This is the cutes place ever. The owners are so super sweet and have a beautiful store. They have a very family friendly atmosphere. Love that my kiddo can have a birthday party there or I could have a girls night there. So very versatile. They have summer camps that they are offering for kids. Terry is vivacious and very excited to share her love for painting with anyone. Steve is so kind hearted and patient. They both have a wonderful welcoming spirit. This is the place to be for an awesome date night, family fun or even a fundraiser event. Make sure you stop on by and give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

10, 11-year old kids for a birthday party completely captivated and focused for 2 hrs! Ms. Terry is patient, provides excellent explanation and volunteers helpful suggestions for anyone feeling they need it. I had such a great time watching the kids create their artwork that I can't wait to put an adult session together for my family and friends.

Love birds, put this place on your date spot list. Parents, get ready for some quality time with the kiddos. You won't be selecting anything from your Recently Watched queue, there's no streaming video or wi-fi involved whatsoever, just something apparently referred to as the Creative Process, and I'll be damned if this stuff ain't worth a million hits of dopamine Likes. It's just good old fashioned painting and crafting, no booze involved, and I loved it. Terry and Steve own a seriously eclectic, dynamic little hole-in-the-wall on 4th, a natural reflection of their personalities; Steve's the more measured artistic type, somewhat calculated, whereas you get the feeling Terry could flip her festive Greek switch at any moment. They teach painting classes together in the back room of their paint and antique store, and recently they've been wandering into multi-media territory on the canvasses. I was a lucky guest at their first course ever, actually. I loved the intimate setting (12 people maxed the room out), the laid back less-regimented rhythm (our class ran three hours; painting classes are at least two), and I truly enjoyed my little masterpiece, a sweet lil' birdy sittin' on a branch, singin' a love song. It's going up in my daughter's bedroom, stat. As I mentioned, the place doesn't serve wine or any other booze by principle: they wish to be considered a family-friendly space, and that was evident to me as I watched the mom next to me getting her craft thing on with her unbelievably talented little girl. But this is a truly stellar place to get to know or reignite your lovely. They do private classes, too, including birthday parties for kids, and from what I hear they have a mighty fine time. I'm just thrilled this biz is yet another solid local addition to a stretch of the North Valley that, I'm convinced, will be a huge hot spot once construction makes it bike and pedestrian friendly.

This is an amazing place to come after a week of work or even just with some friends to get out of the house. The shop is incredibly welcoming and smells like gourmet coffee, hence the name, and showcases the beautiful prices she has created with people over time. Terry was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the process of painting and even took the time to help us individually when needed, which made me feel a bit more welcomed than some large classes do. I look forward to visiting Albuquerque again and making the time to come here to enjoy painting and hanging out with amazing people once again. Thank you to Terry for making this small get together that more special and a great story to tell!

I went to a fun girls night painting event. We had such a good time. We had dessert and we laughed, and we all left with beautiful paintings. I can't wait to go again. I brought my kids to one of the kids painting classes before. They had a ball and got to eat cookies and have tea while they painted. They both wish they could come every weekend. Terry and Steve are super nice and do a good job helping when you need it.

I celebrated my 30th birthday at Canvas and Coffee. I had a great time and so did all of my friends (ranging in ages from 8-60+). We all felt welcomed and supported as we created our masterpieces

Here's my painting! Switched it up a bit.

Today was my first time here, I got lucky and got myself and two others in! You need to buy your seats ahead of time, they were about $35 each but I think it was worth it. I had a really good time here and they cater coffee, tea, hot cocoa and snacks to you! The owners are very helpful and continuously come around to check if you're doing good. I recommend this place if you're looking to do some art w/ your family or kids. I'm definitely going to be coming back again.

What can I say about this fabulous place but you just need to schedule a class and come in. Terri and Steve are the owners and are fantastic hosts and artists. My family members always enjoy the evening filled with laughter, coffee and dessert. You walk in and see this outline of a picture that you'll be painting trying to figure out how in the world will it ever be hanging on the wall quality... But believe me when I say 2 hours later your masterpiece is complete and ready to hang.

That's how I understand this market got going, anyway. One of the founders reluctantly left Seattle because she had kids, and when she came back to Burque, she realized we needed an evening market. A Moonlight Market. And she didn't let the Voices tell her No. There's a sign at the sign-in desk that says something like "Don't quit your day dream." Bingo. Michelle didn't. Hence, the opening season of the Market wasn't anything spectacular. It ended just before Halloween and plans to reopen in April. It's an artist collective, say 6-8 booths, maybe a face painter, outdoors, with twinkly lights, operating Thursday through Saturday, 6-10pm. There are arts and crafts classes indoors, as well, really affordably priced. Located in the heart of the Brewery district, this Market absolutely makes sense. Here's an idea: let's get people up, outside, walking around, connecting, supporting local artists, bringing their kids, creating beautiful things. Cool. It's right next to Skarsgard Farms, and it's totally worth a moonlight stroll.

Heck, before attending an event at Painting with a Twist, I never really painted in my life even! So, trying a painting event here was completely outside of my comfort zone..and I was so glad I tried it! The space was welcoming and I loved that Barbara the teacher for my glow in the dark painting session made me and everyone feel comfortable. Never even once did I ever feel like I was so bad at painting! The instructions were easy enough for me to roughly follow..and I loved that Barbara left a lot of room for us to do things on our own and not have to follow her guidances at all if we don't want. Heck, if any one of us decided we wanted to paint something else on our own..she said it would be ok, too! I loved that the 2.5-3 hours sessions went by fast! It was a friendly, easy going session and just a fun thing to do..something new to try if you never been to one for sure. Try attending an event at Painting with a Twist out if you never tried it! For a price of around $40...you get a few hours of fun event to attend..to try out some of your artistic skills...and..the best thing..your painting from an event to go home with you, too! After attending this event, I would definitely love to explore and attend more events there for sure. For events like..paint your pet portrait, for example was super interesting and an attractive option for me to check out as my next class!

I reserved the whole place for our group which made it even nicer. On top of bringing our own snacks, we had food delivered to us from the pizza restaurant in Old Town. Then, while we waited for our candles to set, we went down and had ice cream. It was a fun and easy way to have a party. Everyone we interacted with from the Enchanted Wik was really nice and helpful. The thing that was the hardest was choosing the scents we wanted for our candles! There were soooo many choices! Plus, we were encouraged to mix and match scents to our liking! That made it even more interesting as we all liked checking out the combinations that the rest of our party came up with! My scents were lemon, two types of evergreen, and oud wood. Love how it turned out. The only improvement I'd suggest is to be more flexible with the minimum number of candles needed to book a party. We were a party of 8, but needed to make a minimum of 10 candles. It was an awkward position to be placed in. How could we fairly choose which two people could make the extra candles? It would have been easier to have a minimum price since I could have just told everyone to make the larger candles to meet the minimum price requirement. If I was still under, I could have purchased some other items in the store.
