The food wasn't cheap (~300 sek for the non-pizza dishes) but they were quite filling and good. I got the char, which came with vegetables and a lot of mashed potatoes. The fish was cooked well and the bearnaise was very tasty! Others at my table got some other dishes: the Caesar salad chicken was a bit dry and too dressed, which wasn't great. The lamb was well cooked and had a nice wine sauce. The Camembert went well with the cloudberry jam, and was interesting paired with the ice cream. The cheesecake was phenomenal - not too rich, contrasted with tart fruit and sweet dulce de leche.

We shared the tomato salad as a starter which was just perfectly balanced in its flavours in between the sweetness of the cherry tomatoes and the mild saltiness of the cheese. I later had the fish was light and extremely well tasting whereas my girlfriend tried the farmer's pizza, minus the honey. And I must say, even though the fish was great, the pizza was probably the winner of the dinner. And I do think it was the right move removing the honey, it was sweet enough without it. Service is really friendly and they love to stop and talk with customers, and some people might find that intrusive, so don't be afraid to tell them you want a moment of privacy. It was a little pricy but for a splurge, it's a great place. Would love to come back and check out some of the live jazz they have playing on the weekends!

The place is located in one of the older, rebuilt nightclubs of Östersund and it's a nice rustic interior design that's really inviting. Greeted by the bar where you get your electronic card for ordering, open kitchen solution where you order your food and a bunch of tables alongside the walls. As we were a bigger group, around 8 people, we had to wait a little bit to order to be able to get everything at the same time. Unfortunately that didn't happen. A couple of us had to wait until the others almost had cold food. Well, the taste can still be good right? At least that was the minor redeeming quality. It was so cream-heavy that I felt completely stuff after less than half the plate. I kept eating because I was enjoying my company, but probably should have doggy-bagged the rest in any other occasion. I really enjoy the environment and the bartender's one of the best in town but they have a lot to work on food-wise.

There is almost only 4 person tables. The way you order the food is both a plus and a negative. It's more personal and you can see the whole process when the chef is making your food. On the down side is that it can take some time when you order. Especially if you are in a bigger group. The bartenders are the top of the line, and they are really service minded. Food wise it's the best. If you take away the time for the chef to prepare the food it's no negative with it. I have tested most of the pastas and some of the pizzas. Only one sallad. But the sallad was really good too! I strongly recommends the Manso pizza! And anti pasto de la casa. Heavenly! To sum it up, really good food, but I recommend not to be more than four when you'll eat there.
