While the room is best described as efficient (but who cares? You don't go to Italy to stay in your room!), they are clean and well lit. Rooms facing the Porto Vecchio have a small porch which affords having a peaceful cup of tea, coffee, or a glass of wine. The hotel also provides an ample breakfast of fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, cereals, and drinks to order. Finally, the essential element in every memorable hotel stay is genuinely hospitable, helpful, and welcoming staff. Hotel Piroscafo suffers no shortage of these.

I've booked some really nice hotels with horrible beds but this bed felt clean and comfortable enough. My room was Immaculately clean. The room was dark with no natural light. Don't expect anything outstanding but you get a decent place to sleep that's not expensive (got a great price on booking.com) Location is great! It faces a charming little Marina and it's a short 5 min walk to the ferry. Lots of Restaurants and shops are just around the corner. WiFi is good. Tv channels in 4 languages. I appreciated that they had an English language news channel and I could stream Netflix shows on my iPad . Overall it's a very good value for the price!

Had to open the windows for some breeze and endured a searing hot and annoyingly loud night, ambulance sirens every 15 minutes, and drunk people passing by. No compromise was offered by the management, not even a sorry.
