I always tell my friends that my superpower of choice would be teleportation, and this is a prime…read moreexample of how I would use my powers... Cerâmicas na Linha was widely recommended by acquaintances and influencers all over Tiktok but none of that prepared me for the overwhelming compulsion to buy everything minutes after stepping into the shop. Were it not for luggage restrictions, I would have definitely done a lot more damage here.
While the store itself is not super large, it's easy to spend hours browsing as there are a multitude of items ranging from decorative centerpieces, ornamental trinkets to practical tableware as well as intricate Portuguese tiles. I was just in Japan marveling over all the ceramics that I wished I could bring home, but I have to say the Portuguese ceramic game is on a whole another level... the pieces are unique (no two pieces are identical), well-made and best of all, very economically priced.
I ended up purchasing multiple pieces of tableware (plates and bowls) while my partner bought a large ornamental ceramic cat as a gift -- all for around 70 euros! Make sure to ask them for bubble wrap (priced at 1€ per square meter-- the ladies at the counter will tell you how much you need) to protect your pieces for the journey home. A must visit during your trip to Lisbon to stock up on the most unique of gifts and home tableware, but if you plan on visiting I would recommend bringing along an extra suitcase! :^)
