This place was great! They said it was only their second day open to the public so my expectations were low but I was surprised by how great the experience was! The customer service was great and very attentive. The food was delicious and these potatoes were a standout. My wife and I attended Casa Mia's soft launch, and the experience was outstanding. The interior is beautiful--warm, inviting, and authentically styled. You can immediately feel the pride and care from the owner and staff. We had casually asked a few days earlier when they were opening, and being invited to their friends-and-family soft opening was incredibly humbling. That gesture alone speaks volumes about the kind of place this is. For food, I ordered the Eggs Benedict with an espresso, and my wife had the veggie Benedict. Everything was prepared exceptionally well. The hollandaise sauce was spot on--easily on par with LG Café's, which says a lot. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the English muffins toasted just right, and the espresso was solid and well made. My wife loved her veggie Benedict and agreed the hollandaise was done perfectly. The poached eggs were cooked to the ideal temperature--set whites with a perfectly runny yolk. While there are a few decent breakfast spots in the area, Casa Mia easily ranks among the best local breakfasts we've had. We're already looking forward to coming back to try the mimosas, Mexican hot chocolate, breakfast chilaquiles, and breakfast burritos. It's been a while since I've found a restaurant worthy of surpassing 5 stars - I'm so glad I found Casa Mia! We came last Monday around 2pm while waiting for our car to be serviced. It was a last-minute whim because we were originally going to go to this other restaurant but I decided last minute that I wanted brunch food. It was a SUPER hot day (98 degrees in Mountain View) and we had our dogs with us but we needed somewhere with a shady outdoors that was willing to take us. Casa Mia took us in and how lucky we were! :') We were greeted immediately and seated by Luz, who was suuuper sweet to us the entire stay. She was super patient, considering that we did that annoying thing where we come in 1 hour before closing (they close at 3) and there was no other customer in the restaurant so I didn't want to keep them from closing. But she was so kind nonetheless, and had really great suggestions. She gave our dogs iced water :* and made sure that we were comfy in the heat! We had the Chilaquiles and the Tres Leches French Toast... and both of them speak for themselves in the photos... Need I say more? Truly both some of the best breakfast dishes I've had to this day and I've been to so many brunch places since breakfast is the most important meal of every day to me. I can tell that both dishes were made with so much love. Lots of thought and flavoring were put into both and I was very impressed. The sauces that we chose for the Chilaquiles complemented the dish so well. The chefs definitely know what they are doing. I cannot wait to bring all of my friends and family here so that they can enjoy Casa Mia for themselves. 10/10, will highly recommend to everyone we know and we'll DEFINITELY be back! read more

The hamburger patties are blended with a bit of Chorizo, which gives it a nice flavor. Would make for an awesome loco moco. The French toast was solid and very generous portion size. While it maintains the structural integrity of a true omelette, I felt that my money was well spent with the amount of ham and sausage I received. The hash browns were cooked flat and crispy, which were perfect for a crunchy tasty side. However, I asked for sourdough bread but it seems they gave me white bread instead. Found out my old Mexican restaurant closed and now is Casa Mia... bf convinced me to give it a try and I'm glad I did! We came around 10am on a Sunday morning and were seated right away, restaurant got busy around 10:30 so make sure you get there early to avoid the wait line... super crowded by 11 and big parties. Complementary Mexican bread was amazing, portions were big and the flavor was unique, loved the chicharron & eggs... on the spicy side for sure, it comes with tortillas and beans... 10/10. Boyfriend got the veggie omelette and said 9/10 couldn't finish it either! This restaurant just opened on August 18th 2024. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is perfect for a breakfast or brunch for all occasions. (Girls day, couples date, family breakfast) They offer bottomless mimosas for $35 a person. They do sell different juices for the mimosas and beer. They have different types of beverages They also offer catering. Their menu is easy to understand. You are able to switch the salsas for the dishes (red, green, chipotle, cilantro, chile poblano). You may add toppings for an extra charge ranging from $5-$6 (steak, chicken, chorizo, linguisa, Birria) We tried the huevos rancheros, the chirraron & eggs, Nutella Pancackes with strawberries and bananas (you can choose only strawberry or banana- I wanted both) Warning: they are spicy, but so yummy. For drinks we had cafe de olla (which is a very traditional Mexican way of making coffee) note: don't add anything it's already balanced with spices and it's delicious! First time we tried Casa Mia and we were legitimately blown away by how good the food was!! I got the steak and eggs and the steak tasted like it was seasoned with ThatDudeCanCook's rosemary salt (iykyk). So delicious. Eggs and potatoes tasted awesome too and at like $25 it was a pretty good deal considering other places charge like $10 more. My husband got the french toast and we were surprised how amazing it was. Fruit was fresh, nutella was generous, and they had this crazy orange zest butter that crazy elevated the french toast. The drinks were a big miss for us - the hot chocolate tasted like Mexican hot chocolate with the spices but super watered down and the orange juice tasted very pithy. The interior was way too warm but I think maybe other people would've enjoyed it? We were so impressed and look forward to coming back for breakfast and dinner some time :D read more

I came with my friend for brunch this Sunday. This restaurant appeared on my social media a couple times and we were near the area so I thought today would be a great time to try their food. Upon arriving it looked like there would be a long wait however the host informed us it would be 25min (we only waited 10min). We were seated by the window and the server was kind and patient while we placed our order. I ordered from the specials, which was the Mexican Wet Omelette which included chorizo and veggies inside the omelette and was generously in salsa verde. This plate also came with potatoes. I enjoyed the flavors of my plate. I wish I had more space to also try the Churro French Toast which also sounded super appetizing (maybe next time). Looking over at my friend's Chilaquiles, I did feel that there should've been more chilaquiles than beans but that's my opinion, however, she still enjoyed them and had no complaints herself. Overall, the staff was helpful and friendly and overall the energy of the restaurant was cozy and it wasn't super loud inside making it easy to hold conversation with my friend. We added two coffees, because we are functioning adults who require caffeine to make decisions. The food was fine, it was what a Sunday breakfast should be. I had a bit of a sticker shock when I asked for the bill and saw that it was OVER $75 for two people at breakfast, with tax and tip. I sat there doing the math in my head the way you do when you're hoping the numbers will somehow rearrange themselves into something more palatable. They did not. Now, to be fair, I am fully aware that the cost of ingredients and labor has gone up across the board. I was just operating on an optimistic budget of maybe $60 which I now realize is one of those "back in my day" comments to bore the Gen Zs to tears. If you want a recommendation for something sweet, go straight for the Cherries, Berries and Mascarpone French Toast. The eggs benedict is a reliable choice too, if you're feeling classic. The restaurant is easy to get to as it is located at the corner of California and Ash Street, and there's a large parking structure right next door. Would I go back? Probably, yes. But I will be prepared so that the wallet shock doesn't catch me off guard again.

Several different waiters checked in on us throughout the meal, making sure we were enjoying the food and that we didn't need anything else. The vibes of the restaurant are really enjoyable too. The décor is lovely, the sound levels are very reasonable, and everything was spotless during our visit. Overall, I can't recommend Sweet Maple enough, and I'm kind of glad it's not closer to my house because I would go bankrupt with the amount of Millionaire's Bacon I'd buy on a weekly basis.

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience here and won't be returning. 1. When we arrived, we weren't even given the option of indoor or outdoor seating. 2. Our server rushed through taking orders. She started moving on to the next person while one of us was still ordering, and we had to stop her. She also never asked what drinks we wanted. 3. The water service was unacceptable. The container had chunks of food floating in it and was lukewarm. When we asked for it to be replaced, it came back with the same food particles still inside--clearly just refilled, not cleaned. On top of that, she only brought two glasses when there were three of us. After that, none of us felt comfortable drinking it. 4. The food was just as disappointing. The buttermilk pancakes were unevenly cooked-- with one being more burnt and another being hardly cooked. Nowhere on the menu did it say they came with orange-infused butter instead of regular butter, and we only realized that after reading other Yelp reviews. Our server did not make us aware either. The unexpected flavor completely ruined the dish. 5. The Chicharron and Eggs were another failure. The menu promised "crispy pork rinds," but what arrived was soggy, chewy, and not appetizing at all. 6. We spoke to the manager, who apologized and gave us a discount, but his excuse was "we were busy." That doesn't justify unsafe food service and poor quality. 7. To make matters worse, our server never introduced herself, so we don't even know her name. At one point, we even saw her pet a dog and then continue handling food without washing her hands. Between the rushed service, unsanitary water, poorly cooked food, and lack of professionalism, this was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. Even with the discount, it wasn't worth it. Casa Mia in Mountain View is hands down my new go-to spot for breakfast! The fresh juice was the perfect way to start the meal -- refreshing and flavorful. I had the Huevos Rancheros, and it was simply fantastic. The eggs were perfectly cooked, served on a crispy fried tortilla with refried beans and topped with their delicious house sauce. We recently had a frustrating experience here. Despite being seated very quickly, the wait time for our food was exceptionally long. We found ourselves waiting for such an extended period that our initial enthusiasm for the meal completely dissipated, and honestly, we considered leaving a few times. When the food finally did arrive, it was hard to truly enjoy it after such a drawn-out delay. They appear to be significantly understaffed. No idea why this place has 4.5 stars. I guess people with no real Latino taste eat here. This was one of the most gentrified Mexican brunch spots. My chicharrón and eggs were so plain and bland. My husband's chilaquiles were very regular. & don't get me started on the service. Gonzalo, you never checked on us. And it seemed like every time we asked you for something, it was a bother to you. We stayed in Mountain View for a concert, and came here because we saw it online and it looked great. Very deceiving. McDonald's breakfast would've been better. Definitely not coming back. read more
