Do not do business with this company. They are absolute con artists who will promise you the world and deliver nothing. I ordered a simple carport over two months ago, and it still has not been delivered to my property. The installation company they paired me with has been just as disappointing. Communication has been practically nonexistent, and you're simply expected to figure out what's going on without any updates or information. To make matters worse, when I called to voice my concerns and requested a refund so I could take my business elsewhere, I was informed that my deposit is non-refundable. Save yourself the frustration, wasted time, and money. Take your business elsewhere and be very cautious when dealing with this company. read more

What a scam!! Waited 18 weeks and out my deposit of $6,100!!! Canceled my ordered after months of calling and trying to get my shop. Beyond frustrated. Wish I would have read all the other bad reviews before I paid! Originally told it would be 4 weeks, Kept saying the colors were out of stock and then said they wouldn't install it (which is included in my price) it would have been another $8,000 extra to pay another company to install. read more

if they had a minus 5 I would give it. I financed my building and concrete together. I paid for the concrete out of pocket because I was told they would send me my money as soon as I sent the pictures of the finished pad. well one month later, I've sent pictures of the finished pad to 4 different people, and all 4 of them told me they would call me right back. still haven't had a call from anyone. I've released the concrete money to them from my loan, they won't send me my money. My building is up and I will not be releasing anymore of the loan money to them until I receive my money for the concrete. stay away from these people. BEWARE! This company repeatedly will not take "NO" for an answer. Even after I blocked their phone number, they call from different numbers. I got angry with them one time about it, so now they don't even call about selling me anything. They call and play loud music, curse me out, and talk in "space alien" type voices over an A.I. generated machine. I'm 54 years old & and have dealt with some bad companies before, but this one really takes the cake! SO HAPPY I DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! It's gotten so bad, that I'd like to get the police involved, in both a criminal investigation and a civil lawsuit. read more

As for my experience with carport central the salesman has been very nice and responsive. Problem is I purchased a 20x40 rv cover with my deposit and asked about delivery time before sending deposit. Was told 4-6 weeks or sooner. I told them before my deposit that I must have by the end of six weeks as this is a church campgrounds for delivery and once kids are there we couldn't have them in there putting it up as would be a hazard with kids present. The kids would be arriving after seven weeks from deposit. We are now at six weeks and have been told they couldn't do it at that time frame because they have to have enough other runs or sales in my area before they couldn't bring my $7000 cover. The date they are giving is when kids are present during camps which I told them before had to be in that 6-7 week window. So my purchase is not doing me the good to cover my rv during the camp season that I purchased it for. Then when the kids will be gone they can't guarantee that date either because they may not have other sales on my area. This is not treating me as a customer correctly and I have talked with several managers and promised a call back the next day but didn't happen. Said I could call him also but no answer and left voicemail with no response. The contract is ridiculous if you go back and read all the fine print but one thing it says is they want to satisfy the customer 109% but yet they don't stand by their delivery dates! I will not recommend this company and there are a lot of people at the campgrounds area that want rv covers but I will not recommend this company at all unless they make this right in the next week! Read the contract VERY carefully before you sign!!! I suppose, by pure chance, it all works out for some people some of the time. But the odds are stacked against you based on the contract language. Please take your time reading the contract so you can fully understand what you're getting into! And ask to see the contract before you turn over your money. I thought it was strange that they require you to make a deposit BEFORE they send you the contract. Now I understand why - their contract is horrible for the customer but Carport Central has themselves totally covered and I think they assume most people won't read the contract. It's all there in the many pages of print...they do not manufacture or install the carports, they're just a middleman and are not responsible for anything that goes wrong, they don't guarantee the workmanship, they can't guarantee an installation date, if the project is delayed they can change the amount, the subcontractor can add additional charges, etc. Most importantly, you can't get your deposit back once you sign, no matter the reason!!! Basically, you as the customer are assuming all the risk and taking a huge gamble. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews before wasting my time with Carport Central. In my opinion, their whole pitch when you talk to their salespeople is misleading and their business practices are unethical. Luckily, we didn't sign the contract and were able to get our deposit back but I feel really bad for all the people who weren't so fortunate. read more

repeated follow-ups on my part, I am left with nothing but frustration. Despite the clear terms of our agreement, which included receiving timely support and action from their side, not only did they fail to deliver on their promises, but I was also left having to chase them down every step of the way. They never took the necessary actions to move the process forward without my prompting. In fact, I was shocked to learn that they never placed the order with the main service provider until I contacted them directly, which ultimately forced the provider to reach out to the company. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. It is evident that they are either unwilling or unable to follow through on their commitments. I expected much more from a company that advertises itself as reliable and efficient. I would not recommend Carport Central] to anyone looking for dependable service. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere--this company has not only wasted my time but also failed to meet even the most basic expectations. read more

if I could give negative stars, I would. This has been the absolute worst customer service experience I've ever had and our building isn't even built yet. Initially, there was a problem with our site not being level despite being approved when we sent in the photo. We corrected the site and sent in a new photo. Now no one will return our calls, texts, or emails. Piles of materials were offloaded and left in our driveway and we were charged $300 for the offloading. I've never dealt with an entity so unprofessional and inconsiderate. This company was more than happy to take our money then abandon the project. I've had better customer experiences with a teenager at my local McDonald's. Please do yourself a favor and seek another option for your project. This outfit is a complete joke read more

CarportCentral.com had a good website & their sales were friendly. That's the only good things I could say & things quickly went downhill since ordering. They're holding my $2117 deposit hostage based on a hurried Docusign & in the end, the metal fabricators they're 3rd partied with can't even build the $12k+ building according to wind hazard safety standards in the south Houston area, which was clear in a memo with a map of my area from the builders. Off the bat, be very very wary of this outfit. They do have numerous positive reviews and that can not be questioned. I ordered a building in 2024. Carport Central provided associate installer names as required by the county for permitting. I asked for my down payment back many times over. They refer to the contract and claim they had significant investment in the order. Not so. Contract companies that are not registered, made up information etc. Then they wanted me to pay for a contractor to get his general contractors license in the county. Initially I was called by the manufacturer to verify door and window placement. The last from ABN never called and I needed changes. I asked for better communication multiple times. Never happened. The person I was dealing with send me documents for signature that included a room with no door or window. They do not check their work prior to sending it for signature. Incompetence, substandard design tools, one sided contracts etc. I was told that my concrete has to cure for two weeks and then they install. Three months after and I still have no building. There is a lot more to share about this experience. Do not buy from Carport Central unless you only need a four sided building with a door and a window. read more

Do Not Use This Company!!! Purchased in good faith knowing I would need to permit my desired 12'x25' RV cover. I was assured that a refund would be possible if it did not work out. After about 6 or more weeks going back and forth with the city and Complex Steel(a Carport Central subcontractor), I felt like both parties were holding me hostage for information the other party wanted. After the city forced me to place the all steel non-combustible cover no closer than 5' from my house and the property line causing the structure to be reduced to 10'x25', I decided it just wasn't worth it. I forfeited my city fees, but my Carport Central contract states: " b. If an order is canceled prior to manufacturing, the deposit can be refunded but will incur a transaction fee of the greater of $50 or 25% of the deposit amount." I should receive a refund of about $525. The company is now ghosting me. I have written to my sales person, Jason, repeatedly, but he has not responded. I advise all buyers to do due diligence. I can't believe a company is allowed to operate the way they do. I wish I would have researched them better before placing an order. It's been 14 months since I placed an order for a building. I've gotten every excuse on their list about why the order can't be fulfilled. I got tired of waiting and asked for a refund of my down payment. I was told the contract states it is non refundable. How can a company not fulfill their end of the deal yet keep your money? Calls to the manager go unanswered and unreturned. Jeff the manager responded to this poor review within hours, but can't find the time to call a customer back after several messages have been left. This company is a scam. They finally called me last week and said they would be here this week. Not only was I charged more than $400 more than what my contract stated, when the contracted builders showed up 2 days late they didn't have reliable equipment to do the job. My wife had to jump their truck off the first day and I got a call at 7:30 am stating that they needed another jump at their hotel 20 minutes from my house and of course another jump off to allow them to leave. Critical: Professionalism BEWARE!: I purchased a metal garage from Alan's Factory Outlet who apparently subbed the job out to this company known as Carolina Carports, Inc. [FYI; when Alan of Alan's Factory Outlet finally heard about this situation, he went way beyond the call of duty to offer an enormously generous offer to help rectify things; Alan is a 'stand-up' guy with great principals]. Be sure to read Carolina Carport's mostly negative reviews first before doing business with this firm. When they came to my home to install my garage, the installer had forgotten to bring 4 windows which went with my building. Accidents happen, and that is not the problem I have with this outfit. In general, they did a nice job except for one rear corner where they ruined the entire piece of siding by butchering some type of horrible metal cutting work--this was not necessary with even the slightest of care about how my job looked. Now I am stuck with an ugly sharp jagged shard and edge with is rusting and just waiting to slice someone's foot who ventures near not realizing the danger. Furthermore, when the installer came back about 3 months later to install the 4 missing windows, they brought with them a very bad abusive attitude blaming me for some reason. While here they began to dismantle my building in an aggressive manor until I asked them to just leave the windows with me to install myself. They did just that, and conveniently left my once newly constructed building falling apart with screws removed all my driveway. I am very disturbed about all of this; when I emailed Alan's factory Outlet to discuss these issues with them, a lady named Suzie instantly passed me on to Carolina Carports and a lady named Heather Smith. Heather began ridiculing me almost immediately and made the following statement to me which I resent: "why are we even having this conversation in the first place?",where she pointed out that the warranty period had passed. How condescending, rude, and inconsiderate can anyone be to address anyone in this manor? Having just recently installed a walking pathway back behind my garage, I had only recently gone around back where I finally noticed the shard dangerous jagged siding slash. There is no excuse for this kind of workmanship even if it is near the back. Then every time I saw it again, I became more and more concerned about this workmanship and the danger the shard shards can pose to someone's bare foot. I have attached a photo of the sharp jagged ripped metal which their installer did and left like that. Heather said the garage is now out of the warranty period, but that she would drop off a new piece of siding for me to do myself; and at no time offered me any apology for the behavior of their contractor, or the terrible siding cut which they had left. Heather has had an anti-customer lousy attitude with me from the gitgo, and its funny sometimes how abusive lousy attitudes seem to permeate through the particular organization as a whole. read more

You will be better off burning your money than to have car port central build a carport for you. They are the sleaziest company I have ever done business with. We just started a new farm and needed a barn. We contracted with car port central to build it, we were promised it could be done right away because we are a farm and considered essential services. We paid extra to have the concrete work done expeditiously, we were promised by Car port centrals installers that they would build it the week after the comcrete was done. We finished the concrete and were told they would be here the end of the following week. We called to confirm They were coming and were told they were shut down by the state of NY for failing to have workers compensation insurance. Regardless of Covid-19 or not you are required as a contractor to keep your insurance in force, we had to with our businesses, why shouldn't they? You do not want to do business with Car Port Central they notified me today that they have up to 8 months by contract to build your car port barn or whatever they sell you. This is the least reputable company I have ever dealt with and I would recommend you burn your money rather than buy from them you will get the same level Of satisfaction read more

Run the other direction from this company. Carport central. I would advise not doing business with this company. They took a deposit from me I had told them my timeline that was way out into the future, time to get permitting, concrete work was assured this was no issue, then covid hit. I called to set them up to put the building up,the builder they use had canceled my order( they never even called me to tell me this ,I found out when I called and told them I was ready to build) then I was told it would be now another 9500.00 cause of price increases and when I said no I would want my money back on a 7500.00 deposit they offered a little over 1000.00. I already lost 2500.00 on the plans. Now nothing but crickets from those who would refund the deposit and a nasty letter threating to sue me cause I started telling others my story. I would run the other way. Just read what others people who have used them/ have put up buildings ,issues with the buildings, timelines and nothing but crickets from them. This people are scam artists. I first reached out to Justin brim I told him my only concern was time frame considering we have a business we are starting and needed a spray booth built. He ensured that us was six weeks or less we have all the emails to prove everything. We were purchasing a 30x41 garage. After this lead time was ensured to us we then pulled the financing so now we have an open line of credit with these scammers and now we are told after signing the contract it was an 11-14 week lead time. Was so confusing. Last Friday Justin called us asking us to finish signing the contracts but the door placement was not right and we didn't feel comfortable I think he knew the lead time was bogus and maybe he was worried we were going to back out. Or maybe he wanted his commission check. So now we have this contract all based off a lie and come Monday we call Candra at the manufacturing company and she told us the real time 11-14 weeks. We can't do this. We would have never signed up with them if we were told this. Candra said she has never heard of that short of lead time and he should have not said that. All these calls are recorded told to me by chip the finance manager this morning with the gm as he threatened me he would pull them and post them on the internet if I wrote what happened there which made me laugh because it would completely show how bad they are and scammers. I reached out to everyone I could Monday and then told Kay who is head of customer service we wanted our deposit back to go put on something else and nothing. It's Thursday and after many emails and I mean many which we have them all from day one and all the call logs that chip said he'd get for us. So please reach out if you want this info and know you are dealing with the scum of the earth. Finally today after having a three way call with Eric in customer service chip in financing and Jeffery the gm getting no where and them also saying we signed the contract. I'm shocked that a business can continue to run being ran the way it is. I am following up with the bbb ive posted a complaint on there and have filed them under scam and frauds so soon we will know. I'm also reaching out to the finance company and the credit bureaus to let them know how these people pull you in with lies especially if they know what you need most and get you to sign. Who asks a person to sign a contract that's not even correct and it's around 24 grand. These people have no consideration for anyone but their fat belly paychecks. Carport central I challenge you to tell the world how you justify this and how you tried to justify all this on the phone this morning. Good day. Added to my post. Nobody ever told us the lead time changed. Chip in financing said he was going to post all the phone calls so do it so everyone can see how scummy you are. Ive contacted the attorney general ive contacted bbb international because obviously you guys are in bed together. Scum I'm going to go to the end with this next we are getting a lawyer when we get our signing bonus so have a good day jefferey. Oh wait and another thing if it were me and someone said this stuff about me but it wasn't true I mean publicly too I'd get a lawyer to sue them for slander but that's not happening here you're just trying to push me around and act like it's our fault. Have fun being audited this could have been a lot easier if you guys took responsibility and got her credit report the pull you guys did and open line of credit removed. Which is a thing I researched it but again it's our fault. Pos read more

Carport central took my money first before they gave me the contract. I couldn't build the garage, it was too big for my yard. I told them about it & they wouldn't refund me at least half of my deposit back. They should of gave me the contract first & told me to get a permit before taking $1700 from me. If you buy from them you might want to read the contract first before giving them money. They will ask for your money first tell them no. Don't expect to have your garage/shed build right away. It took 8 months just to get an engineer plan. They don't call you to tell you why it's taking so long to come out and build it, they just keep making excuses. They been telling everyone it's my fault for not reading the contract, they never gave me the contract til the day after I gave them money. They do take a long long time to come out and build it like 1-1/2 year or more. If you change your mind they won't refund you. I had to report them to BBB & FTC I'm not the only one who complained about them to BBB. I wish I would of read all the bad reviews against them and looked them up on BBB before they took my money. Everyone Buy or Beware!!! I just don't want this to happen to you. I'm tired of your lame excuse! It's never your fault. Always blaming your customers. I tried being reasonable with you guys by paying me back half of $1700 But NO your too greedy! I don't recommend anyone going through Carport Central!!! They do take forever to build garages/sheds!!! They always have excuses about everything. read more
