They have two happy hours 3-5PM, 10PM-12AM, and different options between the two. I went to the first one around 4PM, and with the rain, I was the only one here when I arrived. Off the HH menu, I got the Montucky ($3 lager) and chicken liver mousse ($7 with apricot). The Montucky was good, but it was just a canned beer. The mousse was excellent, and the apricot was more tart than sweet, with green onions as well to offset the richness of the mousse. It comes with warm focaccia bread with olive oil. This was excellent, and if you like chicken mousse, you'll like this. I got the clam pizza ($22, market price) which was excellent too. I'm really partial to clam pizza, and this rivalled the ones that I've had before in NY/CT. You really get the clam taste, and whatever the sauce is (white sauce? olive oil?) complements the clam really well. The lemon is necessary and adds more flavor. read more

We normally love cart driver but todays experience was absolutely terrible and we only did pick-up. We showed up right at the pick up time which was an hour after we placed our order, and were told they hadn't started it but they will have it ready in 7 minutes. After about 10 minutes, we checked back in and the hostess was completely dismissive. After another 20 minutes, we checked in, still nothing. Finally 10 minutes later we checked in and the hostess said, "oh it's right here" and never brought it over to us when it came out. I was thankful we were just doing take out because another couple was told 30 minutes for a table but was waiting for over an hour and a half and again, the hostess completely dismissed them when they checked in on timing and blatantly ignored them as they turned to another person to start speaking. CD is located in a chic converted shipping container connex. Parking is difficult and the front door is located behind work and class on 25th street. Once inside you order at the counter and receive a number for them to bring food to you. Indoor seating is very snug with 3 tight booths. If you walk to the back patio it has more seating but since it's outside the winter or hot summer can be uncomfortable. The food and drink options are simple and quick. Tomato focaccia was pretty good. Chopped salad was great. Summer salad had pecorino cheese listed on the menu, but it tasked a bit like blue to me so I wasn't a fan. Crusts on the pizza are fab. We tried the "white" with castelvetrano olives and fresh basil and the "summer" with fresh tomatoes. Both were pretty good, but I wanted a bit of salt and prob should have gotten one with red sauce. Came here for a light-dinner on a Sunday evening- had to wait about 15 min (they do have a text notification option so you can go walk around). I realized there isn't a lot of seating (maybe because of the pandemic but I also think the space is relatively small) so expect to wait during peak meal times. I got the Campari which when I first got it there was no carbonation (it's supposed to have prosecco and blood orange soda) but the waiter got me a new once which I appreciated. We really wanted to try the clam pizza because a lot of reviews mentioned it but they were unfortunately sold out so we went with the mushrooms pizza per waiter's recommendation. The pizza was on the smaller side for its price, but it was really good. I loved how large the mushrooms were because you could really taste it in each slide. They also had a green chili which complimented the pizza really well. What I found odd was when we ordered our drinks and pizza, the waiter asked for a card to open a tab. We said we didn't want to open a tab so we ended up paying for our meal before even getting it. I would think the restaurant would want to have the customer pay at the end so we can tip based off the service we were provided (which we barely experienced yet by the time we were paying). TLDR; drink wasn't good (and very small), pizza was delicious but small, payment style was odd. read more

It's located in the RiNo neighborhood, which is the arts district of Denver and the neighborhood has a lot of breweries. The place was small with like 3 booths in the main area, but I think there was more seating out in the back on a patio. You order at the counter and then they would give you a number and bring the food out to you. We ordered 6 oysters to share as a starter, which were delicious! I'm fairly certain that they are shipped daily to Cart-Driver from the coasts so they are extremely fresh. We ordered the Cart-Driver & Peppers pies. The pies are wood fire almost Neapolitan style. They were about 10" in size so each of us dudes could easily eat one pie by ourselves. The crust was soft and fluffy and had a tangy sauce. There needed to be a little bit more sauce as the sauce to cheese ratio was a little off. The cheese was good and it had a good amount of it. The toppings were extremely fresh and the best part! I expected Colorado to have great produce. For some reason the midwest isn't super great when it comes to produce especially when compared to out west. The guys working there were friendly and the food came out pretty fast. Prices were average with the pizzas at about $18-$20/pie and $3-$4/oyster. They had a water jug to pour your own water. Came here again to try yet another pizza off their menu. We came here on a Saturday night and waited 1 1/2 hours for just one pizza. In sum do not come here on a Saturday night around 6:30 because you WILL be waiting a WHILE. Especially if it's just one pizza. Sadly, the pizza did not make the wait worth it. We ordered the focaccia bread with roasted garlic on the side and the Mariner Pizza with sardines. Nothing like a classic Sicilian style pizza with just a tomato base and bread to really put a pizza restaurant really to the test. Unfortunately the sauce left QUITE a bit to be desired lacking a lot of acidity. The sauce itself isn't good enough to stand on its own--which is probably why in other pizzas we have tried we feel like the table top sauce (vinegar/hot sauce) is a requirement. We did a roadtrip all over Colorado and this was the best place we ate at!!! We really wanted to try their infamous clam pizza but they had already sold out for the day. But they were able to make it work by subbing the clams with one of their canned mussels .. absolutely delicious! The staff was a vibe, music was blasting at 10pm. We also had their mushroom pizza .. We ordered a whole lot of food as we sat in a specially dedicated section of the joint with seven peeps! Getting in the Cart is an interesting process. I've seen a surge of techniques now that we are deep in this COVID era and Cart gets extra points for their tactics. Entry is legit as the place is locked down like a prison... Cart-Driver was amazing! The employees were so kind and helpful. But the best part was how allergy-friendly the food was! In my party, we had someone who is gluten-free (me) and someone who is dairy-free and the pizza here accommodated to all of us! The gluten-free crust was one of the best pizza crusts I've ever had. I tried the seasonal Peachza and it was delicious! The fresh peaches and the chili honey was so good. The dairy-free cheese was also great, you could barely tell it was non-dairy! If you're wanting to dine inside, it's pretty small, cramped, and noisy, but the back patio was lovely! We popped in after a day of hopping around Rino and ordered a dozen oysters and the clam pizza. I also got the messed up Negroni - which was great. A messed-up Negroni means the drink is topped with prosecco instead of gin and it makes for a much lighter cocktail. The pizza was cooked perfectly and had not only clams but pancetta as well. The oysters were also awesome. As if there aren't enough things to like about the great pizza and oysters, add in a TWICE daily happy hour at Cart-Driver (including one late night from 10 pm-midnight) to solidify this spot as a can't miss.
