Their personalities were Kind, caring and pleasant. The Dr. I saw was super pleasant, and very helpful, no complaints. I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Robeniol Shell at CareNow Frisco. The front desk staff and the medical assistant who took my vitals were great and very kind. Dr. Shell came in rushed, did not let me fully explain my situation, and I am taking a holistic route and did not want medication. I only needed a doctor's note, yet she continued pushing prescriptions. When I mentioned my fever had gone back down, she made a dismissive comment implying my holistic approach didn't work. I was in the middle of explaining myself when she walked out of the room, said "Happy New Year," and left. I understand it was New Year's Eve and everyone wanted to go home, but that does not excuse making a patient feel rushed, unheard, and dismissed. read more

Absolutely the worst care I've ever received. I went in on Monday after being sick all weekend--coughing up phlegm, miserable, and clearly dealing with more than just a minor illness. I was diagnosed with an acute upper respiratory infection, and Dr. Massenburg told me to just go home and take Mucinex. I followed the instructions, but my symptoms got worse. By Wednesday, I was coughing up thick green mucus and feeling even more awful. I called the office twice that day requesting an antibiotic--no one ever called me back. I called again Thursday morning and was told his notes said I needed to come in for a recheck. Why on earth would I need to come back in when it's obvious I have a sinus infection and feel terrible? This is the exact same reason I stopped going to this location years ago. I decided to give them another chance because I was desperate--but clearly nothing has changed. the facility has no idea what they are doing. We visited them 11/29. We were told they are not accepting our insurance and had to a choice to muse them or go somewhere else. We agreed to go somewhere else. We didn't go past the front desk and didn't see the doctor. So far I got three bills. One just yesterday. For the last two I called them and they agreed I shouldn't be bled and advised me to ignore the bill and they will be putting a note to reverse the bill. There should be No Star option on Yelp because this is what CareNow on Preston Rd in Prosper deserves. I have taken my kids here before & although the other times, wait was around an hour to an hour and a half, they were somewhat bearable and on the other visits, there were more patients in the waiting room. This time, two hours is just completely unacceptable for an "urgent" visit. Scheduled two appts and filled out all necessary info for registration online at 5pm. Received text messages that my kids will be seen at 5:28pm & the other at 5:40. I know that these times are just estimates bc more urgent issues could come up with other patients, but there were only three other people there. Drove down to CareNow and was there by 5:04pm. Both kids didn't get called in for Triage until 6:25pm and provider didn't enter the room until 6:38pm. He suggested doing a COVID test for my daughter but it was going to take longer so I told provider we had tests at home. Left the "Urgent Care" at 6:59pm. There was nothing treated as urgent at this place. Both kids wanted to just get home and rest. It was a waste of two hours I will never get back! If your kids don't feel well, take them to other urgent care clinics in the area because this CareNow on Preston Rd in Prosper IS NOT IT! read more

I have used this location for over a decade when in need of urgent medical care, however clearly something has changed. I visited with what appears to be the onset of a sinus infection on yesterday. I checked in online and still waited over two hours in the clinic after being called and told to come in. After being taken to the back I waited another 30 mins. The doctor, Ming Bi, was not in the room for 5 mins and told me that I just needed some Flonase. When I advised that my issue requires more than that she became snappy. I have been up all night, and now feel absolutely horrible. I am on my way to the actual ER and files a report of malpractice with the Texas Medical Board. I will NEVER return to a CareNow and will ensure that none of my friends and family do either! read more

The doctors at Care Frisco, Preston Road are excellent. The wait time however is unacceptable. Think twice about this urgent care facility. I have had to wait for over 1.5 hours for every visit from March to October. Today I asked to be called prior to coming to the facility but they said to come right over. I understand triage, what is difficult to understand are the same apologies. Went to Care now on Preston in Frisco after I Cut my thumb on glass. They stitched up cut. After a few weeks the area was still swollen and painful. I went back They looked at it and said there is no glass in there and it's just healing. After a few more weeks it was more swollen and painful. I went to a different doctor who pulled out a large piece of glass. I asked care now for a refund for what I paid on my second visit since they basically were wrong which cost me several weeks of pain and more Dr bills. The worst is they lied to me - they out and out lied. I've been a CareNow customer for years, even taking my kids there a few times. I went in before the holidays to have a cyst drained that was bothering me. The first doctor, he seemed great. Took care of it, bandaged it. He was kind. He was QUITE insistent that I needed a wound check the next day - pressed on me how important it was. Told me when to come in so he could check it himself and made the appointment for me. I showed up for the appointment, and he wasn't there. They said it'd be charged as a full visit. I said no. Dr said just a quick wound check, no big deal. I wasn't paying $180 as I'm not stupid, I can tell it's fine. I'm leaving. Some office manager comes up, points to something on the screen, and the lady at the desk said, "Oh. Ok. You don't owe anything," with a big smile. Yep, 2 weeks later I get a full bill. So if they say "come back" or "There's no charge" don't believe them. $180 to have someone look at say "Yep.. not infected." To make it worse, the bandage they used started burning a 2-3 hours later. I took it off immediately, and I STILL have scarring from the adhesive 2 months later. I'm never going back to CareNow, and if you insist on it, I recommend you avoid this location like the plague. read more

At least MediCredit doesn't hit my credit, and am happy to pay the $21 balance immediately - plus side is CareNow at least loses a portion by using that collection company. Terrible experiences every time and will gladly be bringing my daughter to Texas Health Breeze right down the road. Firstly, I really like being able to register and check in online. That said... everyone from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the doctor were kind, competent, knowledgable, and showed genuine concern for my health. I came in with second degree burns and when the receptionist saw them, she quickly and calmly asked the nurse that I be triaged. I really appreciated that. Both the nurse and the doctor were as gentle as possible during my evaluation and treatment to ensure my comfort. I left feeling relieved that I had received excellent care and had a plan to follow while I wait for my doctor's office to open on Monday. Not only did they take care of my physical discomfort, but they eased my mind as well. While I hope I'll not need the services of urgent care again, if I do, I know where I'm going. read more

Our entire medical system is a joke and half of it are these shady urgent care clinics w special connections to big hospitals. Story - Dr says my dad needs a heart test done, but needs a Covid PCR test 2 days beforehand. Dr says hospital will coordinate and tell me where to go the day beforehand. Appt scheduled for this Weds at 6am. I even flew back because part of the reason was to be here for parents on this medical procedure. - Me: never heard back on Friday about Covid testing location/time - Me: calls Dr on Monday. Front desk sees notes from hospital saying to go to one of the chain store shit-tastic urgent care clinics called CareNow - Parents: goes to CareNow and was told it's a 6 hour wait for a test - Me: calls Dr again, wondering why we're being sent to wait 6 hrs for a test. - Dr office: oh they should just run a test quickly. Told me to call another nearby CareNow - CareNow (ironic name): you need a requisition from hospital or else you won't get Covid test results back in 2 days. We would send to Labcorp and not test in house without req. - Me: calls doctor to reiterate. Dr says they'll call hospital to check and get back to me end of day. It's already 2pm and dr office closes at 4pm. - CareNow calls to say they're ready for my dad (6 hours later): I ask to confirm if they received req and if they can get test results in 48 hours. This woman proceeds to talk down to me and said it's impossible as lab results are sent out. I explained my situation, she won't listen and keeps interrupting and literally said WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO HAVE AN INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION. - Me: so can you get results in 24-48 hours or not? You keep saying maybe, you don't know, you need to see the requisition. Either you can or you can't. Is it even physically possible? - CareNow: LOUDLY SIGHS. My director is right here saying we have to take at least 2 days but up to 4 days. - Me: getting test result done in house takes up to 4 days? - CareNow: it depends on what the req says Wow... I'm the only one out of Medical City, CareNow and a cardiology office able to understand how this shitty system works and I don't work in healthcare. Who is the one unable to speak intelligently? To be clear: both medical city Dallas messed up for not sending the req but it seems like it also wouldn't have mattered because 2 days is MINIMUM wait time for Covid test result. read more

So first I'd like to say, the doctors here are GREAT. They care. They spend a lot of time with the orients. I've been here twice and have been very happy with the doctors and their personal level approach. However, I recent went in for a covid test. The nurse who gave the covid test was super nice. It was my first covid test. However, she jammed it into my nose and I heard a crack. My nose gushed blood. It's been two hours and it's still bleed although now, it's lightly bleeding. My most really hurts. My spouse has had four covid tests (work related) and when she did his, he was surprised at at rough she was as well. His nose did not bleed but he was still surprised at her toughness. Both our tests were negative thankfully. She seriously needs a refresher course on how to administer the test. She's not gentle or caring while administering the test. My daughter had a covid test yesterday at another facility (hers was positive) and she has LESS of a reaction than I or my spouse. Again, he's had four tests and he was even taken back. I will continue to go here in the future but I will NEVER go here again for a covid test. They get a minus 10 for it. read more

I scheduled my appointment via online at 3 AM, for an 8 AM time slot (when they opened). I received a phone call about 15 minutes before my appointment with a code to pre-fill the necessary paperwork information online. When I showed up to the clinic, I still had to wait 25 minutes in my car before they invited me into the clinic. I filled out additional paperwork, with some of the information I had already submitted online. When I was taken back to the room, the table did not have paper on it. Paper was added to the table after I had already sat down. After an additional 10 minutes, I saw the doctor for my ailment. Watch your step if leaving by the exit in the back! I tripped and almost fell on the odd step-up from the back door. :-/ Amanda (web check-in) and Dr. Shelley Robeniol was helpful and had friendly dispositions. I checked in to be examined for the flu at 1230pm and she put me on the waiting list and told me I could wait at home til I was going to be seen at 4. She had an amazing personality and a nice smile on her face. Max was quick to get my vitals, height and weight and was such a pleasure to talk to. Doctor Lum was so thorough and sincere and I was blown away by the service here (given the circumstances being sick). I've been here once before and had a decent experience. A specialist ordered blood work for my family to have done. I called on Thursday to inquire about having the blood tests done, we are new to the area and don't have a GP yet. After a 20 minute phone call, I spoke with a nurse (who spoke to the manager) who confirmed they were able to do the tests and she went through the process of how they would be done, and how to set up an appointment. She said she added all of this to a file they could reference at the appointment if needed. I scheduled the appointment for Saturday at 12. We showed up on time to have our tests done. No one seemed to know what we were there for and we had to explain it several times. They planned a COVID meeting during our appointment time and we had to wait over an hour for them to finish. When we were finally called back for the labs, they thought we were there to have Covid tests done. After more confusion, the lab tech said he had never heard of the tests we needed and he couldn't do them. His only comments were that it was a walk-in clinic and they don't do lab work, and that we needed to be at a GI doctor. My GI doctor wrote the orders to have them tested at a GP. The tests were a celiac panel, a Covid antibody test and a flu shot... It was a waste of over 2 hours of our time. I would give them 0 stars if it was an option. read more

Made an appointment for my son. Lady at the front desk called to confirm I could tell there was a little attitude in her voice then. Arrived at the clinics front desk after receiving a text to come inside. It took the receptionist a sec to even acknowledge me. She asked if I had a copay with my insurance in my head I thought they could tell that from running my insurance. This was not my first time here by the way. My insurance was stored in the system. I told her I had a $20 copay she says for urgent care are you sure I said yes she say well if there's a left over balance we'll send a statement with an attitude I'm like ok. They called my son to the back I told my 11 year old daughter to wait in the lobby we'll be back because I wasn't sure if she was allowed to go back with us. The lady say sir you need to take her with you I'm like ok. In my head the polite and professional way to address the situation would have been sir she can go back with you or it fine to take her back with you. She addressed me with attitude and aggression. I walked into carenow after checking in online and after waiting for over an hour i told the person at the front desk that i could no longer wait and that i had to leave. A week later i was billed $205 just for waiting in the waiting room. After 4 calls to carenow to resolve this matter and another bill of $205 i am still fighting tooth and nail to get this bill resolved. They keep saying it is under review. What is there to review when no medical services have been provided to me? If they have done this to me i can't imagine how many people they have done this to. read more

Caleb at the front desk and Mitch who did my intake were both 5 stars. However, that "doctor" (I can't remember his name) was not only rude but incompetent. I went in for a an embedded earring. He asked me how I normally got the earring out...first red flag. I encouraged him to look at my other ear to compare since he wasn't aware of how earrings work. Then he asked me what I wanted him to do. Obviously, remove the foreign body from inside my earlobe. He comes back with the tray of items needed to conduct the procedure and he looked nervous, which obviously made me nervous. I asked him if he felt confident and he said "well, what else are we going to do?" I told him that if his medical opinion was for me to see a dermatologist or a surgeon, I wanted the best care for my ear. After all, it's attached to my face...pretty important. He proceeded to say "if you need a dermatologist or surgeon you're in the wrong place." Then I told him I really didn't like how he was speaking to me. He responded, "I mean, I can do it." No thanks. You don't feel confident in yourself, so why should I? The professional and intelligent thing for him would have been to give me his medical opinion on a referral. I went to a hospital where I knew I'd receive quality medical care. I'll be asking for a refund for the $50 I paid to be insulted during amateur hour at this CareNow. read more

CareNow has been my go to urgent care facility until NOW. The services provided at this particular facility were appalling. The front desk staff was extremely unprofessional and unrepresentative of the medical field. My daughter took her medication as prescribed but her high fever persisted after the 48 hr window. I called in to speak to a nurse and didn't get a call back. We also tried to get the results of the tests within the time given and were told they were not in yet. We drove back to the facility, to discover that they did have the results and according to the paper work, the results had been sitting in the office for a couple of days. This is unacceptable. When we walked in to speak to someone about the results, the young girl at the counter did not look like she knew what she was talking about and dismissed us like we were burdening her. She seemed a bit overwhelmed, although the waiting room only had one other patient. Working at a medical facility is not like working at a burger joint, where you can just roll your eyes as you take an order! If you choose to work at a medical facility, you'll need to understand you are dealing with people's lives. A fever is not something to play with and it needs to be attended. Thankfully, my daughter will be fine, but I will never step into that facility again and I hope none of my friends/family ever do either. I don't trust they will receive the best attention and illnesses are not to be taken lightly. read more

I've been using the Preston Rd location in Frisco for years for my primary care needs. After multiple experiences, I wanted to write a review. The check in process has improved and is all on-line before you get to the facility. No more forms to fill out, which the medical field needed to adopt years ago. I select a time to come in, they call me when they're ready and I don't have to wait long in the waiting room. Another improvement. I've seen several physicans there, but Dr. Robeniol has seen me the last couple of years. She is an excellent and thorough physician, answers every question patiently and has actually read my file before the exam and knows my history. Plus, she is a very sweet and caring person, so I could not recommend her or this location more highly. Thanks for the great care! read more

Avoid this place for pre-screening .. came w a referral from my new job and need urine sample, which they didn't tell me, and went to the restroom then.. I have drink water and the only water they have is the nasty water fountain, are you kidding me? Now I have to wait till I need to go.. !!! The lab technician is very rude and demand my social , I'm sure she can submit my result without it! So now I'm waiting , they should be provide w water bottles for patients w urine samples... or warn them not to go to the restroom before seeing the lab technician! read more

I did the pre check in online and completed the requested paperwork and submitted my insurance. Upon arrival, staff completely incompetent. Couldn't locate paperwork then decided they accept my insurance but only if it is employer based, not self employed which I am. The online system specifically asked if I was self employed. I offered to self pay at time of service out of pocket. The uneducated front office clerk, who is not a nurse or physician started diagnosing the costs which would be incurred. I should have paid for the physician visit and then been informed by the physician of additional tests/costs which would be required. I left and will never go back. FYI, they have no onsite labs and no lab tech onsite. Their self pay rate is the same rate as a fully staffed emergency room. Poorly run facility. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! Neither are they knowledgeable, nor do they have empathy or the right attitude. My experience was painful. My son had fallen at school and had an elbow injury. Took him to carenow to get it checked. The wait was not as bad. They took the x-rays and the physician assistant (Jade), said the bone was broken and moved ahead to do the splint on his arm. The radiologist had not read the report by then and when i asked her, she said that she was 100% sure it was a broken bone. I had a hard time believing that since he had full range of motion (almost), had no swelling. But she said with such conviction and let her go ahead. Later the radiologist report came in as "no broken bones" and what she considered as "fracture" was just a growth plate. But they said you should still treat it as fracture until the Ortho has had a chance to check it out. Then their X-ray machine was broken and they said they would send those to another carenow for me to pick it up. They said I can go right away and pick it up. So i went to the one on Spring Creek and Coit only to be looked at like an alien form another planet speaking gibberish!! Seriously the attitude of the front office staff at that location was terrible. She literally laughed at me (don't know her name but she had really long hair) and was just chatting over the phone than attending to the issue. After waiting there for more than half hour i got no response. An hour later I got a call to pick it up from another location. i showed the X-rays to a friend of mine who is a physio and she said it is just a growth plate and definitely not a broken bone. The Ortho concluded the same and he is now out of the splint. So in this experience: 1. We never got to see the physician - only his/her assistant. I still paid $175 just for the visit and more for other items. 2. The diagnosis that is so obvious to others was somehow not at all obvious to the assistant on duty - not sure why 3. When the ortho looked at the splint wrapping he asked "did you just do it yourself or did you go to a Dr?" That's how horribly it was done. 4. The staff had no idea on what can and cannot be done at either location - this one and springcreek/coit. So I had to drive to different locations and the attitude at each (except at Allen) was just HORRIBLE!! Overall - STAY AWAY!!!! read more
