The office is beautiful and clean and I like that they don't have that horrendous barrier window that makes you feel as you are bothering the staff just to sign in. The office has coffee, juices and applesauce (good thinking for diabetic patients) available for consumption. My father met Dr Sondra Aikens who will be his new primary care doctor now that he is 65. His bedside manner is outstanding. He sat eye level with my dad and had patience with my dad's responses to his questions( my dad is forgetful and slow to respond). He even made some funny jokes along the way. He was very throughout in his assessment and explaining the plan of care with my dad and my self. All of the staff especially Katherine were exceptionally pleasant and made sure the follow up and instructions were understood. I am so grateful this will be my dad's new primary care physician. Today I went to Dr. G's for a wellness exam and Pap smear as listed on their services. But it was…read morethe worst experience in my life at a doctors office. First of all the entire staff seemed to be poorly trained. While I understand everyone needs to start somewhere it was terrible. First off I had to pay for everything before hand so the only reason I went through with it all was because I paid $585 due to no insurance. I needed it done and figured this was the place since I could do it all. I was told to leave a urine sample and when I went into the bathroom I noticed their "cleaning log" by the bathroom door was last listed as checked in 2024. First red flag. Then I proceeded to the room where they came in to draw blood. The man stuck me and missed my vein, again he seemed like a student so I tried to understand but he continued to stick me with the same needle and moved it around my arm trying to get the vein, he got a new needle and proceeded to stick the same arm even though I told him to please try the other arm. I advocated for myself once he missed again that I needed the other arm as I was now in pain. He tried the other arm and succeeded but now I was just over it. Second red flag. The thing that sent me over the top was the Pap smear. Again at this point I have to go through with it because I already paid. The rooms bed was broken and unable to raise so they needed to move me to another room. The medical assistant asked me to move rooms with only the gown covering me. I again advocated for myself as I did not feel comfortable to do so and put on my pants to walk to the next room. Then comes the actual Pap smear once in the correct room... the "Doctor" said lubricants effect the results and insisted on putting warm water on the instrument used to perform the Pap smear, so she began running it under the sink. I mentioned they always use lubricants at the gynecologist because I was afraid it would hurt without it. She said "maybe just a little" so she put a little on and inserted it which indeed hurt very very much leaving me feeling very uncomfortable both physical and emotionally. She did not have the swab on hand so she left me open for what seemed like an eternity while she grabbed the swab and the little jar to put the specimen. After all was done, I didn't even get a conversation with the "doctor" they performed the vitals, blood, Pap smear but never even asked me about family history, or anything in regards to a wellness check. 0/10 would recommend but I did not get that option and needed to put one star.

Someone calls back more than 24 hours later, then tells me a urine analysis was never ordered, and they can't use my urine sample as it's too old now. Dr. G's refused to give me a refund. Also, the doctor promised to prescribed me a higher-strength med than the OTC one I was taking, only for me to find out after paying that the drug is exactly the same strength as my OTC one! When it comes to doing our blood work, they took two attempts to get the needle in me. I had blood work done by my last doctor and never had any issues. Unfortunately, my wife was not so lucky. They must have stuck needles in my wife's hands and arms in 6 different spots and still couldn't manage to draw any blood out. We ended up getting the blood work done at Quest near our house. We also had some other tests done but they never call us back with the results. A few days later I got mine back but they couldn't find my wife's. And .... when it comes to doing our blood work, they took six attempts to get my blood !!! 3 assistants ( not sure if they are nurses ) must have stuck needles in my hands and arms in 6 different spots and still couldn't manage to draw any blood out.  We ended up getting the blood work done at Quest near our house. But it comes to getting our results back from our test, it was very disappointing. My husband and I did the same test at the same time, but my husband got the result back after 2 weeks and I was told they can't locate my result. After repeated call back and forth, I finally got my results back 2 additional weeks with no explanations. Can you imagine if the test was a very important test and the result could be life and death? Their back office was totally unorganized and unprofessional and for that, My husband and I will NOT be going back.
