I used this company for about 4 years for cleaning condo in between rentals in Ocean City. They always did a good job. This last time when I entered condo I noticed that it wasn't cleaned at all -- there wasn't even an attempt at cleaning -- it was just not done. When Luis billed me for last cleaning, I told him it was not cleaned at all -- he insisted it was -- though I do not know how he can claim that when he wasn't even here. So either his people are lying to him or he's trying to scam me! I owed him money for a cleaning before the last one so I usually pay on line with my debit card. I paid for one cleaning but when I checked my account t it was put through twice! The lady at the bank told me that once you give someone your debit card number, they can run it through for whatever they wish. I had no idea! Lesson learned. Although they did a good job in cleaning, they did $6000 In damage when one of their employees dropped a cup of coffee on our carpet. It took me over a YEAR to track down their insurance company. They eventually paid the claim but it took a lot of negotiations with the insurance company. If you do higher them ask for a Certificate of insurance to save yourself a lot of aggravation if they do damage to your property. read more

I was very impressed that they could fit us in last minute. We had specific time constraints as we were moving out of our rental home. Careclean Cleaning Services lacks adequate communication. As I'm navigating through Washington DC on I95 (and do not have time to stop) I get a text from Luis saying that the cleaning crew is at my home and no one is there, "there is no money" and "if I don't hear from you in 5 minutes we will leave." They were 3 hours early. And the check was taped to the fridge. Then I get four pictures of our zoomed in problem areas (such as where the movers had moved our bed and cabinet, dirty stove, etc.). Our house was not in bad shape at all, but yes it did need to be cleaned. Again I'm driving. I thought I was paying these people to take care of it. Anxiety poured into my mind as we had put our trust in them. He demanded more money (which was fine) I just wanted it taken care of! After all of this, the cleaning job was very average. They did not pay attention to details and no walls were touched. My landlord is probably still going to want to hire a cleaning person. If you want to pay someone $160 to do basic things that you can do yourself like dust and mop, and be harassed with miscommunications, this is your place. read more

Careclean was hired through Angie's List. I paid Angie's list the $199. fee. Careclean did not call back until well after the dates I provided were passed and I was away on vacation. I gave them another date. They did not show up. Angie's list paid them. After being paid, they made no attempt to provide the service I paid for. Angie's list takes a hit for this, too because they did nothing to remedy the situation or return my fee. read more

I believe Luis is the name of the owner. No wonder he would give 5 stars. First visit the cleaning girls had left all the stuff out of the place which resulted in broken photo frame, out of place TV, sofa and bunch of little things. Hair and dry liquid drops left on hardwood floors. Second visit, they broke my Dyson vacuum cleaner. They could have asked me if they didn't know how to use it. I was right there. Also one of the girls gave me an attitude that I should have only talked to her about what I needed done since the others didn't understand English(even though they say yes yes and ok when you talk) and that's why things weren't done the way I asked. Now that is something the Owner should have told me that they can't understand English. The shower in master bedroom was still dirty after the girl spent 40 minutes and then the second girl spend extra half an hour recleaning this all while they are on two hour dead line. Worse part is the owner doesn't care to even respond. The owner had told be he can get my foyer cob webs clean when he came to give estimate but later admitted he doesn't have proper tools for that kind of job. read more
