Wanted a bottle of wine for Sundays dinner I was driving by so I decided to stop in. Wide variety of liquor and spirits shelves nicely stocked. I wanted Barefoot pink moscato wine, I didnt see what I wanted. I asked one of the employees they where very helpful and went to see if it was on the shelf. They didn't have the wine so I had to go to another liquor store. read more

I love Cappy's for their large selection, helpful staff, and clean well stocked store. Added bonus: their free tastings every weekend! They also host a grand tasting each year, where there are countless wines & spirits to taste! read more

My family and I have been going there for years. I always thought it was maybe just me the way the register ladies treated me. My daughter went again to get some wine and said they are the coldest dry individuals she has had to deal with. I will drive 10 miles out of my way to go to total wine and deal with the parking before I ever go back. The workers at total wine are helpful and polite and are happy you are doing business there. It's always sad when you try to support a local owned business and they treat you with no respect for doing business there. We tried for years and nothing has changed. Same workers same attitude. read more

Wide selection and very good prices. Employees extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Parking is very accessible.

Cappy's has recently become my go to spot for my Tequila and Wine re-up. I've driven past it hundreds of times, but only recently decided to check them out. Glad I did! They have the buttery Chardonnay that I love that is hard to find elsewhere. They also have a wide array of liquors at discounted prices and the staff are all friendly and helpful, which is refreshing. The service is also fast, no long lines. Can't go wrong here. read more

Placed an order online for a dozen bottles of wine and what was delivered was 5 of the 12 bottles with different years than was advertised on the website. They need to be more diligent about updating the app/website as different vintages could make a big difference in win, obviously. read more

Great service, extraordinary selection of everything. Knowledgeable staff friendly environment

Store has a great whiskey collection, whoever did the makers mark private selection really knows what they're doing. Will be back. read more

Cappy's Warehouse Wine & Spirits - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Lynbrook, New York

This is my go to spot for wines and spirits. They always have the staff in the store to answer questions or check the stock. Even the cashiers will check, when I've mentioned something I couldn't find to them. I had the occasion to need a high end Cabernet which they keep in the back. I was finished my shopping and the wine was waiting for me at checkout. They also have a rewards program that I appreciate. I was able to get $75 off my purchases from accumulated awards right when I needed it. I really love Cappys and am so happy they are close to my house. I do not have to travel far to get the top notch service we expect! read more

Same old Cappy's! When COVID hit, my wife and I were hesitant to go out to stores, especially small shops that have narrow aisles like Cappy's. Still, we wanted to support our local small businesses and decided to order curbside pickup. Since then we have returned to the in-store experience, so I have reviews for both. Curbside pickup was, to be honest, a bit awkward. In the end it worked out fine but it seemed a bit disorganized. The process was to call in the order or order online, then head to the store when the order was ready. We did and ended up parking in the lot, then calling inside to say we had arrived. After about 10 minutes nobody came out, so we called again. The employee then came out with our box but didn't know which car to bring it to, so I walked out to the employee, verified my info, and walked the box to my car. The in-store experience is just like it used to be, except the employees now wear masks, plexiglass has been installed at the registers, and social distancing markers are in place for the checkout line. Other than these few additions, the store feels a bit crowded at times, and the narrow aisles make it tough to keep socially distanced. Regardless, I'm sure we'll keep on returning. They always have excellent deals and a wide selection. read more

Cappy's Warehouse Wine & Spirits - The south shore wine store! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Lynbrook, New York

Cappy's Warehouse is a gem, and I love how organized and helpful the staff who work there are. In the past I have stopped by to pick up something for my husband and I, picked up for larger Christmas parties, and even ordered mini champagne bottles for my wedding. All have been pleasant experiences. Often times on the weekend they are doing wine tastings, they get me every time. Who doesn't like trying something different or new? Their prices are great - from my experience nothing has been overpriced. Naturally they are less expensive than the smaller liquor stores in the area. I am happy they are back up and running with restrictions lifting. You can continue to call in and place and order, or come in and browse as usual. read more

Nasty guy who obviously doesn't want any customer judging by his poor attitude. It's nearly impossible to get anyone to help you find 10 different liquors and wines which I fully intended to buy, but couldn't get anyone knowledgeable to help locate them in the store or tell me any information. He brags about how many customers come there, but his prices are not low the way they used to be. Not worth your gas to go there, and by the way, it's WEST Merrick Road, fyi, otherwise it's not easy to find, which is good -- pass it right by and keep on going ELSEWHERE. The guy obviously doesn't want or value your business, even though I intended on spending over $100 before I got there. read more

Cappy's is a great place for all your wine and liquor shopping needs. The prices here are great and most of the time better then other shops. I placed my order online and it was ready in just a few hours. I went right in, told then I had an online order and they came out from the back of the register to help me find my order and get out the door as soon as I could. read more

This place is great! One of the few places you can find the amazing Le KOOL Champagne!! The new Grand Cru by #KOOL of KOOL & The Gang! #lekoolchampagne read more

Very good selection of wines and the prices are very reasonable. The store has a lot sales and unpublished in store sales. A lot of vodka sales. The store is cheaper than most. No waiting on the registers. The store also offers online ordering for pick up. More and more stores are offering this service. There is a small parking lot out front. This will be my go to store for wine and hard liquor. read more

I have been at Cappy's many times and I'm so tired of the attitudes and rudeness of some of the cashiers. It would be nice to say thank you from time to time. I was there this morning and the young heavy cashier coudn't care less that I was a customer. Not one word was spoken. I guess my business was not appreciated. read more

Nice selection of wines and great prices. Lots of good choices on the $8 to $12 range. Look for sale items for even more savings. Parking lot is small so try to avoid weekends. read more

I must say I'm beyond disappointed in Cappy's. Went in this evening needing at least 12-14 btls of wine including several from the locked display case. I asked for assistance to get a response of what do you need. No one showed up within 10 minutes time and the store was not that busy. We walked out. Won't be going back, that's for sure! Done! read more

I mostly walked in, went straight to vodka, took a glance at tequila and as I'm trotting over to the register...i see they have wine samples ! So I do a double take... Yes I will taste your wares Madame... Tried a sweet red( I really am attempting to like you, Red) and a slightly drier Red (yucky face) and went on my way. Overall the place is spelled and well organised, countless varieties of Everything and pleasant employees, to boot. Previous reviews have started their prices can't be beat...i can't disagree! read more

Cappy's is a pleasure to visit and work with. It's always nice to support local businesses when big box retailers are trying to take over. Everyone at Cappy's is always helpful with recommendations, pricing, and they always go the extra mile. Shout out to Dawn to always helps us fill out our company order. Shop here even if you're not from the area! read more

I have been meaning to update my review...Cappy's must have moved over a year ago now! It has a larger home right next to Crawford Animal Hospital. As if it wasn't packed already across the street, this location is always busy. It is a little weird getting in and out. Small lot, crammed spots, one ways and exits and entrances. Can get a bit nutty! Selection is still amazing and the staff is great now. Friendly and accommodating. There are usually tastings of some wine/spirits which is always a cool thing. On my last pre-Easter visit, I noticed this contraption that looked like a water fountain. I walked over and it is like an instant wine cooler. So basically if you pop in for a last minute dinner and your party appreciates a chilled wine, hold in the water for just 5 minutes and you are set! Super cool! They also have a club card which is awesome for those who buy in bulk. Discounts baby! Being a graphic artist, their logo is a tad outdated and would LOVE to re-design but, this is the place to go for great deals and service. Total fan. read more

Best liquor store in the game . Not just because it's around the corner from my house.

A deceptively big place, with a nice layout and good selection. I found the prices on liquor to be one or two dollars higher than most other local places. But their prices on wines are very good. read more

Shop all the time. Great selection of wine and spirits at reasonable prices. Store is easy to navigate. Busy on weekends and holidays but they have all cashiers open and lines go quickly. Parking can be a little tricky due to a small lot. read more

It's rare that I give 5 stars. They've moved from their previous location. They have a broader selection now with great lower priced wines. They have great ones that I have not seen elsewhere which is a plus (and the 5 star rating). Great higher end selection, Italian and California selection. Their French selection is ok. Long lines but plenty of cashiers for a short wait online. read more

This is the best liquor store around. Luckily it is around the corner from my job, and 5 minutes from my house. They have everything you are looking for FOR CHEAP! My friends can not believe how low the prices are, I usually have to stock up for them. This is a great place to try new things and with this economy, get great priced gifts! You can get $2.99 wine that costs over $10 in other stores! Its amazing. I guarantee you will leave with a cart full of stuff! Cappys also has a nice staff. They are very helpful. If you are lucky you might even get some free samples! It gets difficult to park on a Friday after work so keep that in mind, this place is hopping! read more

I think it's difficult to find a decent liquor store so I'm very happy that Cappy's is around because it is nice! They have an extensive selection of wines, vodka, rum, etc, and my favourite Porto and Port wines. It's a sizable store with spacious aisles of liquor. Things are easy to find because it is very organized. I've never had to ask where anything was. There's a nice selection of cheap wine (under 10$) and fancy classy wine. I've sampled a few of my favourite kinds of Porto wine (from Portugal) including Warre's Warrior Porto Wine (16.28$) and Cockburn (Ruby or Tawny) Porto (11$). They have a top shelf section that looks good and I want to try a few but have not tried them yet. I've been to a lot of different liquor stores on Long Island and I always use Cappy's as a base line comparison because they seem to have the best priced liquor and wine. It's a shame that their cashiers aren't very friendly. I hate to have to deduct a point because everything else is top notch. The cashiers always seem to have a stick up their ass or something when I come here and that's pretty lame. They're rude and generally unpleasant. I recommend coming to this liquor store if you're around and even if you aren't, I'd say it's worth the trip. read more

This is the best place to get good quality liquor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their prices are awesome and they have a huge selection of wines, scotchs....well everything!!!! Was very very excited to go check out Cappy's, given the raving reviews I've seen, as I go to the vet next door to them. Went to pick up my pet's medicine and drop it off in the car before entering the store, when a woman came out and started scolding me like a child for parking in the lot, saying I'm taking spots away from customers. Looked like she was waiting for me to get back to my car - was an ambush attack, haha. Was planning on doing some of my Christmas shopping at Cappy's, but if this woman's attitude is any indication of the rest of the employees, my family and I will pass. read more

Great selection for whatever adult beverage you are looking for. I give this place a 3 because the cashiers are nasty especially the one today wearing the Belaire (I think that is what it said) mask. She was the middle cashier when I went in today. She never said hello and when I said thank you, she never responded. I definitely will go somewhere else before going back. I don't need the attitude when I'm spending my money there. read more

I get my booze gifts here. I do not personally drink, which is unusual i know, but this place has selection that is like Booya. "Excuse me sir, do you have (Insert obscure brand here)" I say. They say "follow me sir, here it is". The prices are wholesale even on the retail end. This is a great place to go to get ready for your party or for gifts for your friends and relatives. Plenty of parking, so no worries about space. read more

HORRIBlE Experience today at Cappy's!!!! Long story short, I spent $172.07 on some bottles, asked the person at the register (first time I see her) to give me two boxes instead of one because it was too heavy to carry and she had a whole lot of ATTITUDE. I extended my hand for the receipt and she ignored me and stuffed it in a bag. Incident occurred at 19:37 on 12.15.18. read more

Excellent selection and decent prices. Whenever I need something obscure that no one else has, Cappy's is there to save the day!

Great Prices, Great Selection, Great Staff! I just wanted to point out one hard-to-find wine that that carry which is simply delicious! Pacific Rim 2010 Sweet Riesling Columbia Valley For a $7.50 bottle of wine it is simply FANTASTIC. Great for just about any occasion. I understand cheaper wines may use sugars as fillers but even so, this one doesn't taste overly sweet. Its the perfect balance of Tart and Sweet read more

Employee was extremely unprofessional. Prices are fair, my family and I have been loyal customers since they opened. Cappys has such a huge selection and great prices. But what I really love about this store are the people who work there. Not only are they fast and efficient they are really nice people. Cappy's is a very good liquor store with an extensive selection of wines, vodka, and various other types of alcohol. It's very big and spacious with rows upon rows of spirits and booze. Everything is very organized, with each row dedicated to a specific category. They have cheap wine that is under $10 and really fancy wine that would certainly burn a hole in your wallet. My bf and I like to come here to buy Porto wine. So far we had the excellent Warre's Warrior Porto Wine for $16.28 and the surprisingly great Cockburn Ruby Porto Wine for a mere $11. We also had an interesting blueberry porto wine and other great wines for under $20. I've have never tried their top shelf bottles, but they offer a vast selection of reasonably priced wine. The wine and spirits at Cappy's are certainly competitively priced. You can easily find something here that is slightly cheaper than what another liquor store is charging. The only reason why I am not giving this place 5 stars is because of the rude and irritable cashiers they have working there. Every time I came here, I've encountered a cashier (I am not sure if they were the same person) who have been rude and unpleasant. Like another yelper, the cashier was snippy when I asked for a receipt. In another occasion, my bro-in-law said that a cashier was giving him attitude. While I'm not a fan of some members of the staff, Cappy's is my go to place to get great wine at a competitive price. read more
