This is such a niche shop that it doesn't really matter that it's tucked right back out of the way in Castle Arcade, up a hidden flight of stairs to a balcony section you may not have realised even existed.
Only the most dedicated of patrons will take the trouble to find it. But once you do, this little shop provides an excellent, warm, friendly and proffesional service, which comes highly recommended be everyone Ive ever spoken to about it.
I used to be part of an orchestra, and once dropped my violin, sending it crashing ot the ground, in that lovely peaceful moment as a piece of music came to an end. My bridge was snapped in two and strings were flying everywhere. In retrospect, it could have been a lot worse, but at the time it was a tragedy of grand proportions.
Approximately ten minutes in Cardiff Violins though, and I came out fully informed with a set of new everything (very reasonably priced, I might add). Best of all though, I even felt confident that I could fix the problem on my own after careful instructions, and did so easily. read more
