My son and I went there so he could buy a car he had been saving up for. We found one we liked and felt no awkward sales pressure. The car had a 30 day warrantee. About day 35, the car died. It was a bad starter. We called them up and they didn't blink an eye! They told us where to haul it, they put in a new starter and we had it back to us by the end of the day. They stood up for their word, and delivered a great deal. They could have easily told us to take a walk because the warrantee was expired. They didn't, and they made it a priority to get it fixed for us. I would highly recommend. read more

The same son who purchased the Toyota Tundra in March 2019 has purchased 2 vehicles from Cape Motors and my oldest daughter purchased her first car from there as well. I also, back more than 25 years ago purchased my first car from there. I found them to be honest and they stood by their word. My son's first car was on its last day of warranty (which they extended for us initially), and the transmission went-they replaced it. The Toyota Tundra Ron H. talks about had no issues with tires when we bought it and they would not have noticed a welded rim during a routine review. When one is buying a 17 year old car, there are bound to be some problems at some point. Town Faire Tires didn't even notice the welded rim while replacing all 4 tires until one went flat the next morning-and they were directly working with the tires and rims! f there was a way to put a -5 I would have. My son purchased a Toyota Tundra 2002 back in March. He had to take it in for tires and was told that one of the rims had a hole in it that had been covered up by JB Weld. So I decided to call Jim at Cape Motors. This is something that should have been caught during the overall vehicle inspection that they so proudly brag about. As soon as it was put on the lift it would have been noticed. My guess is that either Ray Charles does the inspections or it was something was noticed and that was the cheapest way out for Cape Motors. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out what was done. The rims are after market which means that you couldn't just replace one or get from a junk yard. When I told him what had been found the dancing began! "We wouldn't have", "We couldn't have", "There's no way we could've" Do not purchase a vehicle from Cape Motors based on their "Overall Inspection" Take it to a reputable mechanic and have it inspected. Very surprised to see negative reviews here, my experience was very different. Purchased my vehicle well below blue book value, they performed a gd amount of preventative maintenance and addressed a couple of concerns as I brought them up. I found Jim and his staff to be very pleasant, catering and reasonable. Unless I am buying a brand new vehicle this will be my first stop. I am sure it must be difficult as customers do not have a reasonable expectation while shopping for vehicles for low low prices that have well over 100K miles. If you want a vehicle without defects, go across the street and pay $60K for a brand new Jeep and enjoy that $800 car payment, if you want a dependable vehicle that will last well past it's payments in the $7-15K range-go to Cape Motors read more

i went to purchase a used vehicle from cape motors on yarmouth rd. hyannis, and the owner jim was so rude to me just because i brought someone with me to check out the vehicle. i needed help with no vehicle in the first place to get a ride to go there with a bad knee to begin with. and i explained i wanted someone to help me make the final decision on a purchase of the vehicle with a lot of miles, knowing sometimes women get taken advantage of by themselves purchasing a vehicle with no help to make an informed decision on buying a used vehicle. to make a long story short, i would not recommend this used car dealer jim, or cape motors, when buying a used vehicle because of his poor cuctomer service , over priced vehicles with high miles and terrible customer service berating the customer and getting mad at me for wanting to have someone with car knowledge to at least check out the vehicle and give me an opinion. he seems to have something to hide on his vehicles if he gets upset for having someone looking at the vehicle before the purchase, and worse than that in his degrading attitude and poor customer service! read more
