While your secretary (nurse? Sorry, I wasn't sure on her credentials) and resident were absolutely gracious, respectful, and kind, I do not intend to pursue care with a doctor who repeatedly violated my boundaries, disrespected my lived experience, and demonstrated ignorance regarding many well-accepted concepts and diagnoses in the medical field. Since you evidently do not understand the nature of trauma or mental distress, allow me to enlighten you. Your aggressive and unprofessional approach triggered me. Unfortunately, you are not the first ignorant doctor I have encountered who has made me feel small and scared and objectified. In this case, those feelings caused me to mentally shut down and lose the ability to properly communicate just how hurtful and inappropriate your questions and comments were to me in the moment. Please allow me some time to express those feelings now. Firstly, you spent an unusually long amount of my appointment discussing your own life experience, so allow me to share a bit of my own. I am a direct descendant of Eastern European immigrants, a direct descendant of people who were victimized by violent antisemitism, and a Jewish historian. Your utter lack of awareness regarding the nature of intergenerational trauma is quite shocking. Telling me that I shouldn't be depressed or anxious because at least I'm not in a cattle car to Auschwitz or being barred from education in Afghanistan was cruel and disrespectful, both to the people who have experienced those things, and to me. Furthermore, when I verbally expressed that I found this line of communication hurtful and unproductive, you nevertheless persisted in violating my clearly stated boundary a few more times before the end of my visit. Additionally, when I informed you that I had recently gained a significant amount of weight due to a battle with a lifelong eating disorder, you not only calculated my BMI (a widely debunked methodology) and informed that I was obese, but also asked why I was fat and anxious if my boyfriend is calm and in better shape. I'm not even sure which of the myriad of potential offensive things you were attempting to imply there, but they all reveal an embarrassing cluelessness regarding basic eating disorder and mental healthcare best practices, as well as a deficit of simple human kindness. To be clear, I understand that weight is a potentially relevant factor when discussing heart health and I was prepared to have that conversation in a reasonable and measured way. What I could not abide, however, were your callous and, frankly, incorrect comments about a subject which I clearly expressed was difficult and painful for me. I respect your life experience and the things you have suffered but your success does not negate anyone else's trauma, nor does it have anything to do with my health. I urge you to educate yourself. If that is too much to ask, then at very least I advise you to simply keep your mouth shut next time anyone mentions mental health to you. You are literally causing more harm than good.

When I first came to see him with symptoms he performed an angiogram on my main artery, and fortunately decided not to proceed with a stent because he felt my condition was not serious enough to warrant it (a short time after this a major medical study cast doubt on the efficacy of stents in many cases and recommended not using stents except in extreme or emergency cases of arterial blockage). He is a very thorough doctor and has put me on a good set of prescription drugs and regular annual tests. He is also a very nice person.

I could hear him pulling into the parking lot of a MedSTAR location, and a helicopter landing in the background. Dr. Lager explained to me what happened. Dr. logger told me that because everything else looks good and because the surgery was so close, he was able to clear me. He told me he certainly could do the stress test with the surgery postponed. He told me he apologized and I was not told that I did not need to come in today. because he reached out to me. I am happy to give them their four star reading back. I am very concerned about the fact that I came in and was not told I did not need to come in. I am also concerned about the issues with the fax. But considering that cardiologists kind of do a lot for us, I think I should be lenient. Let me reiterate, I am still not happy, but their fax machine not working and all the hoops that I had to jump through to get them to receive a fax.

I had been having chronic pain down both my arms for years, which no PT or OT had ever been able to correctly diagnose or treat. Kerry told me during our first session that my pain should clear up in about two months after our sessions + an at-home strengthening and stretching regimen she provided and added to weekly. I honestly didn't believe that something that had caused me so much pain for so long could be treated so quickly. And sure enough, after about two months of weekly sessions, that shooting pain I had was getting better and eventually went away. Two other things were key: being diligent about performing the at-home exercises that Kerry provided and my continued attention to my posture and habits at my workstation - both of which Kerry reinforced the importance of during our sessions. I really can't say enough good things about Kerry. Besides the fact that she treated my pain, for which I'll be forever grateful, she's a very good listener, treats her patients with respect and is incredibly knowledgeable in her field. Her practice doesn't accept insurance, but the money I spent on my PT sessions was money very well spent given the outcome. Kerry's expertise is worth every penny and more. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Dr. Ginn and everyone else who works with her have always been kind, patient, and thoughtful. I also appreciate how Dr. Ginn grows the careers of those who work with her. This doctor's office is the only one where I feel like everyone remembers who I am (whether I call or come in), which is a testament to Dr. Ginn's leadership and vision for her office. Dr. Ginn listens to her patients well. I was adamant that I didn't want to take oral medication. Later, when I wanted to be off all antibiotics, including topical ones, she found a way to make that work. I am so grateful that I found Dr. Ginn. I have never been one to wear makeup and I get many compliments on my complexion. Three important notes: 1) The products are pricey. Two people I know initially recommended Dr. Ginn to me and their skin was radiant. They told me that Dr. Ginn's methods were more expensive than traditional dermatologists. Still, on my initial visit, I had sticker shock. Dr. Ginn recommended a lot of products to me, which she sells. I told her I would think about it and come back to purchase. I looked online and found that the products were similarly priced so I went back to Dr. Ginn and purchased; I haven't questioned her since. The products are expensive but they last a long time. I think about it like I'm investing in my skin's future, especially now that she's moved me onto a lot of anti-aging concoctions. 2) If you are coming to Dr. Ginn for skin care, as I do, and have trouble following regimens or want to use all of your own products, then Dr. Ginn probably isn't for you. My full regimen takes about five minutes each morning and night, and it involves 7-10 different products. 3) I have always had to wait about 10 minutes for my appointment even when I arrive a few minutes early. If you are prepared to wait and do not have to be somewhere right after your appointment then you will do well with Dr. Ginn. The upside to the waiting is that I have never felt rushed before, during, or after my appointments. The vibe of the office is very relaxing and serene.
