"Clerk" knew full well I didn't live in Paris or even this country, knew I wasn't sure I was going to be able to take item on the plane (bulky item), knew full well that La Poste's mail rates to the US are ridiculous (and didn't mention it) even AFTER giving me directions to the post office and still didn't mention their "no refunds, store credit only" policy - again one line in a frame on the counter. When you stand in line at the French Post Office for over 30 mins only to find it will cost almost 70euros (or 50% of the cost of the item) to ship something that weighs 2kgs to the US ... you say ok, too bad, I tried to buy a few things in Paris and it didn't work out and I'll just return the item. But no, they have ZERO understanding. When I explained why I wanted to return it - the cost of shipping it home - she said something along the lines of "oh but what do you expect?" Well, I'd have expected a little understanding, a little flexibility and a realization on her part that she was partly to blame for not telling me beforehand -since she knew- it would be that expensive to ship! Which basically means you can customize anything you want! I wanted an engraving of a Kanagawa Wave painting on my blue leather iPhone case and he was happy to do it, on the spot in less than 30 min!
