I would rate this place 100/10 if I could. Customer service is truly extraordinary. We didn't make dinner plans because we arrived late and decided to just figure it out. The maitre d was phenomenal and did everything he could to accommodate seating us even tho they were booked. He sat us by the fire to wait for an open seat. I felt like we were special even tho we were underdressed and exhausted. Our server was also exceptional. Literally every single staff member had a smile on their face. The Ragu was the best I've ever had as well as the steak and mashed potatoes. Soufflé was divine. If I have one critique so this doesn't come off fake, it's that the mashed potatoes were cold but they were so silky and the flavor was phenomenal. It is on the pricier side but totally worth it if you're looking to treat yourself. Updating bc I just realized when I checked our to go bag that our server gave us a little container of the dessert biscuits, I'm crying. That was so sweet.

Fantastic service, best ambiance, not much more I could ask for. Food was superb also, although the dessert wasn't loved by my companion I really liked it.

Potato Galette Truly divine centerpiece for the table.

Been a few times to Capo now and we're always so complimentary of the service and experience. Food is consistently executed well and the little luxuries of the glassware and service-ware really make you tip your cap to the restaurant. Conversation always seems seemless with no concern of how the night will go. Timing is paced but comfortable and am happy to pay a service charge with such a professional staff.

Food was ok. There are better authentic Italian restaurants all over the city. The meatballs were way too salty and they were so small. The seared foie gras was ok - nothing to rave about. The lamb ragù was ok. The short ribs was not tender enough - it still had a chew. I was expecting fall of the bone, but it wasn't. The pumpkin ravioli was forgettable. Eggplant parm - nothing special. The chocolate soufflé was fluffy & tasted good at least. The place is small and can get stuffy when full. Menu is in Italian only & price is much higher than many Bev Hills Italian restaurants- you won't see any young crowd or influencers here. But you may bump into your friend's parents or aunts. Our waiter was off that night. Was trying to tell me that the Polpette on the menu was the octopus - he was nice, probably just an off day. $70 corkage fee. Valet only with fee.

Chicken pomodoro. One of my favorites ever!

Good lord. Right when I thought I'd tried all the best Italian food in LA, I get humbled by simplicity. Tonight, I was invited to Capo by one of my top restaurant connoisseur friends, and a pretty well-known businessman. We had a late reservation, which I initially thought was odd that he was ok with, but then he assured me, "Trust me..... with Capo, it's worth the wait." That alone told me this was going to be anything but typical. Now, my friend is part of the uber-elite, so my experience may have been slightly skewed. Even though I made the reservation myself (a "nobody"), the host's tone may have shifted when he realized who I'd be dining with. The service was exceptional, reminiscent of the high-brow hospitality found at the Peninsula in London, the Four Seasons in Hong Kong, or the highroller VIP desks at the Bellagio or Wynn in Vegas. It is a proud, almost restrained service style that could be mistaken for pretension by some, but for me, it was a mark of their finesse and experience. Capo's decor isn't your classic Italian, but rather an eclectic, high-end display of art that feels both intentional and eccentric--think Andy Warhol meets Ian Schrager. Every piece works together to create an ambiance that feels luxurious without cliché. Capo's focus on simplicity is where they shine. By using the finest ingredients with precision, they achieve an incredible depth of flavor in every dish. Portions are refined, a nod to European dining where quality in small quantities reigns supreme. Here are my food highlights: - Rigatoni Tartufo Ragu, is probably one of THE best pasta dishes I've ever had. The aftertaste lingered so well, that I almost avoided dessert to preserve that sensation on my palate. If there is ONE dish you must try, it is THIS. The flavor is absolutely passionate, as if to kiss you back. 11/10. - Corn Ravioli, is another fantastic dish. Unfortunately for me, we were having dinner family style, and they paired this with the tartufo ragu, and I had already fallen in love with the other dish. But this ravioli, is easily the twin sister paramour. Soft, gentle to the palate, I never thought a "corn pasta" could taste so indulgent. 9/10. - Grilled octopus, was absolutely outstanding. I almost misbehaved tonight, and took more than my fair share, but I also didn't care. If you love your octopus, this will easily be one of your favorites. 10/10. - Chicken pomodoro, was another showcase of simple ingredients done to perfection. Beautifully presented and almost too good to share. 10/10. We finished with the chocolate soufflé and tiramisu--both excellent, though I admit I was still savoring that rigatoni. Capo isn't cheap, but neither is flawless craftsmanship. Like the Maine highway sign that reads, "The way life should be," Capo's mastery of simple perfection leaves you feeling this is how Italian food is supposed to be.

Drinks by the bar before we were sat.

Celebrated our anniversary here and the service was impeccable. The ambiance is cozy, unpretentious, and refined. The food was perfect and the portions were larger than I anticipated. The feeling inside the restaurant was relaxed, yet the quality of service was perfect. Thank you for a memorable evening!

Went on a double date and ordered the toro tartare, grilled octopus, two different pastas, wagyu, ribeye, and berry cobbler. The two pastas and the ribeye were out of this world. Would definitely get those again. The other items were fine, but didn't stand out enough for me to want to order them again.

The pasta was easily some of the best we've had outside of Italy -- simple, authentic, and executed at a very high level. It genuinely felt like being transported back to Italy. Every dish was balanced, fresh, and memorable. Our server, Kiara, delivered exceptional hospitality. She made us feel welcome, relaxed, and genuinely taken care of the entire evening. She's a great example of how service should be done. We enjoyed it so much that we were recommending the restaurant to people on our way out. There was a situation during our visit that concerned me at the time. I won't go into details here, but what matters most is how it was handled. Shortly after, I was contacted directly by the regional manager. He had already reviewed the situation internally and addressed it promptly. Our conversation was thoughtful, professional, and focused on doing the right thing. What stood out most is their philosophy: they're not just in the business of serving pasta -- they're in the business of taking care of people. That clearly extends to both their guests and their team. That level of accountability and leadership is rare, and it turned a great experience into one that I respect even more. Kiara absolutely represents the standard they aim for, and we'll definitely be back.

I came here on a Friday evening and was able to find metered street parking fairly easily. My friends and I were fortunate enough to be seated in the gorgeous back patio, and the multiple heaters kept us toasty warm despite the chilly winter evening. I participated in the DineLA menu, which was priced at $45 for 3 courses - not bad for LA, especially Santa Monica. I started with the octopus salad and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size. The octopus had a nice char and tasted pretty tender, though I'd say it was cooked just a tiny bit too long for my liking. For my entree, I was in the mood for a cheesy bowl of carbs, so I opted for the Pici Guanciale e Cipolla, which essentially tasted like a carbonara. I loved that the housemate pici noodles were cooked perfectly al dente and had a delightfully chewy texture, and the parmesan fondue coated each bite of noodles with velvety goodness. For dessert, my weakness for chocolate took over, and I had to try the Tronchetto. Though I was initially a bit underwhelmed by the small portion size, it ended up being the perfect amount given how rich and decadent the chocolate mousse was. Throughout the evening, our servers were knowledgeable, welcoming, and attentive - almost a little too attentive, as they tried to clear my plates before I finished eating on a few occasions. However, they profusely apologized and I acknowledged that there was only one bite left each time (I was really trying to lick the plates clean), so we had a good laugh about it. I'm really glad I was able to try out Piccolo's DineLA menu, and I loved the romantic and intimate ambiance. This would be a perfect date night spot!

We decided to go to the bar and conveniently a couple left right when we got there so we actually decided to sit and have our dinner at the bar! We decided to order a lychee martini however I don't believe the bartender heard us and gave us lemon drops instead, again I'm not one to really complain I like lemon drops so we finished our martini, I would give that a 5/10 honestly it was a little too sweet for me, for our second drink we ordered "The Elephante" with vodka, it tasted like mezcal I'm not gonna lie which is not my favorite, however it wasn't horrible I give that a 6/10. For our appetizer we ordered the Meatballs which I actually loved, we were so hungry I forgot to take a picture but I give it a good 9/10 only because they were just a little dry We also ordered the Burrata & fig, wowww this dish is to die for!! All the flavors are combined beautifully I give it a 10/10! Lastly, for our main dish we ordered the - Vodka pasta: 7/10, this dish was great but as someone who LOVES vodka pasta I must say it wasn't the absolute best I've had. The pasta shells needed to be cooked a bit more and the sauce wasn't anything crazy, however I did enjoy it. - Branzino: 6/10 this is my boyfriends rating I don't eat fish, he didn't think the taste was anything crazy - Wild mushroom pizza: 7/10 this pizza surprised me only because it had some lemon in the sauce but it was very delicate, I thought I would hate it but it was great. However, the only thing I would complain about is how soggy it became, when we would pick up a slice the cheese and toppings would fall. Overall, I think the experience was great, sitting at the bar definitely gets your orders in quick, our waiters were great and quick. Parking was easy, right across the street or valet. I would go back again!

The staff is great, and the menu offers a nice variety of dishes. Some favorites are the mushroom pizza, boar ragù, sole, and branzino. We often bring out-of-town guests here because of the convenient location and their ability to accommodate larger parties. Our favorite table when dining with friends is the one immediately to the left when you enter- it's more tucked away from the rest of the restaurant, making it cozy, more intimate, and easier to have conversations. Dinner typically requires a reservation unless you arrive early, and it's much livelier than lunchtime. The wine recommendations are always excellent, and it's a great spot for a relaxed, leisurely meal. They strike the perfect balance between a polished dining experience and attentive service. We usually sit inside, but now that we have a puppy, we're looking forward to enjoying their patio on our next visit. Parking is easy- if meters aren't available, there's plenty of parking on nearby residential side streets (just pay attention to the signs). It's also a great area to walk around afterward for dessert or coffee.

The Diavola pizza I ended up choosing was so good--perfect balance of spice, richness, and that classic wood-fired taste. The bolognese was super authentic and just oozing with flavor, and the Caesar salad totally surprised me--in the best way. It had these tiny crunchy crumbs on top that gave it such a unique texture. BUT I have to mention something that really threw me off. I asked one of the pizza makers which pizza she recommended because I was stuck between a few options, and she paused, looked at me, and said, "I don't really like the pizzas here." I genuinely didn't know how to respond. I even had to double-check with my friend to make sure I heard her correctly. It was such a strange moment... especially because the pizza ended up being amazing. On the flip side, our server was fantastic. Even though she was clearly slammed, she kept checking in and made sure we knew she hadn't forgotten about us. That level of attentiveness goes a long way. Spicy Pomodoro (3.5/5) - This didn't hit as hard for me; I wished it was more spicy and I didn't taste any truffle. Pasta itself was perfectly al dente. Sweet Corn Agnolotti (5/5) - This was delish! Make sure to get equal parts of the pasta, sauce, corn, and crème fraiche (like a light sour cream) to get that flavor explosion. Creme was a little sour, corn was sweet, and the agnolotti was salty; perfect bite fr. My only negative is that this dish was too small for $28 :(. Blood Orange Pavlova (4/5) - A truly layered dessert because if you ate the sorbet by itself, it would be too sour but otherwise, another flavor explosion. The pavlova was thick and you really have to jam your spoon in to break the pieces apart. Service was friendly and fast! Overall, I'd come back!

The Chef's Negroni is a soothing, smoky and somewhat sweet cocktail that starts with cathedral mezcal. I loved it. We ordered a several dishes - and let's start by saying you must try the ricotta. 'Whipped cheese, sea salt' does not do it justice, but it's wonderful and perfect to share. The Beef Tartare is another winner, served with crispy potato and parm. It's pretty huge, and rich, and conveniently cut into pieces for easy sharing. The crunch potato chips on top are a nice finish. A creative take on a classic, purists might wonder what's going on, until they taste it. The Caesar is huge and great to share, too, as well as the Crispy Rhode Island Calamari. These are more in the department of comfortable staples, but are delicious crowdpleasers, nonetheless. Of the entrees we ordered, everyone seemed to like mine the most: Malloreddus (bbef cheek, ragu napoletano, thyme, toscano). It sounded a bit quirky, but inviting. The server gave it a bit thumbs up, so I'm glad to have ventured this way. Served over the small pasta pieces that you can watch being made closer to the front of the restaurant. The Lemon Tagliolini features lobster 'fry diavolo', basil and pistachio. Not too spicy, and the lobster and pasta were perfectly cooked. The cannelloni was perhaps the one entree that, while good, did not rise above 'just fine'. Perhaps the flavors were a bit toned down that night, or maybe overwhelmed by the gorgeous Sorrentina blanket of mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil.
