Scott is an honest and good man. We have a view of the mountains on the backside of the house and a…read morelot of growth started to narrow the view, but we also wanted to expand the view. Scott came out one day to take a look and we discussed the plan and rates. This house is new to us, so I was not familiar with normal rates for this kind of work. Scott and I came to final agreement, and he was ready to have his men come out and begin work the next day. The men were also very polite, Austin, Wilmer, and Victor were the ones I spoke with the most, but there were a few others and all of them were polite and very hard working. If they found they had climbed 30 ft up the wrong tree, they would climb back down and do it right (as it goes out, it becomes more difficult to locate the proper tree from the base). A woman I work with has a close friend who cuts trees, and I sent her the before pictures with lines drawn of where Scott and his crew did work along with the number of trees estimated, asking if he could give a rough estimate, and while he said that he would need to come out and look at the property more closely to give a more accurate one, his price was almost double Scotts price. It was a good sign that Scott gave honest prices and he does honest work. At the end of the job, I had my own before and after pictures and the difference was PHENOMENAL. Scotts men stayed late the second day (they did A LOT of work for just 2 days time, these guys are good) and Austin was directing the others to perfect the final touches. The amount of care these guys have for their work is impressive. They had a mission more than a contract; the mission was to make me, the customer, happy - and they couldn't have done a better job. Scott is going to remain as the man for all my tree work until we sell this place or he retires because I know I can trust him. Tree cutting/trimming is expensive no matter who you go to, but with Scott I got a truly fair (if not better than market) price, and he really cared about doing an honest job.
