Hearing from friends that did the trip on their own, you had to get from your hotel to the bus station for the trip out to Teotihuacan. Granted the round trip via public transportation was about one half cheaper, we opted signing up for a tour from Viajes for convenience, any hassles due to language barriers and safety factor on a busy public bus. Signing up with our hotel concierge in the morning, the van picked us up at 11:30 and our hotel was the last pick-up stop. The payment was made to the tour guide. Being on tours around the world, we knew about the obligatory shopping stops. We stopped at a silver factory for about half an hour. Then we were off to the trip to Teotihuacan. The tour guide narrated in Spanish and English. We were dropped off at one of the Teotihuacan entrances and given our admission tickets and were allotted 2.5 hours for our visit. In the time, we were able to visit and walk up the Temples of the Sun and Moon and stroll the Avenue of the Dead. When we left, the tour took us to a nearby restaurant for an hour lunch and then a visit to a stone art and tequila shop for about 20 minutes. Then we headed back to the City and we were the first ones dropped off. Last in first out. That was nice. Viajes provided a nice tour to Teotihuacan, which fit our requirements given our time limitations.

We were picked up on time only to be taken to a silver shop for an hour to finish our "paperwork". Of course the guide was very interested in making sure you had time to look around and make any purchases you might want to make. We finally got on the road and got to the pyramids where we were told we had two hours to walk around! We were going to be on an eight hour tour with an hour and a half travel time total, and we get two hours to explore what we have come to see?!? We had been told there were to be at most 15 in the tour, we didn't get upset when there 20. This tour was to be in English and Spanish. So we get out of the van at the pyramids and we split up into the Spanish and English groups. Our English takes us ten yards away and gives us a brief overview of the history and description of the complex. He then went on to tell us we could go off in whichever direction we wanted! So we have our coursory UNGUIDED tour (why bother to complain when his English was atrocious and it appears I knew as much as he did from my reading a few Wikipedia articles). We got back to the bus at three by pushing it and there was only one other couple there. More showed up as the minutes passed. We travel the short distance to the other side of the pyramid complex to go to lunch. After we ate they tour guide handed us off to an employee of the restaurant who started explaining how they make mezcal and tequila. We were all angry we had been rushed through the pyramids which we had come to see, just so we could spend time having people trying to sell us cheap goods. We explained to the people who were trying to sell us junk that we were not interested and weren't going to listen, and did they get mad! They went and complained to the tour guide, he came and complained to us, and we told him to just get us back to the city. This tour company gave us the very least they could and took as much of our time as they could. The tour buses had two names on them and I STRONGLY advise you to avoid both of them. The first is "Tours Mexico City" and the second name is www.viajesmexicocity.com I have also learned they also operated under the name "Amigo Tours"

DO NOT waste your money with Mega Travel. If I could give it zero stars, I would…read more First, let me begin by saying that my comments are only about Mega Travel agency, not the countries I traveled to, nor the people I met on the tour. On the contrary, the saving grace of this trip was the countries' rich history and sites, and the people I traveled with. They were friendly, interesting, and fun to be around. If you would like to know why I gave Mega Travel a low rating, read on. My son and I recently returned from a two-week Mega Travel Turkey/Greek island trip. We paid $7000 for airfare, hotel, and bus tour (all other expenses not included), and I must say, it was not worth the money. In fact, after paying for the trip and one week before departing, I learned that the trip was reduced by two days, but the price remained the same. PLANE: The plane seats were the cheapest (back of the plane). The seats were very cramped (even for a small and thin person). Furthermore, my son and I were not seated together on both flights, which all together totaled ~16 hours. HOTEL/CABIN: The hotels and cruise ships/cabins were low-budget. The ship should have been decommissioned. Having spent years in the military, so I know how to rough it. I have also traveled on different cruise lines, but I must say, the cabins on this cruise line were worse than Army barracks. I think we might have been assigned the crew's quarters. Furthermore, the engine smells permeated throughout the ship, and the carpets were disgusting. BUS TOUR: The bus tour was a waste of money. It was clear that the tour guides took us to places where they would receive commission (or kickbacks) on our spending. For instance, they reserved time for us to stop at expensive leather, rug, and jewelry stores where the items cost thousands of dollars. They also took us to restaurants where we were served a set menu (no choices), and the food was not very good. When we stopped at these tourist trap locations, they did not rush us. On the other hand, when we stopped by historical sites or places where we could explore Turkey's and Greece's rich history, the time given was limited, and we never had enough time to enjoy the sites. TRAVEL AGENT: The travel agent my group worked with, Alfonso, was very unprofessional. He traveled with us (a group of 35 people) but never introduced himself until day 5, but then isolated himself for the rest of the trip. I do not recommend working with him. There is so much more that I can say about this, but I will save it for when I speak with the Mega Travel agency office. Bottom-line. DO NOT waste your money with Mega Travel.

I booked a tour with Mega Travel in Panama for a tour to Turkey and Dubai. At the beginning the…read morecommunication with the agent was very bad, none or late response to questions, lack of detail explanations, no clear communication about check in my group before the flights, each time we had to send reminders. Once in Turkey we stayed at 4 different hotels has we toured the country, only 1 out the 4 was in a centric location so we where basically limited to the hotel. We were not told that at the time of arrival to Istanbul that there was a religious Holiday so businesses and attraction like the Bazaar were closed for 4 days. This was never communicated to us. We paid over $3,500 for our Tour package for 14 days and spend 3 days on the road on a buss. We had a great tour guide. The Tour offered 2 meals a day, lunch was usually on the road at a restaurant that had a contract either with the guide or with Mega Travel. They serve the same meal to everyone for $15, without drinks, and refused to show us a menu so we could order a la carte, some of us skipped lunch on some days or walked to a convenient store for snacks. We saw too many Mesquites and not enough free time. The hotels were good in Turkey but secluded. Dubai hotel and location made up for all the others. Overall the United Emirates part of the Tour was better except that we had to check out of the hotel at 6:00am, go on more trips, and travel to the airport for a mid night flight.
