I was totally scammed by Taaffe. The interview was not even accurate once written and the ad I was supposedly buying didn't exist. I contacted her monthly for a year stating I had not received ANY Calls, Contact , emailed nothing from this add I've never had a zero result add before as per her words "The ad will pay for itself. If it doesn't I will refund your money" Now that the year is up she told me the company was sold to a NY company and will not respond to any calls I'm am taking legal actions against this complete fraud read more

I have been dealing with this company now going on 5 years. I have gotten some very nice results and maintained some very good long standing clients from my ads. Taaffe has always been accommodating, professional and on the ball. She has gone, on several occasions, above what one would expect in placing these ads to make sure I was happy.. Yes, I also made the BIG mistake of placing an Ad in one of Canoco's publications. Ms. Taaffe O'Connell very quickly took my credit card payment for $900. At the top of my contract she wrote" guarantee that I will get clients from my AD or she would "rebate monies" Well, it has been one year and NOT ONE PHONE CALL OR LEED OR CLIENT WAS EVER GENERATED FROM THE AD I PLACED. When I attempt to contact or email her now, she will not respond. I even sent certified letters w/return receipt. I tracked the letters and indeed they did make it to her office but she evidently did not sign, since I never received the receipt back. I should have NEVER given Ms. O,Connell my credit card payment as she is not honest and gives empty promises and false guarantees. read more

Just at her reviews and read Hallie L.'s review from 2013, and its unfortunate to say that nothing has changed about how Taaffe O'Connell works in 2016. She totally pulled the same number on us, accepting our payment with a handwritten promise to reimburse monies, and of course completely disappeared. I got scammed out of my money exactly like the other two people. Taaffe O'Connell is a con artist. Even though this site shows Canoco Publishing is closed, she is still running her business under it. She came to my office in October, interviewed me, got the money and left. She drafted a version of the interview that was poorly written and that was it. No publication, no advertising, nothing and of course she is no where to be found. I filed a fraud report with WLA Police Department, called my local FBI office and gave a full report on her and also made a complaint with BBB. read more

I have now been doing business with Taaffe and her Team for over Ten years--and it just keeps getting BETTER. They are so INCREDIBLE and HARD WORKING! They have now been asked to do "TOP 10'S" and what a BOON this is for those selected! I referred her a couple of folks and they are thoroughly satisfied!!! Because they understand marketing, they have quickly put their TOP 10 recognition on their websites, in their Blogs and all their promotional materials. They pulled quotes from Taaffe's outstandingly supportive articles and did the same with them. People are even getting BEAUTIFUL PLAQUES of RECOGNITION now! If you are ready to "get yourself out there" and pull away from the pack this is absolutely the BEST WAY TO GO! I believe that the old negative reviews(some of them are over SIX YEARS OLD and OLDER!!!) must have been put up to this by competitors or are simply JEALOUS of an extremely Hard Working woman and her tireless team!!!!! Never support this business. Never advertise in any of Canoco Publications. If you do, make sure you're savvy enough to get a thorough and iron clad contract! I made the mistake of advertising my healing business with Canoco and set up a payment plan for the service. I was required to write the total amount of the advertising divided into a number of checks. I should have known there was a problem once all the checks were deposited at the same time even though they were postdated. Having a new practice I felt that Taffe's guarantee to get response from the ad or my money back was a good bet. I was naive and too trusting. Once I got a copy of the magazine and saw how unprofessional and poorly executed it was, again, should have raised a red flag for me... but alas, I was confident in Ms. O'Connel and her seemingly honest demeanor. A long story short, not a single response from the ad did I receive. When I reviewed my contract I realized that though a "guarantee" was noted, it had no details congruent with what Ms. O'Connel verbally promised me. When I called to talk to her I only got voice mail, and I called several times. I also emailed but again, I got no response. I had no recourse but to report her and Canoco to the Better Business Bureau which was stated they were a part of. Still, I received no response, no even a courtesy call to say that I was out of luck. I see on the BBB site, there have been a number of complaints about Canoco about similar situations and without any response. So I urge whoever is thinking of working with Taffe O'Connel and Canoco Publishing to learn from my very expensive mistakes: DON'T ADVERTISE WITH OR SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS IN ANY WAY. They ripped me off too! I paid $995 for an ad that took months to come out, never got any call backs and their office is run from an apartment. THey claimed to have heard about me in a movie trailor (which i believed because I have a few clients who work in the movie business). WHen I asked my clients they said that they had not talked to anyone, let alone a reporter. read more
