    red chilaquiles

My family and I visited on a Saturday around 11:30am. They have a parking lot which is really convenient. When we arrived there were a few people waiting outside. We put our name down and were seated in about 15 minutes. They have indoor and outdoor seating with comfy chairs and a brown and green aesthetic. I ordered the red chilaquiles and they were delicious and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. The food made the visit worthwhile!

4/25/2026 Casa Mia 2483 Old Middlefield Way Mountain View, CA 94043 I went there for a Saturday breakfast just after they opened. There is a large parking lot surrounding the building with the entrance on the RHS. The interior is a clean spacious table and bench setup with fairly new furnishings. There is also an outdoor patio area with awning coverage. There was one other person there and they were doing a good take out business. I ordered the House Special Chicharron & Eggs which comes with refried beans and foil wrapped warm soft corn tortillas. My meal was brought to me muy rapido and the reason was the scrambled eggs were warm and the beans were cold. The Chicharron was covered and soaked with my requested red sauce, some were crunchy on the outside and some were very soggy. The skins had a good porky taste. The sauce was not very spicy with little pepper flavor. The tortillas had a nice slightly sweet corn flavor. This is the first time I tried this dish and I won't repeat for this. They have an extensive breakfast menu with other items I'd like to try. Prices are reasonable and service was very good. I will repeat.

The way I still think about the red chilaquiles and the fresh carrot orange juice...so so good! The food was so flavorful and the juice refreshing. Given how busy it was, the environment did feel a bit stressful with the waiters rushing and being a bit rude. However, the food was so good that I would give this spot another try!

This is a popular breakfast spot in Mountain View. Go early and put your name down because it can get busy, but they usually move through the line pretty quickly. The staff is extremely friendly, and you have the option to sit inside or outside. They offer the usual breakfast plates along with some Mexican-style dishes if you're in the mood for something different. We went with the chilaquiles and waffles. Both were really tasty, the chilaquiles hit the spot and the waffles were crisp and delicious. This place definitely delivers for breakfast or brunch. Shout out to Casa Mia!

Got what the server recommended - chilaquiles with chile poblano sauce and steak, and it was so good. Very flavorful and creamy without being too salty or heavy. Not at all spicy, which was nice. Also got the chicken tenders for the kids, which was really good - very tender and juicy, not at all dry. Fries were also nicely done. It was not at all like the typical kids chicken tenders. Would highly recommend.

chorizo omelette was very yum. They were super generous with the chorizo, and it was very flavorful. The hash browns were perfectly crispy too chilaquiles and french toast were just ok. Actually really liked the orange butter that came with the french toast but it was a bit too eggy for me

One of the best brunch places I've tried in the Bay Area! We came in on a Sunday and were seated fairly quick. It was really clean in there and they had great customer service. The food was delicious and full of flavor, the only thing I would say to improve on is the temperature of the food other than that everything was perfect. We tried the birria breakfast plate and the lechera pancakes, they were both a 10/10. I can't wait to try their other menu items.

This place is really good. It does get packed but seems to be fast with the food service. I really enjoyed the mimosa. The Pork chilaquiles were definitely star of the breakfast. Tender pork and crunch of tortilla added great texture m. My eggs Benedict wasn't bad but might try something else next time.

I went on a Sunday morning with my mom around 11:30 and it was packed! People waiting outside as well when we left even. Even though it was so crowded, we were able to be seated right away. Really a no frills kinda place, but every seat in the house taken! I got the apple chicken sausage with over easy eggs, hashbrowns and sour dough toast. My mom got basic butter milk pancakes which were nice and fluffy and had like an orange zest butter on top. Service was friendly and food was out in an expected time manner with regard to how busy it was. If I was in the area, I would be back! Parking is plentiful which is needed!

Food: Phenomenal. You cannot go wrong with the chilaquiles! The hashbrowns were also a pleasant surprise -- soft but well baked and super flavorful. Service: The service here -- from putting down my name to wait for a table to the actual dining experience -- were wonderful. Excellent hospitality! My friends and I stayed for awhile after eating, and we were never rushed out!! Ambiance: Warm & cozy. Such a vibe.

Went to CM for brunch on a Saturday. The place was packed and we got one of the last parking spots in an otherwise good sized parking lot. The inside is clean and no frills pretty basic. The place was buzzing with activity. Every item we ordered was top notch delicious, all cooked properly and to our spec: -Mexican omelette special with wet with chili verde and hash browns -Oreo pancakes & buttermilk pancakes -3 Berry French Toast -Birria special with eggs and beans We were waited on quickly and the food arrived straight away. These folks were not messing around! Our server was nothing short of amazing. She was so nice, so busy and so spot on given all the tables she was juggling. When we left there were 20 folks waiting for their turn at a table. We will definitely return.

Absolute banger of a breakfast spot!!! The chilaquiles with the chipotle sauce was so so good! And the huevos rancheros with chorizo was also delicious. I will admit that I do think it is a little pricey compared to other breakfast spots but it was totally worth it. I definitely want to come back and try some sweets. Service and inside is nice!

If I could give 10 stars, I honestly would. This place feels like an undiscovered gem. The server was incredibly sweet, everything was very clean, and the prices were totally reasonable. The interior isn't anything fancy, just simple and normal, but honestly that didn't bother me at all. I had the chilaquiles and my daughter had the kids' cheeseburger. It was my first time trying chilaquiles and it instantly became one of the most delicious things I've ever had. And the cheeseburger was exactly what a cheeseburger should be, nothing extra, nothing missing. I really loved our experience and would recommend this place to everyone. I'll definitely be back soon.

Mid week brunch meant a quieter atmosphere and open seating. After perusing the menu we ordered at the counter before sitting at a table after picking up utensils and water. We ordered Fambrini's Breakfast, Brie & Mushroom Omelette, Crab Omelette, and shares the Lotus Biscoff Pancakes. Everyone loved their egg platters. The eggs were perfectly light and fluffy. I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind. I personally had the crab omelette and left no crumbs behind. The potatoes were well seasoned and wish I had enough room in my tummy to finish them off! The drip coffee was bold and delicious not watered down at all! Finally, we shared the 2 stack biscoff pancakes for a sweet finish. The pancakes were bouncy with biscoff sauce and a mound of whipped cream. This was mouth wateringly delicious. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was so yummy. The dalgona coffee looks amazing but is only okay, I'd maybe try something else. It is definitely Cafe style, where you order and pay at the counter first. There will be plenty of foot traffic going in and out of the restaurant. My dining companion and I settled in at the counter since the weather was a bit brisk today. Joanie's has been around long enough to wear its old-school vibe with confidence. The service is just fine. Nothing to complain about and nothing to tell write home about. It's a small enough place you are able to flag someone down if you needed something. We both ordered the "Joanie's Breakfast Medley" which includes French toast or two pancakes, two eggs any style, home fries, and your choice of protein (bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, chicken-apple sausage, or ham) for $25.95. We added two coffees, because we are functioning adults who require caffeine to make decisions. The food was fine, it was what a Sunday breakfast should be. I had a bit of a sticker shock when I asked for the bill and saw that it was OVER $75 for two people at breakfast, with tax and tip. I sat there doing the math in my head the way you do when you're hoping the numbers will somehow rearrange themselves into something more palatable. They did not. Now, to be fair, I am fully aware that the cost of ingredients and labor has gone up across the board. I was just operating on an optimistic budget of maybe $60 which I now realize is one of those "back in my day" comments to bore the Gen Zs to tears. If you want a recommendation for something sweet, go straight for the Cherries, Berries and Mascarpone French Toast. The eggs benedict is a reliable choice too, if you're feeling classic. The restaurant is easy to get to as it is located at the corner of California and Ash Street, and there's a large parking structure right next door. Would I go back? Probably, yes. But I will be prepared so that the wallet shock doesn't catch me off guard again.

While I never…read moremet the man, he has incredible taste, because Sweet Maple has the best breakfast food I've ever had in the bay area. Well worth the trip. The two of us were dubious about the Millionaire's Bacon, because it was hyped up to the point where it seemed unlikely that it could live up to the reputation. We were wrong. We ordered the Millionaire's Bacon sampler platter, which is four strips of long, thick pieces of bacon, baked with brown sugar and spices. There is the original, which is brown sugar, cayenne, red, and black pepper, which was sweet, salty, and the perfect amount of spicy. The other slices were orange, cinnamon, and rosemary. My partner enjoyed the orange best, whereas I loved the cinnamon, but we both thought the rosemary was underwhelming. The bacon itself was very thick and meaty with a minimal amount of fat, and was just clearly high quality pork. Truly worth the hype. We also got the bottomless mimosas, which not only had multiple choices of juice (we got raspberry lemonade) but were surprisingly heavy on the champagne. The waiter kept them coming without us needing to ask, to the point where I had to tell him I was done because I was a little too tipsy for breakfast. My partner got the chicken croffle, and was very impressed. I tried the fried chicken (though not the croffle) and it was very well spiced, very crunchy, and well cooked--juicy and tender. I got the big hip, which is deep fried "french toast". I wouldn't call it french toast myself, but it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and came with fresh fruit, butter, and syrup. There wasn't enough syrup for the entire dish, but I asked our waiter for more and he came back with it in less than a minute. On top of the food being as close to perfect as you can get, the service was great. Several different waiters checked in on us throughout the meal, making sure we were enjoying the food and that we didn't need anything else. The vibes of the restaurant are really enjoyable too. The décor is lovely, the sound levels are very reasonable, and everything was spotless during our visit. Overall, I can't recommend Sweet Maple enough, and I'm kind of glad it's not closer to my house because I would go bankrupt with the amount of Millionaire's Bacon I'd buy on a weekly basis.

Our absolute favorite? The vegan tacos and yes, we're not vegan. We always pair them with a side of refried beans and chiles toreados, and it hits every time. What makes this place stand out is how incredibly flavorful and satisfying their meat-free options are. Vegan dishes can be hit or miss, but this is a full on hit. The menu overall is solid across the board. You can pretty much close your eyes, point, and end up happy. Brunch is also top tier. The pancakes are excellent, and the traditional Mexican dishes like chilaquiles and huevos rancheros are comforting, flavorful, and consistently well done. Must try cocktail: the Chapulín. When it first comes out, you might think they brought you a green juice, but trust us, this one will surprise you in the best way. It's made with jalapeño-infused tequila and packs a flavorful punch. Fair warning: if you're one of those people who thinks cilantro tastes like soap, this one may not be for you since it's part of the mix. Service is consistently great. The staff is attentive, friendly, and makes the whole experience feel easy. And honestly, there's not a bad seat in the house whether you're outside, inside, or at the bar.

Cooking out the liquid from squash, tomatoes or mushrooms is cooking 101, in my book. Their mole is an American version and not at all a traditional one. Beware. Service and ambience are fine.

There was some seating inside but a majority of it is outside. We ordered: - Organic Scrambles #3 (Scrambled Organic Eggs, Organic Wild Mushrooms, Shallots, Crème Fraîche, Chives) - The scrambled eggs were good and not mushy at all. The creaminess of the crème fraîche worked well with the mushrooms and chives. - Three Stack Apple Pancakes - This was delicious! I loved the grated apples in the pancakes. It was a solid pancake. We had a good time eating here and will be back to try more items on the menu!

The French toast was fluffy, buttery, and easily one of the highlights. The omelette with cream and mirin really hit the spot, and the breakfast wrap was also excellent. No complaints here. Drinks (3/5): The drinks tasted good, but we ordered them extra hot and they arrived cold, which was disappointing. You are also responsible to pick them up so stay close to the barrista id you need coffee. Ambiance (4/5): The atmosphere is lively and energetic, which gives the place a fun brunch vibe. That said, it can feel overcrowded. The seating is very tight, tables are pushed close together, and the line can get quite long. Service (2/5): This was unfortunately the biggest issue. One of our items was missed in the original order. When I went back to fix it, staff initially entered it as a separate order and told me there wasn't much they could do and that I'd need to pick it up as a to-go order. After multiple conversations, I asked them to simply combine it with our original order and bring it to our table, which they eventually agreed to. When our food arrived, the missing item was still missing. After checking with staff three separate times, we were eventually told they were "doing us a favor" by giving us someone else's to-go item. By that point, we had already finished most of our breakfast and were ready to leave. The staff seemed more focused on explaining how busy they were rather than taking ownership of the mistake, even though the issue started with the original order being missed. Overall, this is a solid 4-star if you go on a quieter day and you don't need much customer service because the food is absolutely worth trying. On a busy day, though, be prepared for a potential 2-star experience, mainly due to customer service.

I'm so happy I did because it's one of the few places that has a nice London Fog. I love that when you get your coffee "for here" it comes in actual ceramic mugs instead of plastic or paper. Thanks for creating less waste this way They even have metal utensils too! There is a long table inside with an outlet extension for working that could comfortably seat 6 people, but up to 10 if you really wanted to. Inside, it's bright with all the storefront glass and spacious with its open strut ceiling concept. Aside from coffee and tea, they also have salads, croffles, tartines of various combinations, and pastries so you can grab a quick bite or dessert too. Parking is limited right in front of the café but there's another parking lot in the area so I wouldn't worry about parking here either. The cloud 9 name and theme is so clever since it is right by an aviation club. The music inside is light and unobtrusive. Outside there's a peaceful, quiet patio with shade, sun, and flowers. Absolutely magical.

I came at opening, and it was just myself and one other person there getting a drink. Both of our drinks had about an inch of a gap. The taste was great, but it annoys me when places do this.

Very cute place with an inviting layout and feels super clean. We decided to share two dishes - Thai salad with chicken - flavorful and lots of salad. There menu isn't huge but they have specialty options that rotate frequently so you can't get sick of it! The indoor seating is nice, but on a sunny day you have to enjoy the outdoor set up. There's great shading from the verandas and umbrellas. The portions are huge for everything but the salads are especially massive. You MUST try the tater tots. They are the best I've ever had. Perfectly crispy and golden, without being excessively greasy. If you get the sandwiches or burgers, you can sub out the fries for free. The fries are good too, but trust me, you will not regret getting the tots.
