Cambridge at Moorestown, formerly the Lutheran Home, is no exception. We discovered this in 2025 after a family member experienced a traumatic injury requiring convalescing care. Welcoming staff? No one even acknowledged our arrival until 12 hours later. That meant no meals! The opulent ambiance and crystal chandeliers? Only there to lure your business. The attractive dietary menus? You'll take that tiny grey hot dog for your Sunday dinner and you'll damn well like it. Daily PT? Not in this lifetime. Clean sheets? Only if you complain loudly enough. Caring experienced nurses? Better get used to non-English speaking "assistants" assigned to ten patients at a time supervised by an invisible administrative nurse. The "Family Meeting" to address grievances involving abuse or lapses in care? Pre-scripted and choreographed to shut you down. Recommend you take a professional advocate along. In our case, we evacuated to another facility in the middle of the night after a non-English speaking "nurse" arrived with double the prescribed dosage of pain medication, putting our family member's life at risk. If you find yourself in need of serious post-hospitalization PT or convalescing care, this is not your best choice. Despite being a wealthy retirement community in one of the wealthiest towns in NJ, the medical convalescing wing at Cambridge is understaffed and very low end staffed with screen addicted unresponsive zombies. Pre-Covid levels of care seem no longer available at former standalone facilities like this. If you have good private insurance, stay way clear of this place if you care at all about your loved one. I regret Yelp has no zero stars option.

They…read moretalked about looking for an assisted living community were they could get the help they needed but also a facility that had a skilled nursing unit for those times when one of them needed a bit more care when needed. After visiting a few of the communities in the Moorestown Area they found that they really liked Brandywine because of the people that worked there treated them like family from the very first visit. Brandywine had everything they were looking for to live like they wanted. The daily schedule is full of activities, onsite services for beauty and healthcare were plentiful. The food is amazing with a great selection at every meal. My parents also like that they could still be independent by venturing out of the community almost everyday to grab a meal, go shopping, visit friends and attend church functions. Brandywine made this easy for them by providing a reserved parking spot close to the main entrance. If they were not able to drive they could arrange for the chauffer to take them to a Doctor appointment or other appointments. What really makes Brandywine great is the people that work there. They become part of the family and they treat the residents just like they are family. A few years ago my mother was diagnosed with cancer and it was determined that she would need hospice care. The hospice team and the Brandywine team worked together to make sure that my mother had everything she needed for her to live out the last few months of her life at her Brandywine home. The round the clock nursing staff was always making sure that my mother and father had everything they needed and kept my mother comfortable. When mom finally went home to be with the Lord, the Brandywine family came to the church to help celebrate her life and made sure that our family was aware that they would continue to care for my father like family. It is easy to see why I give Brandywine a 5 Star Rating. It is not only a great community but the people that they employ are the real reason for their success.

My husband and I moved my mom (Mercedes) into Brandywine in August of 2019 and everyone at Brandywine made mom feel so at home. She was very happy living at Brandywine and she built a lot of great relationships. But more importantly, several months after mom's move into the she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Mom was placed in their hospice program which was exceptional. The nurses, aides and management were so attentive and cared for her in such a loving way. She came in after being rushed back to the hospital for complications and her surgeon recommended rehab as a good in-between place before she was ready to go home again. It was the first time any of us could rest at night, knowing she was in good and caring hands. They let my dad sleep there with her every night and made the bed for him. They kept track of her pills, made sure her drains were taken care of, gave her encouragement and friendship. Power Back is new and very pretty. It feels clean and has a relaxed, country club vibe. Very knowledgeable about sports injuries and takes the time to explain everything in a way we both understand. I'm a huge fan of Novacare myself. I'm a patient, and I swear by them. So when my son needed physical therapy, it was a no-brainer to bring him here too. Even though he's only had a few sessions, he already feels comfortable, which is huge. Arden Courts of Cherry Hill did a fantastic job of taking care of my mother for a 4 years period…read morebetween 2019 and 2023. My mother had failed to adapt to another facility and Arden turned out to be the perfect place for her. During my time there I met many other families in similar situations where other facilities had been unable to "handle" their loved ones, but Arden always had the magic touch. From a day to day perspective the care was superb, the food was good and the activities were varied and covered a wide range of ability levels. Unlike other nearby "luxury" facilities, Arden focuses on what the residents actually need and not what looks nice to the families. The residents who are mobile have free run of the facility and access to outdoors weather permitting. Use of a resident's room are limited as much as possible to keep them engaged in social activities. The professional staff were all top notch, with the facility director and nursing staff worthy of particular praise for both their everyday professionalism and going above and beyond when needed. Also worthy of note is that Arden Courts avoids requiring costly additional 1-on-1 care and will only send residents to the hospital when absolutely necessary. If a resident does end up at the hospital, it is literally located across the street minimizing the need for transport. Arden Courts is currently under the umbrella of a non-profit so as far as I am aware there is no private equity firm behind the curtain pushing to drive down costs. The Cherry Hill facility in particular is also very supportive of family members with access to numerous eat in/cook out activities, parties and field trips. At the end of my mother's journey they offered ample time to wrap up her room and have an open door policy for said family members to return interact with any persons they may have bonded with. It reminded me I never really sent a thank you to the Staff. I cared for both of my parents for 10 years (their twilight years) in my home. They had many trips to the hospital which required them to have rehab prior to coming home. Never a question that our number one choice was Care One. In addition, when I took respite to travel with my family, my parents first choice over care at home was to go to Care One. The staff was kind, attentive, on top of my parents needs and as a caretaker I was at ease knowing my parents were at their home away from home.

Today I find our friend was rushed to Virtua Hospital with low BP and a Viral Infection. I called and asked for a person in charge. A very rude Woman picked up and when I told her they should have Quarantine it and closed it Visitors. She started hedging and said they fixed it. How dog fox a speeding Virus. Then when I questioned her about my Uncle. She said she knew nothing about that. His Caretaker has who has Cancer has called several times and has never gotten a straight answer. In Fact Physical Therapist called him this week and said he has make a decision by March 18 to remove him or put him in the Nursing Home there. Why the PT and not a Doctor or Social Worker. After this I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The staff was friendly and courteous. They treated me and my family just like family. The nurses are very professional and warm and personal, what ever I needed them to address, it was taken care of. They are very Veteran friendly and recognize my father for his 22 years of service in the United States Air Force. My father was happy and content there until his recent passing. Even though there was some minor issues as with any Health care facility...but their compassion and care for my father surpasses any of them....as a matter of fact, he was spoiled by the staff! Lol. Thank you Wynwwood center for all you've done to make my father living there a comfort to us all.
