I wanted a new farm-style table for our dining room but it had to coordinate with our Henkle Harris cherry corner cabinet, sideboard and chairs. I love the Fancy Fixing table I bought from Carolina Farmstead. I purchased it about a month ago and it is a centerpiece to my house. I am still trying to figure out what chairs to get but the table looks beautiful and I get so many compliments on it. A few highlights of my experience include: The service: Kelly was great at responding promptly with any questions I had about the table. I told her I wanted a table a bit darker than what I had seen in the pictures and she made it happen. I am quite a micro manager because I like things a certain way and the Carolina Farmstead team accommodated all my needs! The commitment: I was a bit nervous about buying a table that I hadn't seen exactly. With reclaimed wood you never know what you are going to get. I was a bit nervous about the color but Kelly mentioned to me that if I didn't like the color of the table I received, she would send me a new one free of charge. The table color came out perfect the first time but just knowing that if it didn't I could get a new one gave me a lot of comfort. The table itself: It is so strong and looks beautiful. It weighs a lot because the legs and top and thick and sturdy. I truly get so many compliments on it. I was looking at tables at west elm, crate and barrel, and other stores and they just didn't compare. The ones at the other stores were so flimsy and I felt would break so easily. They probably wouldn't but they just looked weak. Regardless, I (and all my visitors) love my table. The delivery: The table itself was made in a few weeks which was great. The deliver was delayed a few times because of snow and also their truck broke down once. But still it was only 1 week late. Overall: GREAT EXPERIENCE and I hoping to get them to make me something else for my house soon. read more

I also saw a Yelp review Oct 2015 which is now gone, stating that they gave Carolina Farmstead 50% down for an item for purchase. Do not order from them!! They took my money for a deposit and then never delivered a product! They promised a table within 8 weeks and then would never agree to a meeting to pick out the wood. They promised me a refund and have not done so after two months. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and seeking legal counsel. read more

My wife and I wanted a table that could seat up to 12 on our patio but we quickly realized we were limited on size with the area we had. We wanted a unique table and we were frustrated with what the big retailers offered. So we started looking for a custom table in Virginia, then moved to an internet search in NC and found Carolina Farmstead. Natalie was so nice helping us plan the custom size table we needed. It took a little longer than expected due to them getting a lot of orders but that was good for them. Justin kept in communication and our table arrived the week before Thanksgiving and was at the center of our pre-Thanksgiving dinner outside with all our appetizers, oysters, clams and great conversation. We got the "Fancy Fixings" table and they put a double coat of marine varnish on it since it will be outside on a covered patio. The workmanship is tops, and it is solid!
