I like Carrefour whenever in Europe. Reminds me of their version of Target. This one was only a few block walk from my hotel, but not the type I was used to. It was just a small convenience store, but still with plenty of great stuff at great price for cheap breakfast and lunch snacks. Also had great beer, wine, and liquor selection way cheaper than hotel bar. I am a fan and will be back. read more

This massive box store provides some relief as an American because, at least, we're not the only place that litters its landscape with monstrosities and forces ourselves to bear the shopping experience. That said, this particular Carrefour seems to me to be a bit more of a madhouse than others. Persistently crowded and not the cleanest, the several times I shopped here were more out of necessity than desire. As for their offerings, I was particularly happy with the selection of cheeses, yogurts, and dried meats. Sure, that's to be expected of a European grocer but, seriously, this was more than I could even comprehend. read more
