The dining room is full of stuff from bygone years to look at and admire. Fun yes, but there's good food too! My Gyro with Lamb/Beef was delicious!! (See pic.) I had some extra time so I asked for a piece of their homemade baklava. Wow! Fantastic! What I loved was that it wasn't just honey-sweet, but it was flavorful. Their nut/seed mixture was a pleasant alternative to the classic pistachio filling. I didn't know I needed this until I tried it. Now I'm worried that from here on regular pistachio baklava is going to be missing "something." This family-owned, landmark restaurant is a new favorite for me. The service was exceptional. Really. Friendly, very attentive, and quick. (I've paid more at pretentious restaurants with service that wasn't half as good as it is here.) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Apple Mountain can always be counted on to host wonderful events…read more I have been to weddings, fundraisers, and Holiday buffets. One of my favorites is the Holiday buffets. We had attended Thanksgiving dinner several years in a row due to my birthday landing on TD every 4 years and I was boycotting cooking!! Then, my FIL had knee surgery, my husbands grandmothers eyesight was getting worse - so I relented to cooking.... my husband and I decided my son should have the "homey" memories of TD.... then when we told him we weren't going to the Apple Mountain buffet, we were having dinner at the house he was SO disappointed - he LOVES the giant chocolate fountain for desert!! I borrowed a small one from a friend to make everyone happy. Well, guess what my birthday lands on TD again this year - and Apple Mountain here we come!!
