Unlike Centre Bell and Scotiabank Arena which have great food, drinks, and WiFi there are limited food and drink options here (at least on 3rd floor where we sat) and no WiFi. The arena is also far away from the city center although luckily they are putting new arena near the War Museum in LeBreton Flats that will be on the light rail line. They do their best to make up for the shortcomings and have a couple restaurants in the arena but we didn't try them as well as great pregame and intermission entertainment. When we went on November 2nd against the Kraken it was Oktoberfest night and they had pregame specials and entertainment we missed along with a beer stein giveaway they ran out of (but we didn't want to fly back with them anyways), and a German dance troupe during intermission that was just to the left and below us on the club level and the Jumbotron was fun to watch throughout the game. The team has so much potential and I love Brady Tkachuk as his dad Keith was my favorite Blues player growing up so I got his jersey in advance. Plus hockey really has its origins in Ottawa rather than Toronto even though the original Senators relocated to St. Louis to become the Eagles before they got the current team several decades later. Looking forward to seeing Ottawa again when Parliament is restored and they have a new and improved arena.

Pretty easy access to get in and out and there are plenty of restrooms and food choices. Staff was also super cool and friendly along with all of the Ottawa fans we met. It is out in the middle of the boonies, so we didn't drive there and stayed at the hotel that was 0.5 miles down the road. It is pretty easy to walk on Huntmar Dr and across the bridge to the arena. That's the only downside is that the place is like a 30 minute drive to downtown. There are some things around the area, but it is still pretty dead and you can't really pregame like you can at other arenas.

I've wanted to go there for years, but never made it. What a shame I didn't go! It's a lovely place - big and inviting, with a lovely outdoor seating area (not today though, with the damp rain and cold). They have an inside area available for wine tastings for weddings. However, there were no tastings planned today, and now that they're closing, likely never again. No bottles are open now that they're closing. To celebrate their closing, Jabulani is offering what is left of their various wines at a discount. This is what enticed us today. I look forward to enjoying the wines we chose, and we wish the owners good luck in their retirement from Jabulani. Also good luck to the new owners, when they take over.

Upon arriving, they will give you a menu of their wines. You can select six to try for free. If you want food, you have to buy a bottle (they said it has to do with laws regarding serving food since they are not a restaurant). My favorites were the Frontenac Blanc, the MCM (a red wine on the lighter and fruitier side), and the Rose. This would be a great place to hold an event such as a wedding, but you would need to reserve a year ahead of time. They said they are already booked up for all of 2018!

It's $20 if you advance purchase online (any day of the week). If you pay at the gate, it's $25 Monday-Thursday and $30 Friday-Sunday. You can also tune into MAJIC 100.3 FM on your radio to hear Christmas music while you drive through the lights show. I thought the display was pretty, and I think it would be a fun activity to do with kids. They had different themes through the display such as fairy tales/nursery rhymes, Nativity scene, the 12 Days of Christmas, Christmas around the world, and a few others. This year is the 4th year of Magic of Lights. I'm glad I did it, but I think it's more of a one time thing. I doubt that I would go again.

Well worth the wait, driving at snail pace to the gate, as the 2 km journey inside takes just under 40 mins with lights display on each side of the one-way drive. Get your camera ready and as you tune in the 100.3FM, your video picks up all the Christmas Carols. Fortunately, it was not too cold and we were able to get lots of shots through the sunroof. Happy is see many Christmas themes in all the truly magic of lights coming alive. As we exit just before 7pm, we see the lineup way longer than we started. A must see annual attraction.

We had a tour guild who took us through the museum, they didn't show us all of it but he took us to the bottom and then let us work our way back up on our own terms or go back and check out the places we didn't see. The guide was very knowledgeable and definitely had a passion for this type of thing which made the whole experience just that much better.

From the pastel yellow and blue paint used to the decorations in each room, it was quiet the experience to look at, and a step back in time. Walking through the tunnel upon entrance was chilly, literally, cold. Bring a sweater. The temperature in the rest of the museum was fine. My 5 year old thought it was cool in the beginning, but got extremely creeped out mid tour, and decided it was time to go. My 2 year old loved it and was laughing the whole time. Keep in mind there is not much for children to do here, but walk, and look. Keep an eye out for the TV and green chair that is set up. They were rolling commercials and announcements from that time era. It was pretty cool to watch. Parking on site, bring a lunch as there is no food to purchase on site (that I could find anyways). 5 and under free entry.
