Good place for those with a sweet tooth. Very good cakes, mostly chocolate or nut based. They also serve lunch. It's a extremely tiny shop, though, which can be quite uncomfortable. read more

I felt the attendees not so friendly and lacking patience. Ambience is amazing. Few tables but beautiful. Overall I recommend the place but if you really like coffee, ask for a cappuccino with a double shot, otherwise is just milk. Also they didn't have oat milk or light milk. It was just the fat one!

They offer my favorite hazelnut-crowned Baci chocolates, with unique love notes wrapped inside, in an assortment of packages in any size or shape in either dark or milk chocolate. The shop also sells other Perugina Italian chocolates including 70%, 75%, and 80% pure cacao which are intense and smooth. They have ice cream and Nespresso which you can add some Perugina chocolate which is more like a dessert than a traditional cappuccino. Perugina chocolate is delicious, velvety, and smooth. This boutique is a nice place to stop for chocolate connoisseurs who appreciate quality chocolate and may need an afternoon pick-me-up. The shop is not open on Sunday. (December 2017 Update...it looks like this location may be closing.). www.baciperugina.com

They sell lots of different flavors of chocolate truffles, chocolate bark and some Brazilian treats like pão de mel. This is a great spot for a little afternoon meetup of coffee and sweets or to buy some authentic Brazilian chocolates for visitors when you get burnt out on brigadeiros. As a plus the place is Kosher so you can give the goodies to anyone at the holidays. They also make chocolates in the shape of mini wedding cakes which could be a sweet treat to give to a newly engaged couple.

It is in Bixiga or Little Italy, São Paulo; an area where you will see some beautiful smiles and get some pats on the back and invitations to sit down for coffee and a chat by some very kind, real and hospitable locals. The owner is Frank. A lovely man with a very big and generous heart and a bigger smile. His entire team echoes with his love. He took me on a tour of the entire establishment and had me try five types of bread and I don't mean just tore off small pieces or samples - these were rolls. The freakin' ciabatta, the focaccia, the onion loaf, .......! Needed no butter and no dipping oil. These loaves of fresh and hot bread were popping out of the oven - OMG! The olive oil, the herbs and the milk came together to make these plump and small pieces of art( please see the photo by the oven) have the perfect crust and flavor & texture. The oven - the original oven is 126 years old. Yes, 1897! That is when the Padaria 14 de Julho opened for business. Old school, original recipes, great family tradition, love and warmth. You say São Paulo in Brazil as in 4770 miles south and east of New York and 5770 south and west of Palermo, Sicily? I say Heck Yeah! . But it's only 6 miles from our hotel( the Grand Hyatt São Paulo) and about 15 miles from the international airport. It's magical, it's real it's Padaria 14 de Julho. Get down here guys and gals. Enjoy!

Food here is fatty enough as to be very good, and chairs are available and clean as for it not to be a street place. They say San Pablo has the best pizza in Brazil, I have to admit the one here was a good sample to proof that hypo. It was indeed very good. By the side of the snack part there is the kiosk part, there are some candy full of dust that I didn't dare to check the expiry date and decided to simply leave them there, but a super plus of this place is that it's open until late and they have all sort of sodas, water and no so expirable things that are much cheaper than your candy bar at the hotel. A life saver if you are stuck at the neighborhood, it's late and too lazy to get a taxi.
