I am writing to formally document and express my deep dissatisfaction with the care--or lack thereof--my child and I received at the CareNow Urgent Care clinic located at Ann and Simmons. This experience was not only disappointing, but unacceptable by any reasonable standard of medical professionalism, particularly where a minor patient is involved. My 11-year-old child was forced to wait nearly two hours to be seen, with no meaningful communication, explanation, or updates provided during that time. The clinic appeared clearly understaffed, yet no effort was made to manage patient expectations or show basic courtesy. Long waits can happen; complete silence and indifference should not. The conduct of Supreet Kaur, PA, was especially troubling. Her demeanor was callous, dismissive, and unprofessional. At no point did she demonstrate empathy, urgency, or accountability. In a healthcare setting--particularly urgent care--this lack of professionalism is both alarming and inappropriate. Equally concerning was the behavior of the front desk staff. After I calmly voiced a legitimate complaint regarding the excessive delay and lack of communication, the staff member at the counter appeared entirely indifferent. Most egregiously, I was threatened that my son would not be seen at all simply because I complained. Retaliating against a concerned parent--especially when the patient is a child--is wholly unacceptable and deeply unethical. No parent should ever feel intimidated or punished for advocating for their child's care. No patient should be subjected to hostility for asking reasonable questions about delays. And no medical facility should operate in a manner that suggests patient concerns are an inconvenience rather than a priority. This clinic demonstrated: Severe inefficiency Poor staffing and management A complete lack of professionalism Inadequate communication Disrespect toward patients and parents I strongly urge CareNow leadership to review the operations, staffing practices, and employee conduct at this location immediately. The experience we endured reflects poorly on the organization as a whole and raises serious concerns about patient care standards. I would not recommend this location to any family seeking timely, compassionate, or professional medical care. read more

First and foremost shoutout to the PA E. Kelleigh she was super nice, attentive, very compassionate like healthcare providers should be. We were taken care of properly by her. The lady at the front office though is very unprofessional, there's no compassion, care. She was on her phone while patients are waiting at the counter/front desk in front of her. I went in today as I fell, trip on a rug and ended up hurting my knee and my left arm badly. I was called back had a really hard time getting up as it was my right knee also hurt to put pressure on it. Got to the room, now the girl up front was amazing, the nurse was very nice. Explained what happen, the nurse left, then Nurse practitioner came in. Now I really wanted a. Dr. Was hoping Dr. Budge was there. So, I explained again what happened and the pain I was in. She looked at my knee then my left upper arm. Lot of pain. They have me a shot of toradal and then needed to take me back for X-rays. Now I was sitting in a low chair and it hurt like there wasn't going to be a tomorrow. Iened up turning and going on to the door jam to pull my self up. Now mind you the nurse practitioner was at the desk. I was in tears. Went back managed to get the X-rays done, a lot of pain. I walked back because trying to stand was unbearable. Nurse practitioner came in, said they x-rays were read, nothing broken or fractured. Just make bruised. Now I say okay now what, because I have a job that requires heavy lifting and being on my feet a lot. On a moving train. So she says to me well I can only put you off for 3 days. I said well this isn't going away anytime soon and I will need to see an orthopedic Dr. She says we'll you will need to see your Primary Doctor. I will need to get a referral because Desert orthopedic requires one even though my insurance doesn't say I need one. She leaves a lady came in and I had asked are they going to give me a sling for my arm? She goes it and the Nurse practitioner tells her where they are and then I hear her say, I took care of the insurance part. The nurse practitioner doesn't go over anything with me. Then, I get an email starting that I can go into the portal and look at everything. Glad I did as they have charged me 2 toradal shots which I had only one. I will be calling my in insurance company tomorrow. So I guess the only ones I liked were the nurse, the girl up front and the X-ray guy. read more

Deep dissatisfaction does not quite cover what I went through with CareNow billing. The office manager will pass off any complaint call to the front desk person instead of taking accountability. They put my bank card on file without my knowledge, then charged it without my consent. Gave me the run-a-round for the last year, before calling the money that was stolen from my account a "recurring charge". No one could figure out how to actually charge my insurance company correctly. Seriously, go ANYWHERE but here! read more

I took my son into the facility today because he wasn't feeling well and complained of his ear hurting. So I decided to take him here even though he didn't really want to go. My son is 18. And because he is 18 when it came time for him to go back to the exam room the medical assistant Elizebeth M. told me I wasn't allowed back only the patient is. Now when I explained to her that isn't right because you never even gave him the option to allow me back, AND I literally just watched an older couple leave from the room and walk out the building. She relied well that wasn't my patient. So it made me feel like the staff thinks they can arbitrarily decide who and when to let family back with the patient. (Which isn't right to treat people like that). The important thing for me is I wanted to ensure my son didn't down play how he felt and wanted to explain that he had a tube in his ear that recently got removed, he has been sleeping all day, esc. On top of the fact that although 18 he literally just turned 18, I am the insurance carrier on him, he lives with me, I paid his co-pay, and his father. And when I explained this to the Medical assistant she acted as if it's company policy not to let other family in the room with the patient. When I informed her I would like to make a complaint she explained to me that it's ok "I'll let my supervisor know too" she said it as if the supervisor wouldn't care and or would believe her over me. (Supervisors name is Jalisa). Overall I know I need to allow my son to be an adult and or begin to do adult things. But that isn't the point. They could have asked him. "Hey your 18, we are required to ask if it's ok for your dad to come back, and if he would have said no then I would have been ok with that BUT they didn't. They literally made the decision for him and he is still young enough to not say anything even if he did want me to go back with him and that's the part that frustrates me. Furthermore it seems like the medical assistant told the nurse practitioner of this whole debacle because then she came into the room and provide subpar service and acted like she was in a rush. (Although we've had her before and she wasn't very good then either, the doctor is way better). All in all it was a bad experience. read more

I looked online and see that I can make an appointment. Great. I made the reservation at 9:23AM. Tells me my appointment time was 10:26AM, okay. Kind of long but at least I can stay at home. I get the text to come down. I'm here 10 minutes before my scheduled time. Fill out the paperwork. I sit in the waiting room for over an hour before getting called back. Lady that takes me does my vitals and has me take a covid and flu test. Says the results would be ready in 10-15 minutes and that the doctor would be in shortly after that. I've been waiting in this room for 40 minutes now. I understand that they have to take emergencies first. There were none. Visited here because my lymph nodes were swollen. I'd been having sinus issues but that was because I'd been visiting my husband in a very dry hospital. What I was blowing out had no color so I don't believe I had a sinus infection. The doctor came in, heard I was having sinus issues and determined I had a sinus infection, without even looking in my nose. He sent me away with an antibiotic. Who knows what the actual issue was. I've had many sinus infections in my time but I've never had an issue with the lymph nodes toward the back of my neck being swollen. Beyond all of this, I paid the $75 copay while there. A month and a half later, my bank card was charged an additional $127 without any notice. I was never sent anything in the mail alerting me they were going to take the money. I'm grateful that I had the funds to cover it so I didn't incur an overdraft fee! This is poor service, I can't believe they do that to people. They are supposed to be helping not harming. read more

Brought my son in at 425 on a Saturday night with a 103.5 fever, sever headache and the skin on his back was painful to the touch. I checked in on their kiosk and attempted to complete the registration on my phone, but the photo of my ID would not upload. No one was at the front desk. I stood there for about five minutes and then I knocked on the door that goes back to the treatment area. A nurse came to the front and I told him that I needed assistance with my registration. He informed me that he could not help and the front desk staff was on lunch. He said to have a seat and they would be back in about 25 minutes. I was astonished. I asked if he didn't think that someone should be at the front desk at all times and he informs me that there was only one front desk staff on Saturday and they had to take their lunch before 5. There are never doctors at this location. We have made online appointments and took the time to input all of our information. They would schedule an appointment. Then, as we were driving to the location, they called and said that there were no doctors at the site. There are other locations nearby that DO have doctors. Visited 06/15 for a fever and over all body ache and fatigue. my appointment ran pretty smoothly. I initially tested negative for both Covid and flu. Dr. Magtoto was very attentive and informed me that it might be too early to detect the virus that's why the test result came back negative but I was told to call in case my situation gets worse. That same night I took 2 at at home Covid test and both came back positive. 2 days after, I called this Carenow because of the lingering chest pain from Covid 19. Asked the lady over the phone on what to do next and was told To come in to get re-evaluated. Came in shortly after and waited about 1.5 hours to be told of something I already knew (that I am Covid positive). and the doctor probably spent roughly 5 minutes with me and didn't even manage to put on the medication order for the one I needed for my chest pain. I hope your doctor won't be Ruben Peña, PA-C. Period. I asked,"so what do I need for my chest pain?" He said, "Nothing. Or maybe take Tylenol or Motrin." The Doctor /RN that cared for my wife, yesterday, insisted that there are no oral medications that treat Covid - 19 that are FDA approved. Therefore, he would not perscibe anything for treatment. My wife is a 50 year old asthmatic who was diagnosed positive for Covid. This information was, at best, ignorance and, at worst, negligence. From the HHS. Gov website : "Treatments for COVID-19 are now widely available. If you test positive and are an older adult or someone who is at high risk of getting very sick from COVID-19, treatment may be available. Contact a healthcare provider right away after a positive test to determine if you are eligible, even if your symptoms are mild right now. " Please DO NOT trust this facility for information... And definitely DO NOT let anyone you care for use thier practitioners for reliable treatment. read more

If I could I would give 0 stars I came to get a Ppd test and a physical, they took about 1 hour and a half just to get me in I paid for my physical and ppd and only got my ppd done. If you are familiar with ppd test you know you have to come for a skin read in 2 days. When I asked them about my physical they told me that they would do my physical the day I come for my reading. Two days later I came in at 12:00pm it was 1:30pm and they haven't called me it was just me and 2 more people. I came to the front desk and ask and they told me I was next in line, the next person they called was not me it was the lady! So unprofessional just be honest with the timing. I took a day off work after feeling crappy for over 2 weeks. I came in bright and early. The waiting room was spacious and clean. The employees that helped me during my visit were friendly and comforting. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. I felt my symptoms were addressed and within 2 days I was feeling better thanks to the prescription I was given. I rarely get sick, but this will be my go to quick care in the future. * They do have a call in system so that you can wait at home until they have an opening. That sounds like a good idea to help keep the waiting room free of unnecessary germs. read more

Caution! Make sure you ask plenty of questions before paying. They get 2 stars because they got me in pretty quick both times I was here and they are pretty nice. Less than 10 minutes waiting each time. The first time was for a pinched nerve in my chest. Got X-rays done talked to the doctor for a bit and was out within an hour. Then I went for a drug test as part of a hiring process for my new job which was quick and painless. While I was there for my drug test I asked about getting my ingrown toenail fixed. They said they can do it if it needs to be done. I told the receptionist that I know I have an ingrown toenail and it needs to be cut, so sure I will pay $180(I assumed that was for the procedure). I get back in to the doctor and she tells me that it's not that bad and I need to go to a podiatrist to get it lazered instead of her cutting it so she will refer me. I assumed this meant that since they didn't do the procedure I would be getting a partial refund. So I asked the receptionist at the front on my way out what the adjusted charge would be and she informed me that there was no sort of refund and that it was $180 for a 10 minute conversation with a doctor to tell me that I have an ingrown toenail and that I should get it taken care of(no s**t dude, that's why I am here). I was just trying to save some time since I was already there. I could have gone to the walk In podiatrist by my house and actually gotten it taken care of for roughly the same price. I feel cheated, but at the same time I guess I should have asked more questions. Where do I begin...First I was injured at work and drove here. I got out my limping and couldn't get onto the curb. While the front desk saw me limping they did not offer any support. When I got the back the charge nurse was rude and when I told her I was in pain she continued to put pressure on my ankle, smiled and said, " oh I'm so sorry." Then they wrapped my ankle and just told me leave. Uhm excuse I can't walk. I can't put pressure on my foot. Then they give me attitude because I asked for crutches but offered me an injection instead. Like who does that?! Horrible after care! It wasn't until I started demanding that I get crutches and not a damn injection was when things started to turn around. My wife and I are filing a complaint about the poor service she received from Nathaniel Magtot, NP at your CareNow Urgent Care on 3020 W Ann Rd., North Las Vegas, Nevada, 89031 at 1 pm on Saturday, 3/25/23. We went to your clinic because she had severe pain in her right knee and wanted an X-ray. The NP was dismissive, did not ask any questions, and without examining her knee said it was arthritis and denied an X-ray. He recommended Tylenol, RICE, and OTC Voltaren Gel and to follow up with her Primary Care Physician if necessary. The pain persisted so we contacted our Primary Care Physician. He saw us quickly, listened to her, examined her knee thoroughly, felt swelling, found that pressure caused pain, and ordered an immediate X-ray, and when it showed fluid, ordered an MRI. The X-ray "IMPRESSION: 1. Mild right knee medial and patellofemoral compartment osteoarthrosis. 2. Small right knee joint effusion." The MRI "IMPRESSION: 1. Horizontal tearing of the body and posterior horn of the medial meniscus. 2. Horizontal tearing of the body of the lateral meniscus. 3. Bone infarct in the distal femur." These are serious issues that require serious treatment. She is in constant pain, she has limited mobility, she can't drive, and she has difficulty sleeping. She started Physical Therapy and is scheduled to see an Orthopedic Surgeon. The NP should not have dismissed her pain. He should not have jumped to the conclusion that it was arthritis. He should have examined her knee and ordered an X-ray. We will never go to a CareNow Clinic again. read more
