We bought a third car and never drive our BMW X3. It's not that we didn't love it, we just don't drive as much. We both work from home and our big adventure now is a 3 mile trip to Publix. So we decided to sell the SUV. Mind you a car that just sat in the air conditioned garage. A car I just had ceramic coated. A car that literally doesn't have a ding or dent anywhere. And miles do low I'm embarrassed to even mention. It's cherry. This is our third car over the years we sold to Carmax. Again, such a smooth process. Gabrielle helps us and we were out of there in about 20 minutes. If you want a fair price and a stress free process--check out Carmax.

On 11-19-2020 We went in search of a new car since our car was totaled in an accident. No one bothered us as we walked around looking at the car we thought fit our price point, mileage and make and model of what we had planned on. After seeing one that fit tight into our budget we inquired about it. The salesman Kevin was so helpful. Things are done very differently today due to covid-19 and they took every precaution necessary, wearing masks the whole time and had hand sanitizers everywhere. We test drove the car and there was a noise in the front. As soon as I mentioned this to Kevin he was right on it. Went for management and took it directly to the garage to have it looked at. It turned out one tire was a bit low on air however they did a full front end alignment just to cover all bases. The car came back noise free. Since we already had financing in place this went extremely smooth. I will definitely come back here again and do business. Lastly, they closed at 9 pm. They stayed until our paper work was complete and we were in our car before closing up for the night which ended up being close to 10 pm or a little after. They just went above and beyond their job and for that I thank them. I felt like I was given the royal treatment and after all the stress that many of us are feeling, it felt good to have some one treat you like you really mattered and they did just that. I'm sharing this experience in hopes of getting some clarity and resolution…read more We brought our Jeep into CDJR of Fort Myers for a transfer case issue (slipping in reverse) and an ABS recall. We were told it would take 1-2 days, and we had to rent a vehicle during that time. After calling for the first two days, we were told the vehicle had not yet been looked at. On the third day, we were informed of approximately $12,000 in repairs -- yet the original issue had still not been diagnosed, and the recall had not yet been completed. We were charged an inspection fee (later reduced), but are now being told it would cost an additional $800 just to diagnose the original concern. The recall has now been completed, but the issue we brought the vehicle in for remains unaddressed. We were also told there may be an oil leak, which we have never observed. At this point, we are being asked to pick up the vehicle without clarity on whether it is safe to drive, after multiple days of rental costs and no resolution to the original concern. We are simply asking for a clear, accurate evaluation of the vehicle so we can understand what is actually wrong and make informed decisions -- especially with a young child and another on the way. I saw the commercial and said, what do I have to loose? Well nothing - in minutes I was approved. I had an inventory of cars to look at without even getting to the lot. My next thing was well . . . I am an hour north of this lot, I don't want to drive down there multiple times . . . .I call get to speak with Jacob Rice and WOW!! He worked with me via phone. I told him what I wanted and he told me my options. I said, I want to be totally prepared before I get there because it's not like I live around the corner. He told me what he needed, we worked via phone and email and when I did get there - not only was there NO HASSLE, I ended up getting a car I wanted verse what I thought I would have to take! Jacob (aka Jake) was such a pleasure to work with and cannot say enough good about him! Even the finance person - Travis Phipps - great person to work with too! He was fun to talk with, he walked us through everything and answered all and any questions. I would recommend anyone who needs a car and some help with financing to contact them!

I've let this smolder for about a week but still can't let it go. I needed a car and ended up…read morestopping at almost every lot up and down Fowler looking for "the one," this is the ONLY lot that left a bad taste in my mouth. I was very honest with what I was looking for (under $4k, tall ask in today's market, I know), and this is the only lot that push push pushed me to finance. The man that "helped" me pulled out all the stops "I wouldn't let my daughters drive a 4 thousand dollar car," "Oh, you want to pay cash? Your father can't help you? Nobody else to get on a loan?" Wow. My father? A young woman (30+ thank you very much) can't go to a car lot to buy a car without her DADDY helping her? NEWS FLASH! I have WAY more money than he does, and he could be dead for all you know, dude. Sometimes people want to pay CASH and own a car instead of being tied to people like you. I had the 10k+ cash for cars on that lot and would be willing to pay if not for this jack---. Avoid. At all costs. And car lot dude, put out the cigarette when you are talking to people. XO. Hannah

"My managers don't quite like it when im trying to help a customer out and make a great deal."…read more (Above is response I received from my sales person via text after I submitted an offer on a vehicle that Grant Motors had in stock) If you are looking for a dealership that helps customers out or makes great deals then it appears you have come to the wrong place! I submitted a well thought out offer to my sales person only to hear about that the average retail price of the car they are selling exceeds their "book value" asking price. That my sales person's "hands were tied" and that "his managers don't quite like it when [he] is trying to help a customer out and make a great deal" and that "[he] can't keep getting yelled at for trying to get a deal done." When I showed the sales person that their vehicle Was advertised on a different website for less then their counter offer and book value asking price I was told (in part) quote "Idk what picture you just sent me, I don't really understand it tbh but I'm sure its beyond my pay grade" So this place apparently makes no great deals, the managers don't like it when the sales people help the customer out, the managers yell at the sales people for trying to get a deal done, and a screenshot of the vehicle advertised on the internet at a lower price is above the sales persons pay grade. A call to the owner (as of the time of this post) went unreturned. Note: At the time of this review Grant Motors is a two Yelp Star dealership.

After one year, I sold the car and requested a refund for the unused portion of the warranty. The warranty company sent my refund ($1712.27) to the selling dealer (CarLux) to verify the well of the car then forward me the check. They stole my money. At first they insisted they never received a check. Then later changed their story assuring me the check was in the mail. It has been 2 months past and now answering my calls. I feel like I gave CarLux every opportunity to do the right thing. Now while waiting for small claims court, I will spend my energy warning others they may prey on.

They just try to get you invested in the process and then change the price on you in the end. I called regarding a vehicle listed for $20,995 online. There was no mention of additional fees, but most dealerships charge them, so I asked what they would be. First, I was told about $1,000. That changed to $1,405 when the salesperson's texted to me. Then when the invoice came (after I submitted all my information to them twice) the dealer fees totalled $3,503. When I called them out they lowered the total dealer fees to $2,978. Then he tried telling me that they would only be making $1,500 at that price... You know the scam... Just don't do business with these con-artists. We need truth-in-sales regulations to stop these shady car sales people and companies from wasting our time and scamming our friends and families at every chance they get.
