I had an awful experience here. I was so disappointed since there are so few studios offering aerial yoga, which is something I really enjoy doing.
Firstly, the instructor showed up 10 minutes late. This is after the woman I spoke to on the phone told me very firmly that I needed to arrive 15 minutes early in order to pay. So I am waiting in a dark studio for half an hour on a beautiful sunny day. There were a handful of first time students (myself included) standing around a dark room, confused, and unsure of what was going on (maybe the class is cancelled??) so we sit in the yoga room and wait. Finally the instructor shows up, and starts sizing the height of the silks for each person. But the shortly after, a women comes in, barking at us to come and pay for our class. Something I would have loved to have done, except for the fact that there was nobody present at the desk at the time the class was supposed to start.
I had made sure to phone ahead to the studio, as my German is not up to snuff yet. I asked if the teachers were able to give instructions in English in addition to German. I made sure I was very clear when asking my question. She said it was no problem. Well this instructor did not speak any English at all, and even went as far as to laugh at my request. I was extremely embarrassed. I realise that I do not speak the dominant language here, and this is why I called ahead. I can only learn German so quickly. I might have stayed and tried to get through with German, had it not been for the fact that I was already quite annoyed about the lateness and the woman rudely asking for our money. I go to the gym next door (Lady Company) and was SO excited to add some aerial yoga classes to my routine. This was such an embarrassing and upsetting dissapointment. read more
