This is a small museum of Sephardic Jewry across the street from the Cordoba Synagogue. There is not much about the lives of Sephardic Jews while living in Spain (although a bit about Maimonides) but it provides a lot of information about the Spanish Inquisition and the lives of Sephardic Jews after they left Spain. Definitely worth a visit.
Many of the signs have English descriptions and for the ones that don't, the front desk will provide a pamphlet with the English captions. What was astonishing is that the Spanish Inquisition so completely destroyed every artifact evincing life of the Spanish Jews while in Spain so that there is nothing in the museum from that period. All the artifacts in the museum are from Sephardic Jews living in other countries after leaving Spain. It will take you about 20-30 minutes to see the whole collection. read more
