All-you-can-eat BBQ and buffet, close to nature, and popular with groups that have something to celebrate. Open only on weekends and holidays. Reservations are mandatory.
The food is served buffet style mostly in comida mineira style. Some of the food was not placed on the heating elements and thus cold. Come early to avoid the long lines for the BBQ. When we were there (around 200 guests total I'd guess) they roasted a full pig and a huge each of cow ribs in addition to the regular BBQ fare. Food and deserts are nicely done overall.
For kids there are some play activities (e.g., bouncing castle), but not very many. There's also a horse-drawn carriage making loops on the premises. Depending on age, kids will like this.
Access is fine (15 minutes over a dirt road) and pretty close to Belo, on the Contagem side. It's not a great deal necessarily (pricey beverages, couvert) but if you're with young kids who eat for free it's worth it. read more
