5 Sentidos is an incredible little gem owned and operated by a wonderful woman named Elena. I was…read moredesperate for a facial after two weeks of travel and a very long flight to Spain had left my face completely devastated. My skin was the worst it's been in years and I really needed help to turn things around. After searching through the options online, I found the one review of 5 Sentidos, left by a gentleman who was a big fan of his visit, and decided to give it a try.
I was able to book appointments for myself and my sister right on the website, and Elena followed up with me immediately via email to make sure I knew how to get to the salon and that she understood exactly what treatments we wanted. Elena and I went back and forth over email a few times and she was incredibly quick and kind in her responses.
Elena first consulted with my sister and I about our skin concerns, and talked us out of a more aggressive treatment as she felt we both just needed a gentle but thorough cleansing facial. Her recommendation was about half the price of the treatment we originally requested, and she even told us we should try not to get facials very often as it was important to give our skin time to heal itself. It was obvious that her primary concern was helping with our specific concerns, not trying to pile on additional services we didn't need. My sister and I both were amazed by how much we enjoyed the treatment and the amazing difference we saw in our skin, both immediately after the facial and again the next morning when our skin had cleared even more. Elena was gentle, thorough and very knowledgable. She took the time to give us each a ton of advice about our skin's condition and how to improve it through both our skin care routine and diets. I usually receive facials in the US with Murad products, but felt that the products Elena chose to use on my skin were of even higher quality and better suited to my needs.
I also received fotodepilación (laser hair removal) on my underarms, which was super fast and only slightly uncomfortable. The laser Elena has is much nicer than the one my US dermatologist uses (probably because medical devices are released in Europe at least 3.5 years in advance of their US release on average and Elena has the most up-to-date device). I wish I could go back to Elena for the 4-5 follow up treatments I'd need to totally get rid of these spots. The price was also incredibly reasonable (30 Euros) for the treatment compared to what you'd pay in the US ($150+).
If you're in Salamanca and looking for a little pampering, I highly recommend a visit!
