The staff is super nice and they really take you under their wing to show you a good time. The owners were there during my stay and the staff, guests, owners and friends all went drank in the rooftop and then went out to see some authentic flamenco together. It was awesome. The rooftop has a bar and is great place to chill and meet people! Truly an awesome hostel.

The atmosphere and location were beyond my expectations. We could walk just a few meters to the main church and all the restaurants. The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean and luxurious. He beds were comfortable and the temperature in the room was perfect. The sitting area on the first floor is amazingly inviting and there were chestnuts sitting by a fire in the fireplace at night. We sat and talked and could see the beautiful sights of the city below through the windows.

The hostel is very friendly and intimate. Other hostels I've stayed at can feel more like hotels, but this resembles a bed and breakfast. The common room is used by many guests, as is the kitchen, creating a sense of community. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean, and the location was great. A short walk from the train station, shaded by buildings around it, and close to the city hall square. I would stay again if I came back!

We loved this place and even after a few days we felt like part of the furniture. Place really reminded me of the way chilled but friendly beach hostels were in Australia in the early 2000's.

This hostel blew me away! It was right next to the encarnacion plaza, so it was breathtaking views…read moredaily! It was great to come into a room with all facilities working properly, a decent laundry program and as well as clean bathrooms! The beds were comfortable and it was great to have a comforter with the sheets as hostel rooms usually get cold with the amount of air conditioning they leave on. However, I did notice that it does get slightly noisy at nighttime as the rooftop bar closes around midnight daily and there are also a couple bars right under the hostel. I'd suggest getting a room that is not facing the plaza and away from the streets. The staff is also the best I've seen so far. I decided to stay a couple extra nights and they accommodated me with ease when I requested to not get my room changed and as well as keep the bottom bunk. The free breakfast was also fantastic when compared to other hostels that I've been to. Being lactose-intolerant, the hostel even provided soy milk and other products for those with dietary restrictions, simply unheard of!

We had visited the hostel earlier in the day just to make sure we knew where it was, and ask questions regarding our point of meetup. When the time came, we went to the rooftop of the hostel as instructed and waited. And waited.... and waited. 30 minutes later, we start actively looking for someone to help us. The rooftop was riddled with people (primarily teens) smoking up. When we finally met our bar hop guide, he told us that no one else had registered for the event so it was cancelled. My boyfriend and I requested a private room with its own bathroom which was very clean and more spacious than we anticipated. Also worth noting that the rooms all seem to have air conditioning which is a god send in the Sevilla summer heat. The bed itself was very firm (probably too firm for my tastes) with two small pillows. I'm a total pillow hog so I would have preferred at least a third pillow for two people but for the price we paid, beggars can't be choosers. Mikel (the owner or manager) was very very friendly and helpful, and the check/in check out process was easy. Since I've never stayed in other hostels before I don't know if it is common protocol for the keys to be returned as you come and go throughout your stay, but this was the case at La Casa de la Luna, so we had to remember to bring the key with us (and lock our door) every time we left. Location wise this hostel is great if you're looking to see both the Cathedral and the Alcazar which were a quick 2-3 minute walk around the corner.

The room was big, had air conditioning, a fridge and microwave, and a private bath. The canopied double bed was a tad small for two of us, but was very comfy. The bathroom was smallish and the shower a bit claustrophobic, but the water pressure was forceful. The liquid soap dispenser was full of water, not helpful, and there was no shampoo or conditioner available, so a small bar of soap would have been the only option had we not brought our contingency shower gel with us. The restaurant is 100 meters away on the plaza which is also where we checked-in. Ristorante Italiano Tuscana has an extensive menu of antipasti, pastas, meat dishes, desserts, and a full bar. They have an indoor, air-conditioned dining room and tables outdoors on the plaza. The food was very good, the portions appropriate, and the prices fair. We ate there twice and enjoyed our meals along with their resident dog, Rocco, who was very sweet, lingering near outdoor diners, but not begging or being a nuisance at all. Our dinners, a starter, main and wine/water ran around €50, not bad for good meal for two. The first night we has l'insalata caprese €8 and tortelli 4 formaggi ai burro e salvia €15 for my wife and the lasagna bolognese €10 for me along with a bottle of water with gas and a liter of sangria €12. My lasagna was delicious and HUGE, but my wife's tortelli had not been properly drained, watering down the rich butter and sage sauce, but my wife still enjoyed it. On the subsequent evening, we forewent the starter, my wife ordering the tagliatelli con funghi €10, me the spaghetti carbonara, and sharing the cotoletta alla milanese €12, a bottle of water and two glasses of house red wine. All were very tasty, especially the carbonara which was prepared in the traditional way by adding egg yokes just before serving with plenty o' pepper ... HOOAH! At €65 for our room, much lower in the off-season, Hostal Sixto and Ristorante Toscana were a definite Travelvalue and worth a return visit the next time we go to Naval Air Station Rota.
