Five Stars isn't enough. When 1-800-you-know-who didn't have anything in the area I was stumped. I don't know the Calabasas / Topanga area so of course I Googled. I checked out Carola's website and found her designs beautiful. I called her because I'm old school and like to talk to people rather than text/email. She was so sweet. I told her I needed a sympathy design but I didn't want a cookie cutter look. She knew exactly what I was talking about. She was very upfront with me saying that her specialty was not sympathy or funerals but that she can make it happen for me. In the end, her gorgeous design was the show stopper at the Celebration of Life for my good friend (this picture does not do it justice). A colleague of ours, who lives in West Hills, unfortunately lost his grandfather during the Stay At Home Order so I looked to Yelp. We all know going in blind on Yelp can be scary!!! Carola's Yelp reviews were spot on, IG pictures were great and Yelp pictures were beautiful too. Are they cheap? No, beautiful flowers rarely are. We received a call to let us know that due to COVID-19 their supply for vases had been diminished so the vase wouldn't be identical to the picture. That made me nervous!!! I'm one of those perfectionists who drive people crazy but Carola didn't mind it and was so sweet and very accommodating. Carola's Floral Designs provided the florals for my Malibu wedding in April 2021. Regarding the florals, Carola did an excellent job; my bouquet and the rest of the flowers provided were gorgeous. However, on the day of the wedding, Carola and her team were an HOUR AND A HALF late for the event; in fact, they were still setting up the event flowers after many of our guests had arrived! They gave no indication/warning to me the day of the wedding regarding just how late they were going to be; their arrival was a surprise to all of us. This meant I didn't have my bouquet for the first look and our pre-ceremony beach photos. No apology whatsoever from Carola or her team. It was never even mentioned by them. read more
