Chicken adobo and beef mechado. So. Freakin. Good.

This place is amazingly delicious! AND the service is incredible! Rarely do restaurants exceed my expectations in both taste and friendliness. Not only did we eat every last morsel, we then ordered food to go for lunch at work the next day. I savored my leftovers for 2 days because I didn't want to run out! We were traveling from out of the area, but will surely go back again if we're in the area. Please take my word for it and eat here! Yum!

Capangan in Pittsburg is a must if you're craving Filipino comfort food. We ordered the Sisig Plate, Lumpia Shanghai, Pancit Palabok, Kare Kare, and Kaldereta. Everything was flavorful and on point. Sisig had a nice slight kick, lumpia disappeared fast, and the Kare Kare + Kaldereta were rich and comforting. Solid portions, authentic taste. Definitely coming back.

I got goat kaldereta reminds me of the fiestas at my town back in the Philippines..

Best seller is their kapampanagan pork sisig not in the picture , and we got turon, at the end we bought sisig and how lucky are we cause we got the last batch of it and you have to wait 15 mins for them to cook..

Had to try the ube mango sticky rice and it was hella good! The mangoes were sweet, the rice was warm and fluffy and not overly sweet. I usually come here for their bopis and beef caldereta but it's good to know that their desserts are also delicious.

Stopped by since I was in the area and the UBE Mango Sticky Rice was amazing!!! The portion was hefty and i was able to get three separate portions out of it! I tried the lumpia and that was very yummy as well!

Food: It's Pampanga Cuisine... which I've never had before. We ordered their version of Pork Sisig and Plabok. We also ordered fried fish (pritong Daing), halo-halo, and Buko Pandan. Service: Their food is counter-served. There are items that can be made to order. Also, they offer catering services. I love that they let you taste test the food to see if it's to your liking. The man tho at was at thy r counter was very nice. He seemed down to earth. I love that. I noticed that they sold some can goods from the Philippines like corned beef, sausage, and some other things. I found that a bit pricey. Ambiance: the place is small. You can dine in. But if it's busy it might be a little tight inside. But over all we loved everything we ordered. I especially love the palabok.

We came for the 2nd time today. Food was great. There was no bistek but we all had adobo which was mildly flavored, a bit oily, but still delicious! The tinola was delicious as well. For dessert we got their turon. They're long, with banana and langka in the middle part leaving both sides of the turon wrapper empty. As with any other Filipino restaurants, food is greasy but I think that's where the delicious comes from. Finally, there's halo-halo! It's one of the best halo-halo I've had in the area. Lots of good ingredients, definitely way better than Chow King's! Halo-halo! The server and cashier were young women, must be family members. I wish they could be friendlier and warmer. I felt like giving more tip but service was lacking, It was different when the owners were manning the store.

2×Beef Kaldereta Plate / Sisig Fries / Lechon Kawali

Finally tried Capangan heard nothing but good things bout this place! Had the Lechon Kawali, Sisig Fries, and the Beef Kaldereta. Lechon Kawali was made to perfection and of course with the brown Mang Tomas sauce is a must. Sisig fries were really good you definitely can taste the sisig as it lays on top of a bed of fries. Beef Kaldereta was also cooked to perfection, man that dish was cooked so good I feel like I can eat it everyday! Make sure to try this place out if your ever out in Pittsburg you won't be disappointed!

This place is fire. Came here for the mango sticky rice but also for the steam table food. We got the jack fruit entree. We will for sure be back and I'm glad this poppin' in here. Looking forward to trying more things on the menu.

Finally a good Filipino joint in the area! I really liked the Kare Kare and sisig but everything I tried there was good. Meat was tender, food packed with flavor. Everything really tasted home made and you can tell it was made with love. Owners and staff were very friendly and was giving me samples of the food that they had. Everything was good! There are multiple tables so you can dine in or take out. Definitely will be back to try everything else. Also, you gotta get the ube sticky rice with mango.

Today was my first time going to Capangan, but it definitely won't be my last. This place hits all the right spots for me! It's a little "turo turo" cafe with 3-4 tables and some barstool seating - brand new, so the place is super clean, aesthetics very cute. The place is family owned, and they're the most charming, friendly and welcoming people. The food is effing good. When I tasted it, all I could think was "thank goodness we have Filipino food of this caliber in the area". My opinion is that the quality of food here rivals that of some high end sit down Filipino restaurants in the peninsula. I ordered fried bangus, Kapangpangan-style dinuguan (good AF), turon & halo halo. This was all for me, but I had to stop myself from ordering more. Thanks Capangan for bringing this quality food to the area. Maraming salamat!!! I'll definitely be coming here regularly : )

If you're craving authentic Filipino comfort food, this place absolutely hits the spot. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of garlic, soy sauce, and simmering broth immediately takes you back to a Filipino kitchen. Restaurant opens at 10am, and closes at 7pm. I ordered a combination plate of Pork Sisig and Pininyahang manok(pineapple chicken). The owner also let me taste some Beef Caldereta and Laing. Probably one of the most authentic Kapampangan food I've ever tasted in the bay area. The sisig is a true flavor bomb. Salty, tangy, spicy and undeniably addicting. Service was warm and friendly, just like you'd expect from Filipino hospitality. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the vibe is casual and welcoming.

I ordered the 8pc chicken wings and garlic noodle combo. The flavor of my wing I picked is Candy. I also ordered a spicy chicken taco and a fish taco which is $2 on taco Tuesday. They did not last long enough for a photo unfortunately. The fish taco was nice and crispy the fish was flaky and delicious. The spicy chicken taco was tender and flavor definitely top notch. My chicken wings and garlic noodle combo was amazing. The portion is huge and filling. The customer service was okay, I did feel a little rushed to order, but it was busy and clearly this restaurant is popular, but a little patience goes a long way.
