What a fun place for a post Dois Irmãos hike, nestled in alto Vidigal. It can be a little tricky to find, but what in Vidigal is easy to find. Ask a local for directions or orient yourself towards the bright orange house near the top right hand side of the mountain.
If you're hiking your legs should be ready to handle the steep steps in this area, built on the hillside. But the views are definitely worth it- overlooking the beaches of Leblon and Ipanema.
They do barbecues every Saturday and seem very friendly. The two ladies seem to have a system down, one works the grill and other stations the bar. Barbecue meats include, steak, sausage and chicken, with sides of seasoned potatoes, white rice, garlic bread and salsa of tomato and red onion.
Drinks included three types of local canned beer (Antarctica, Brahma, Itaipava) $3R and tall, sweet caipirinhas (traditional or abacaxi) $5R.
Complete with loud iPod streamed music, a cold fridge, outdoor patio with view and even a tiny bathroom around the back, this place has the essentials for a good party. read more
