What I love about these markets is that they have cheap, fresh produce. You won't find macaroons, Greek yoghurt, fancy dips on tasting spoons or the mushroom man. This market keeps things simple with cheap bundles of Vietnamese herbs, boxes of sweet smelling tomatoes and a huge range of fruit and flowering plants at ridiculously low prices. Once you've loade dup your car with the weekly groceries, there's also second hand toys, clothes and books to rummage through. Best of all, you don't have to wake up too early for these markets. It goes until midday - although you may want to get their earlier to catch the bargains.

Compared to some of the other ones that I frequent more regularly, I thought the Manly FM was great for a few reasons. This is still a real market with more produce stalls than clothing/soap/etc or 'food court' style offerings. The layout is excellent, with most stalls located in a pyramid/triangle shape around a central area with live music. The location along the water front, next to the pool, and adjacent to the boat harbour allows for little side activities of your choosing. Without having planned this in advance, we left with multiple bags of food enough to get us through the week and then some. This may be my new favourite place for weekend shopping!

Check out his stall if you come across it, his animal portraits are outstanding. The markets overlook the marina and are bordered with water views on one side and restaurants and cafes on the other. They have fruit, artwork, novelty items, flowers and a host of other stalls. There are always plenty of people enjoying a morning out with their kids or dogs.

Although all the stalls have umbrellas and marquees, on a hot sunny day there's quite a lot of direct sun and it can get pretty hot. The preview reviewer got the times wrong - they run from 6am to noon. I'm glad to see a good use for the Stone's Corner area, which was previously inhabited by a few odd cafes, discount outlets and a huge amount of empty shops. These markets are pretty much like all Jan Powers Farmers Markets - if you've been to any of the other ones, you'll recognise most of the stalls. The quality of food sellers, and fresh produce is pretty high and lots of great deli products - the Eumundi Smokehouse makes amazing chicken chorizo sausages!

As Rhiannon says, the suppliers don't tend to change that much but I'm OK with that as long as I can get fresh, locally made goats cheese and snack on a kransky or 3. You pay a bit of a premium for some things, however taste and quality is extremely apparent in food so if you want a really special meal pay a little bit more. Also, I always manage to find a chinese style stall at the back with cheaper veg so I can still fulfil my bargain hunter instinct.

We stopped for breakfast at Cove Cafe and had a delicious breakfast of poached eggs but a 35min wait for our 2 coffees was ridiculous. Next time I would just go to one of the stalls for coffee as Cove did not cope well with the increased demand. There are a few things that could be improved (narrow walkways, lack of stock on many stalls, cramped stalls), and the organisers seem to be receptive to feedback on social media. As a local I will definitely be back but may give it a couple of weeks to see if the crowds die down.

The setting is quieter and has more space than some of the more urban markets, but the selection, while worthwhile, is no better than any of the others. While I found things to eat, it also didn't quite have the great spread of vegetarian options I have become accustomed to elsewhere. I'm more about the prepared food vendors, but I wasn't especially impressed with their actual vegetables, nor the other crafts. Transit-wise, it's walkable from the train stop nearby and there is a bus that runs by. If you're in the neighborhood, I'd check it out, but no reason to travel any great distance to get here.

Popcorn, fresh fish, meat, flowers, all kinds of produce, wool, ton of food trucks, live music. My friend got the Japanese pancakes and I had a bite. Very fluffy and a touch of sweetness. I had a hankering for eggs so I found a truck called Mum's Crepes mmmm mm I got a nice piping hot cheese and mushroom omelette $8 plus 1.50 per extra topping. Very neat marketplace experience. Mind you we all love food so this was the perfect spot. There were so many tents lined up and so many different vendors to choose from. It was like super farmer's market compared to what I'm used to at home in Hawai'i. We walked around for bit just eyeing out all the different food. There is definitely something for everyone here. Also, a great place to buy produce and meat. Probably for a cheaper price than you would find in a grocery store. Because we couldn't decide on one food stand we decided to get food from multiple ones lol. We got out drinks from a tea stand. We got liliko'i and mango teas. There was one stand where they were selling breaky sammies for $5 and they were huge! We got one of those and a gian samosa from an Indian vendor. The samosa was almost the size of my hand. Ain't gonna find any samosas like that in Hawai'i unless you make em yourself. We also got pork belly shish kabobs. It was a great experience and so much fun too! If you're ever in Brisbane I recommend going to Rocklea markets. Everyone just seemed so happy and excited even though it was a bit rainy that day. It was also a good place for families. My boyfriend and I will be back next time we're in Brisbane again.

Each Sunday morning i go to the Nerang Market to get my produce for the week. They have a range of…read morefruit and vegetable stalls, meat vans, bakery stalls, deli items, cupcake stalls, florists and other craft and clothing stalls. It isn't a massive market but they really pack in all the stalls. You can get some great prices usually from about 10:30am onwards when it is drawing closer to the end. If you want to get the best produce you want to get there first thing so you get first pick, you'll always be paying full prices. Make sure that you take awalk around to all the stands and have a browse at what your looking to buy and notice the prices. Then on round two you know which stalls to go to for the best prices. I have never bought all my produce from stall before only because i find there are a few different stalls they have great produce and are well priced. Some specialise in fruit some vegetables. They also have a few food tents like german sausage and dumplings. there are also cafes around and they usually have a duet doing an accoustic set. If your looking for a local farmers market, i would recommend at least going along to check it out.
