risk of toxic mold related illnesses. Additional pictures are the emails and other correspondence in trying to get this issued resolved.

I'm increasing my rating because I've actually learned to love all the poop here (I'm trying to be more positive this year). I actually look forward to walking my dog in the morning now because I can't wait to see all the new piles of poop that have been left for the residents here to admire. It has actually gotten to the point where the people who leave their dog poop in the grass won't walk their dogs in it anymore (b/c there's too much poop in it) and now leave it right on he sidewalks. It's great - I don't have to look as hard for the new piles anymore. All joking aside, before you decide that this complex is worth your hard earned dollars, take a walk around. The rental agents don't whisk you around in golf carts for no reason - they don't want you to walk around and track poop back into their office on your shoes. Plenty of other options in the area which value providing a clean and healthy living environment.

Luxury rental community which have gig poop everywhere. Yes welcome welcome. Only $2000 a month and smell of fresh poop scented.

I have lived at Casa Palma for almost a year and I seriously dislike it. Like the previous commenters stated, Nancy has been great to work with but when the problem arise, there's not much she can help you with. THE GOOD: The apartments are beautiful and modern. The gym area is also very nice and the pool are a plus. Wow.. that's all the good I have... Damn... THE BAD...... Insufficient parking: God help you if you have to leave your house during the evenings or on the weekends. I've had to search for 10 minutes at times to find a parking spot. Then in the morning when I attempt to leave, someone is double-parked behind my vehicle blocking me in. On top of it people are honking their horn , HOPING the people that blocked you in will come out... What a joke.... But that's what the management tell the tenant to do.. be loud be aggressive and the problem will be solve. Monkey see Monkey say Monkey do... Dog barking and feces: The majority of the time this place feels like a kennel. Owners leave their pets on their balcony for long periods, as a result, you hear their dog bark at every dog and owner that walks by. Of course the other dogs begin to bark as well and it turns into a circus. Additionally, as previous commenters mentioned, some owners do not clean up after their pets, so expect to see feces throughout the grounds. (Specially the Courtyard) I have even had feces in front of my door. Its frustrating to see this happening because the property actually has stations throughout the neighborhood with "poop bags" and trash bins for pet clean up, but some owners are too lazy to clean up after their pets. But again, if management would do more effort on solving this , it would be done. There are no surveillance camera anywhere. And the maintenance people, you will find them riding their golf club.... Ahhhhhh... what a life... Loud music/neighbors: Unfortunately there are neighbors who do not understand this is "community living". They play their music at all hours with no care in the world . We've contacted the management office about this issue, but were told there's not much they can do at the time. But again, like many complaints arise, there's not much that they can do. Be prepare for that answer... In my opinion the passive nature of the staff when it comes to rectifying issues makes it frustrating to live at Casa Palma. For the expensive price tag this place carries, I do not feel the cost equals value. The main reason I chose a newer "upscale" property was I thought I would not have to deal with some of these issues, but I was wrong. I will not be renewing my lease but I'm sure the management don't care. Secondly, with the current issues mentioned above, living here has become a stressful and insanitary environment which no longer feels like a home. And since my review are a 1 star, I'm sure no management will give me any feedback unlike the 5 star review. This show how Casa Palma Property Management works. Bravo to you...

The management is terrible. They get nothing done. The general manager does not take pride in the building that she works for.

My family has lived here for 3 years with the decline in safety, amenity convenience, maintenance fulfillment however an increase in regulations, police presence and of course rent. Do not judge a book by its cover, when we did the initial tour (3 years ago) everything seemed acceptable. After one week of living here we had to have mold removed, drawers fixed and cracks in various places began to emerge from the cover up of paint. Every year Management gets more uncompromising and demanding without probable reason. Below I will list the major issues that support your decision of not choosing Solaire as your residence. 1. Within the first month of living here we had to have mold inspected, resealing of cracks, and paint applied over full areas where there had been previous water damage. 2. They are overly communicative for their needs but neglectful to yours. We have never been late for rent in 3 years and one month we were changed the 10% fee for "being late." Chelsea had administered the late fee without contacting us to figure out what the issue may be and again accused us of not paying rent. After showing her proof of payment being made she apologized and ended the call. 3. There was an issue which we had tiny bugs gathering on our wall, it appeared to come from water damage and they simply painted over the area, bugs included. Same with the mold, they scrape it and then cover it with paint. 4. We were out of town and apparently there was an emergency leak from our apartment to the lower unit on a Friday. When we returned on Sunday every light in our unit was on. Seems petty but when the stair light, kitchen light, and restroom light is on with a dehumidifier running for 3 days straight, we are incurring that power bill not the apartment. Very unacceptable. 5. Moving out has already started to be an issue and we have a week remaining in this place. They will charge you for EVERYTHING including dust, cobwebs and day to day living wear and tear. We had to beg for a carpet cleaning when our lease renewed last year. This was not given in the initial move in contract ever. The new place we are relocating to openly expressed what is expected upon move out. Solaire has never until move out was confirmed in which they placed a communication on our door. When we first moved in rent was a little under $2000, I understand times are different now but each year it increased at least $200. For us to renew this year would have been $2500 but as a new tenant our unit is going for $3000+. I will give Solaire a 4/10.

Especially as a woman walking late at night and having to go trough gates to get to my place. It's insane. No parking due to everyone who has a garage and doesn't park in their garage. It's ridiculous. I've taken pictures of garages and sent to the office. Everyone utilizes them for storage or work space. I have neighbors with 4 plus cars. 2 of those cars do not have red stickers. All residents with garages should have red stickers. They need to re do the parking and distribute new parking decals to make sure everyone has the correct stickers. We need assigned parking. 2 per unit. And everyone else should park where else is available. Every other community has assigned parking. And then visitor parking. I will be contacting corporate about this matter. I suggest other residents follow.

There are never enough available spaces, and to make matters worse, residents vehicles are getting towed far too often, even when it feels completely unjustified. Instead of working with tenants, management seems more focused on enforcement than solutions. Speaking of management, communication has been extremely disappointing. We've been told one thing repeatedly, only for it to turn out to be untrue. It feels like there's a lack of transparency, and residents are left in the dark far too often. At this point, it honestly feels like new management is needed altogether. Another major issue is the amenities. We're paying high rent prices that supposedly include access to things like a gym, but the gym has been unavailable for MONTHS with no clear timeline or proper updates. It's unacceptable to charge premium prices while failing to deliver on basic amenities that residents rely on. Overall, between the towing issues, poor management, lack of communication, and undelivered amenities, this has not been a positive living experience. I would strongly encourage management to address these concerns seriously, because residents deserve better. I shouldn't have to pay out of pocket for a gym membership elsewhere when I'm already paying rent for something that should already be included where I live! So now I'm out extra money on these high gas prices for making unnecessary trips to another gym and not to mention the gym membership I'm paying for monthly smh! I should be reimbursed for the false advertisement & deceptive practices of this property. I'm holding up my end of the deal by paying in full every month but instead I'm being lied to by the management with no access to something I'm paying for, this is unacceptable!

Absolutely Heartless Management Stay Away from Quiet Waters…read more A few years ago, I lost my partner and best friend, who lived at Quiet Waters. As devastating as that was, what followed was even more traumatizing. Because I was the closest to him in both life and distance, and listed as his first point of contact on all his documents, I was tasked with handling everything after his passing including caring for his beloved pets and cleaning out his apartment at the request of his elderly parents. Instead of allowing us a moment of grace or compassion, Quiet Waters Management immediately locked me out of the unit. His grieving parents who are out of the state called and pleaded with them, offering to send any documentation they required. I called as well, trying to find a way to retrieve his belongings and asked if I could at least collect anything left after they move them out. The manager heartlessly said, "We'll make sure the trash is where no one will ever find it." I still have this call recorded on my office line. If they would like to hear it again. Even worse, they refused to feed the starving pets that were still inside the unit. I had to threaten them just to get them to provide food and water until access could be granted. They ignored calls, dodged responsibility, and finally involved the police. So did the family, just trying to get in. His elderly parents, already overwhelmed with grief and limited resources, were forced to go to court to obtain permission for me to access the apartment. By the time I was finally let in, (it took months) the damage was done. Maintenance staff or someone had clearly gone through the unit. Items were missing. Things were stolen. It felt like he was robbed twice once in death, and once by the very people who should have had a shred of decency. This broke me down. This was the most tragic event of my life, and the management at Quiet Waters handled it with cruelty, indifference, and even malice. This building is run by monsters. Stay far away.

Having lived in some of the most prestigious buildings in Manhattan and San Francisco, including owning a property on Central Park West, I can confidently say that The Mark is the best place I've ever called home--and I love it more every time I sign a new lease. I was one of the original tenants when this building first opened, moving in with a one-bedroom. When my fiancé and I got engaged, he moved here from 101 Via Mizner, and we upgraded to a spacious three-bedroom together. Best decision we've ever made. People often ask us why we don't buy, but the truth is--why would we? We have everything we need right here--and then some. The management team, led by Jonathan, is absolutely outstanding. Jonathan and Bentley are more than just building staff--they genuinely care about the residents and go above and beyond to ensure that we're happy and well taken care of. I've encountered some truly awful building staff in my day, but they are the complete opposite: friendly, approachable, and fully committed to making this the best living experience possible. The sense of community here is unmatched, and I've never felt more at home. From routine requests to more complex issues, Jonathan and Bentley are always quick to respond--even on weekends, when high-maintenance tenants like me need something stat. The maintenance team--Alejandro and Alex--are absolute rock stars. They are always on top of things, addressing any issue that comes up with a level of professionalism and care that's hard to come by. A perfect example: when we had an AC issue, they didn't just fix the problem--they worked tirelessly to ensure everything was resolved to our exact specifications, and quickly, too. The level of service here is truly unparalleled. We also feel incredibly safe here, thanks to Lloyd at the front desk, who greets us with a smile every time we pass by and ensures that we're well taken care of. In today's world, where safety is paramount, it's so reassuring to have people looking out for us and making sure everything runs smoothly. As for the building itself--it's impeccable. Modern, beautifully designed, and perfectly maintained. The location couldn't be better--we're right in the heart of everything we love: bars, restaurants, gyms like Rumble and Spin District, plus nail and hair salons, Trader Joe's, and CVS, all within walking distance. At this point, we hardly drive anywhere. It's truly the epitome of convenience. So, to anyone wondering why we don't buy--honestly, why would we leave when we're so well taken care of? Renting here has been the best decision we could have made, and we wouldn't want to live anywhere else. If you're looking for a place that combines luxury, convenience, and the absolute best management and maintenance team in Boca Raton, look no further. This building is hands down the best in town--and trust me, we know what's out there.
