this school is a scam! they only see the children as a dollar bill not as human beings with emotions. the teachers are inappropriate with the children. the school tried to expel my daughter because i asked for a parents teachers conference for 4 months and they kept refusing to provide me one. i have receipts of them keep rescheduling it. then the parent teachers day came (the day they emailed me to expel my child) (even though my child NEVER had a behavioral problem nor educational issues either) and the teacher couldn't communicate to me regarding my child just see the principal. they do not believe the parents to be hands on. your child will get hurt at the school and they won't inform you until the end of the school day when it's time to pick up your children. they are hiding things they are doing things that should not be done and they are afraid that parents will find out adults stealing from the children. teachers allowing other girl students to be uncomfortable around male students who are sexually harassing them. this is not a christian school at all. they do not believe in love nor grace. they take and take money but do not offer anything. any and everything that your child will need you will have to purchase and supply this is not a school it's more so of a cult if you love your children please do not send them here it is horrible read more

The school sounds promising, however, it does little to act on the values it preaches. The administration does not teach nearly enough about social inequities or promoting equality. Instead, they implement a strict dress code to assimilate minorities and teach equal to or less than what is taught in public school. For a prepatory school, the expectation from a parental standpoint is higher. The facility is highly guarded, so that provides peace of mind, but the remaining issues are glaring, and need to be fixed. read more

This school is the worst school I can ever send my kids to and I will not refer anyone in my family to sign there children up for this school either. They talk about Children being disrespectful but don't say when they are being disrespectful towards the children. I'm glad that I taught my kids to speak up because boy did that principle get an earful from me. He literally stood at the door lying on my child putting words in his mouth when none of the words he told me was what my son said. This school is a joke and i refuse to deal with anyone who felt the need to try and force my kid to give up his phone i get it you wanted the phone but trying to pry it out of his hands is just not something you do. To top it off he was disrespectful to me after i asked him about the suspension. This school is the worse I don't care what any child did your responsibility is to call the parent in regards to anything you don't see a child did right. Kids deserve the same respect as adults and by the looks of it none of those teachers give these kids respect and that's where the disrespect comes in. I removed my child immediately I will not have my child be treated in such manner. Be on a look out for any lies Mr. Hutchins tells the parents. I do not care who he is don't tell lies on my child and keep you grimmy hands of any child you don't have a good relationship with. That is the parents responsibility to deal with not the school. I am the parent of former Capital Prep students. and I regret not having looked for reviews of the principal Steve Perry and this school. After several months of red flags from pervasive, poor communication to parents to poorly implemented programs and curricula to severely strict uniform policies to uncaring responses to discipline issues to just not having created a warm, nurturing environment for young kids, we were finally just biding our time until the end of the school year to escape and find new options for our children. Unfortunately we left sooner! With just 2 months of school left in the school year, we have withdrawn our daughters (ages 8 and 5) after having my 5 year old be harshly disciplined for having a missing belt on that day. Without my notice, was required to eat standing! Even more outrageous is that I have yet to get any response from the Board of Ed regarding my concern over this harsh discipline. Don't send your kids here. You will regret it and it's not worth the trauma to your kids. We need to stop allowing these fame-seeking, fake reformers to ruin our kids and schools! My son attends this excellent school. The teachers are wonderful and caring. My son test scores for the CMT'S are 3x as higher than before he attended. I love this school! read more
