For The Lindy West Apartments: I called multiple times and never got anyone to pick up the phone. When I finally got an email response, the manager was cold and impersonal -- not a good impression. I then asked for pictures of a unit, which the manager said had recently been vacated. When I finally heard back, the manager said there would be no pictures or chance of touring the unit or a show unit. What a great thing to tell prospective tenants who have PAID their application fees. AVOID these apartments at all costs. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. This company is horrific! We had a great experience in the property we rented. We were great tenants, always paid our rent on time and abided by all rules. Upon move out, there was a balance due and we received a bill. We mailed in the check and went about our lives. Cannon Management lost our check and proceeded to place us in collections. My husband and I have have excellent credit! Because we pay our bills. Beware!!! This company sends one bill, there will be no further contact from this company!! Make sure your check clears!!! Or your too will be placed in collections after their single attempt to collect. I called the office and spoke to Nancy who told me how do we even know if you mailed the check...well Nancy 106 isn't something I would try to get my self in collections over. It wasn't as if we owed back rent. So after being model renters this is how your treated!! No customer service!!! No recourse! Just oh well! I will never rent from this management company EVER again! Just horrible! UPDATE: Here we are more than THREE months later and just what they "found" the check they lost and put me in collections over. How do I know? Because they sent a letter asking how to apply it to my account. I paid the first collection notice. Thank you for believing your customer, all I got was a sarcastic response from your inept office manager...hence your one star rating. If I could I would give a negative star rating. Your management staff is TERRIBLE!! Anytime I need management to fix or resolve an issue in my apartment they give attitude like I'm inconveniencing them, is this not your job?? They never answer the phone. My water has been cloudy and not getting hot the last few months and it literally takes management DAYS to fix it excuse me rig it up to work. My water will be hot for a day and then back cold and then I have to wait DAYSSS to get in contact with someone to get it fix. Because they never answer the phone I have to get up and go all the way to the office that's always locked or the "out to lunch sign" is up and they make you go to the back window which they rarely answer. They cut the water off for "repairs" every month. The entrance gate takes forever to open, they allow tow companies to be sneaky and tow paying tenants cars away. I've had my laundry stolen from the laundry room. Speaking of laundry rooms they barely work nothing sucks more than waiting an hour for your laundry to dry just to find out the dryers aren't even blowing hot air The fitness center is a joke. Security is not visible. There have been times I've seen homeless men walking around the apartments or digging in dumpsters. As a female who walks her dog around the complex that's terrifying. Only thing consistent around these parts is the rent increase. They will definitely make time to send out those notices. read more

"RENTER BEWARE" ILLEGAL and DANGEROUS Slum Lord Millionaire. Rent is TOO Expensive for Poor Conditions of the building and inside your apartment. They Do Not Re-key thr door locks after someone moves out.The keys you receive at move in, are the same keys the previous tenant had and the tenants previous to them. My neighbor got keys that were the previous tenants personal keys. He knows the previous occupants and they said those were the same keys they got when they moved in. This is Very Illegal and extremely Unsafe Cannon Mgmt Allows this practice. They use old and rebuilt parts in your bathroom and the kitchen that continually leak then break. My kitchen faucet spout and knobs have been repaired seven times. Why can't they just put in a new faucet?. The Pool and jacuzzi Do Not have lights. Very Dangerous and Illegal especially at night. They do not use licensed contractors for Electrical or Plumbing and are always repairing the repairs. The fence in the parking lot has been broken down for years and the homeless come in and break in our cars and roam inside the building. We complain about our safety, Cannon mgmt does nothing. The Tennis courts are complete Trash. Cockroaches are a Big problem. The corredor hallway walls or ceilings leaking and are always torn open. Every 2 years there is a new manager. Says alot when the managers don't want to manage or live in the building. Cannon Mgt. only care about the $$ they can get. read more

Everything was great while living at the Summer Breeze Apartments in Temecula. Other than some crappy roommates, I had some of my best memories living at these apartments. However, once the COVID-19 Pandemic hit I was laid-off from my job in Murrieta. Canon Management DID NOT understand my situation and proceeded to charge me & my roommates with the remaining 6 months of rent. This was detrimental to my bank account & prevented me from saving any of the money I had accrued for unemployment during my time in Temecula/Murrieta. Canon Management is literally Satan (The Devil) in disguise. How could you charge a 24-year-old rent when you know that 44 Million + people had filed for unemployment due to a GLOBAL PANDEMIC?! The LEAST they could have done is let us end the lease sooner due to the events going on around the entire world. I will never stay at another Canon Management "Managed" property for as long as I live. DO NOT send your children here & I recommend not staying here unless you know for sure that your job/career is 100% secured throughout the duration of your lease agreement. Canon Management does NOT care about their tenants & they will NOT accommodate you even during a GLOBAL VIRUS OUTBREAK. Take it from someone who actually experienced it 1st Hand. This company manages the apartments I live in...and the service here is horrible...pool is always closed for "maintenance" , laundry rooms are 20 year old units, half of them are always broken, playground is old and falling apart with broken wood and rusted play center, but yet every year rent just keeps on rising. Can't wait till this lease is up...friends have a mortgage at this rent pricing...horrible...won't recommend anyone read more

We lived in a PUD managed (or lack of) by Cannon. The moronic actions we dealt with would fill a book. Example: our next door neighbor had a sewer backup in his house. It wasn't a PUD issue, it was a construction problem between 2 cities. Cannon didn't lift a finger . My neighbors were all on their own. They (with his elderly mom) had to relocate for 6 weeks. Again, that's only 1 . Our lasting issue is insane. We sold our home moving out 2/1 and escrow closes 2/15 ( moving truck and all). We had to pay cannon to give us their transfer of property paperwork. Now 4/20: We have received 2 letters telling us to fix our landscape or be fined. They also contacted our realtor. After letter one in March, we emailed them that we moved. They responded acknowledging that fact. Omg....We have moved on, wish they would too. read more

This is for the Lindy West Apartment. First of all I pay $1325 to be living an apartment infested with cockroaches. Bought ALL brand new furniture and spent thousands of dollars now it is all wasted. I just moved here in November and I would have to move again. I wish I never moved here and the management is the worst. My license plates were stolen while being parked in the carport and then my keys were stolen, then my car broken. This is NOT a safe community to live in. The gates are never even locked. They give you gate keys that don't even work. The heater doesn't work. The water is milky and has calcium. The cupboards are broken and painted with cheap materials I have sent several emails to the assistant manager and manager regarding all my issues and they are still not resolved. read more

I get that COVID is making things challenging but there is NO reason the pools have to be closed at this time. As I write this it is 107 degrees out and rising at 154 pm. It's not difficult to put up a sign limiting the pool capacity and since the management office is right next to the pools it can be easily monitored. Also, if it's lawsuits you are worried about have us all sign a waiver in order to allow use. Also, when all the amenities are closed why has our rent not been reduced? If you aren't going to open stuff even though it's perfectly legal to do so then we shouldn't be charged as if we have access to them. read more

This company is below average in customer service. I was rushed off the phone today after speaking to Leah regarding the property manager at their sub par complex Portofino in Temecula. There are several complaints regarding the property and property manager at Portofino and I have a very valid complaint but after playing phone tag for several days, I finally received a call back from Leah but She could have cared less about my complaint and acted like she had something better to do than to listen to my valid complaint. My overall experience with the complex Leah supposedly is in charge of plus the actual property manager, Penny Baxter has made me disgusted with the way they conduct business. Myself and roommate both unfortunately lost our jobs due to covid, and portofino in particular decided to charge us an extra month of rent on top of the move out fees. I have lived in the Woodmere Apartment Homes for three years and Sharon and her team are outstanding! They response time is remarkable, and she is always so friendly. I leave for work when the maintenance guys are just getting started and I love starting my day with a "Hello Friend, Have a great day!" that I get from the head maintenance guy. Is you ever have to live in a community that has on site management, you know it isn't always pleasant, but the team has made it a delight. read more

Facilities: beautiful, cleanly; maintenance: responsive, friendly; "HOA" fees (minimal, but really just the facility outside) put to great use, price: very fair/competitive! My mailman knows me by name, our maintenance guys are responsive and super friendly, and there are always people out by the pool taking in sun or enjoying the amenities and hot tubs. Love the coffee and water up front at any time, as well. They're also generally very dog-friendly, which is fun to see because I'm a former dog-owner, and I definitely miss that myself. Oh yea, and they really keep the site up to speed in terms of updating appliances, toilets, solar-power access, and so on. They also will have scattered community events at the front office building for their residents, which are a lot of fun and very thoughtful. Throughout our stay, the gates have been inoperative for probably 60% of the time, but to be fair I never really feel unsafe here. It would also be interesting to see if they could do something with the booth at the front, because it's never been used. Unfortunately, I have seen a lot of turnover with their staff and site-managers, which is sometimes a bit difficult because it's hard to maintain relationships when we lose that familiarity. But that being said, I must say, there was a concern my wife and I had towards the end of our tenancy for nearly 3 years, but the front office was very considerate and respectful, and it was addressed and resolved fairly quickly. We are both very pleased and appreciative of the professional courtesy that they displayed in our interactions. So at the end of the day, all this being said, we are parting ways on positive, good terms. Edwin is the site manager right now, and I have nothing but pleasant interactions with him. We will miss making a home here for so many years, but we can definitely say that it has been a great experience! Thank you Enclave! read more

Cannon management recently purchased Presidio Park Apartments in Cathedral City. The team that they have working on the property is absolutely amazing!! I had issues in my apartment that no previous manager had ever taken care of in the 18 months I had lived there. Once Sergio, Tanya & Gabriel took over my issues we're taken care of immediately!!! And any issue small or large that I have had since then they are quick to take care of it!! I am so happy to live in a place where management & maintenance are on top of their game!!! I lived at The Lindy Apartments near UCR while I attended the University. Housing was full and I really needed a place. Thankfully they were able to help me out. It was an easy process to move in and I lived there for 2 years while I finished up my degree in Psychology. I would absolutely recommend anyone & everyone to live in a Canon managed property. Not having to worry about housing was a big relief and maintenance issues were handled quickly. Simply a great experience all around. read more

Overall we had a great experience with Cannon; we moved out recently and bought a house when my wife and I welcomed our first little one but previously we lived in 2 different Cannon properties after we got married, first in Rancho and then in Riverside. Review do not lie...it's very difficult to get a hold of these people or a response to a email. Do not leave it up to the receptionist Natally to help in anyway. She's full of attitude you can clearly hear it in her tone. I have called many times for two days all I get is forward to a voicemail. To see if someone can respond to my email sent about a week ago! Called Thursday 3x am afternoon and evening. Natally stated I have 24hrs for a response. Friday Morning at 8:06am asked to speak with Cleo a corporate manager I believe. Natally response " we just opened" lol wow! Operations hours should be ready to assist any client or customer if those are your business hours. Called back at 3pm. She stated "Cleo said he spoke to you" i didn't receive a call or email from anyone regarding my issue with one of their properties. So I asked for his supervisor name and how I can reach her. She gave me a contact email. As I asked her to repeat it. She says " oh my god!" Clearly she annoyed with me and all my calls in hopes to speak with someone. I had to let her know! " look Natally! I understand you may be annoyed with all my questions & calls! But you get to sleep at Night comfortably! While my children don't! Because someone tried to brake in their bedroom. So now! We can not sleep comfortable nor do we feel safe in place they once thought was home! So I would appreciate if you have patience with me. So I can get some help or a simple response!" I proved to them they never called !! I showed them my incoming and out going call list ! They said I was approved for an apartment the day before I was to move in they said they needed more paperwork??? But never called to say they needed more ! Norma was anything but polite ... Her attitude was call corporate... She wasn't aware we could hear her talking ! She had a horrible attitude ... In my opion she needs to be unemployed ! As the owner of a corporation ... This management deserves no star! My husband and I moved into Dakota Apartment last April when it was still under Fairfield. Everything was so easy and the garden was beautiful and well-maintained..all changed after Cannon took over couple of months later. We no longer have gardens with flowers, instead, we have swamps full of mold and weed. The landscape guys come to blow off the leaves on Mondays and chop off everything once a month. No beauty AT ALL!! Now it's getting hotter, all the mosquitoes start to occupy around the bushes, so we asked the pest-control guys about the spray. Guess what? We pay $4 every month for the pest control, and mosquitoes are not in the condition! Let along they raise the rent for $ 50 every year , without actually maintaining the property. By the way, forget about pay your rent online. You have to go to the bank every month to get your cashier check. Good luck to all the tenants and seriously I'll never consider this management in the future and definitely will not recommend anyone to rent their apartments. read more

I've had several issues here including being cursed out and threatened by neighbors and refusal to open the pool under eligible guidelines during Covid. She condemns me with rude, foolhardy attitude and has never once supported my family's needs for safety and rights to shared space. I love living at one of your apartment complexes, but the closing of the pools and Jacuzzi is difficult to handle during these hot days. My neighbors feel the same way. I have friends that live in Palm Desert and their pools are finally open. Why can't ours be open with limited occupancy? The pools are listed on the website as residents amenities yet I'm told they are not amenities. What can we do to get the pools open? If you need volunteers to manage during the pandemic, I'm sure I can find some tenants, including myself who will help. read more

The staff they have at stonewood is rude, unkind and have no answers for anything anytime you ask them for an explanation they refer to the manager Claudia who is never there who always gives them crap information and ignores and brushes the tenants safety off!!!! Poor poor quality management of our complex!! We have gate remotes for gates that never close that we had to buy for $50 each !!! We were forced to live two days with a dangling ceiling fan in kitchen because Claudia couldn't get her staff to respond she claimed while Responding to the office staff that had to call her of course !!! Almost a full month has gone by and I have not received any of the documentation I requested regarding the charges taken from our deposit. After my 3rd phone call I received an email from Mr. VanDaele stating- "I have reviewed your move out charges and after careful review of the file consideration, I'm informing you that the charges will stand as they currently are. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, but at this time I will consider this matter closed. Thanks and have a great day." I DO NOT consider this matter closed, in fact, I still consider it to be a huge issue and have been attempting to reach a compromise for almost a month now. They have provided ZERO proof of receipts for the charges that are being tacked on to the move out. They REFUSE to provide an email address/contact information for the supervisor above Mr. VanDaele and instead said I have to wait for her to contact me. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of professionalism within this company and will continue to press this matter as long as necessary. I strongly recommend that no one ever rent from a Cannon Management property. read more

I got a violation letter for installing a satellite dish without obtaining Architectural Committee approval. Okay...the dish has been there for FIVE years, and suddenly it's a problem? Half the houses on the block have satellite dishes. I'm guessing they all got letters, too. What a colossal waste of time. read more

Cannon Property Management specializes in shady business practices and stealing money from their tenants. More specifically their property M Sole'. The rental office claimed that they did not take personal checks, so they instead they were given a money order. They gladly accepted the money order, but also cashed the personal check! They stole $2000! And now they refuse to give it back. DO NOT LEASE WITH THEM! read more

I've called EASILY 30 times just to ask about the 5 months of construction that has been going on above my head (with no end in site... on a 1 bedroom apt somehow...) IF you're lucky enough to get someone to actually answer the phone, the "person who's responsible of this property" is never in, and never, ever returns calls when a message is left. I've actually had a few times I've called and they didn't even know villas at flamingo was one of their properties . Absolute joke. When I ask the property manager that lives on site about anything she pretends like she's not the property manager lol. Literally the craziest thing ive ever seen.. but god forbid ur a big enough jerk to do something like order a package from Amazon. Then they immediately know who u are and start sending u letters threatening fines about the package left out during the day while youre at work... so packages are a no go, but the graffiti that's been on the shed for 5 years isn't an issue... absolute joke. This review is for Lindy west apartments. The management is absolutely rude and unprofessional in speaking to you. They say they will fix things but they take weeks even months because they do not consider it an "emergency" so they get to it whenever they want. Our garbage disposal was clogged for 2 and a half weeks, it smelled like someone died in our apartment and they still said we just had to wait. The stench was there for 2 and a half weeks! They changed the gate locks and didn't believe me when I said that they were different keys therefore we needed new copies. I have been frustrated since the first month I moved in, I would never recommend this apartment to anyone. read more

This company has the worse business practice ever. They try to hook people with their month to month no contract scam. I lived in one of their properties in Riverside a few eyars ago and regret it more than anything. The only bad mark I have on my credit is from this company. I let the management know I was leaving a month and a half prior to my move out. They acted like everything was cool then I got a collection agency that started bothering me on a regular basis. When I contacted Canyon Management they refused to talk to me and just continued sending me to the collections people with little to no explanation. Then the collection company claims they aren't a collection company and they are a company w/ set assignments. Total B.S. These people are ridiculous, I have no idea how they are even still in business. To start I have lived at Hilltop "luxury" apartments for 4 years now only because at the moment we haven't been in the right position to move but I'm beginning to wish I lived in a box compared to this place. At my location the manager has changed 4 times since I moved in and the staff is completely different month to month. The only good part about this place is the views on the right side of the complex and the maintenance man. Everything else is a joke. The "luxury amenities" are better at a 1star hotel then this place. The gym lights are always out and never fixed until we call to tell them even though they installed a camera in their a while ago to keep and eye on equipment. Pretty sure they fired the cleaning lady because the bathroom seldom has toilet paper or hand napkins and Both the gym itself and the bathroom wreak all the time. The fire pit has been used once as a fire pit since I moved here and was told that it didn't work because someone put it in upside down and it fills with water when it rains, it's been four years and they still haven't fixed it?! They have caution tape around it right now and have for the last 6 months or so. The pool oh geeze! Aside from the fact the pool is randomly closed several days out of the year or your key just won't work or the gates lock at 9:15 on all four doors even though the pool closes at 10 or that the jacuzzi is constantly broken without notice of any kind stating so but TONIGHT; Tonight, the doors to the gate are chained?! It was 90+ degrees here today and is still hot at 9oclock at night and the doors are CHAINED closed not just gates locked but someone has burned a hole in either side of each of the four gates and chained them closed!! On the hottest day of the year so far! Are you kidding me? No notice of any kind explaining the action either! If that were the only thing wrong with this place my complaints would seem petty so let me continue, the gate to our looooovely gated community is also rarely working. it is either broken to which residents can't get it because the code box isn't working and you have to wait for someone to come out and go in through the exit or park on the curb which isn't safe since there have been several instances of smashed cars as well as the entire gate box being smashed into. If not the code box it's the gates themselves that are simply stuck open allowing anyone who feels like it to enter our esteemed complex. All of these things understandable if I didn't pay nearly $1500 to live in a two bedroom and my neighbors pays $1800 to to live in a three bedroom! Seriously if all of us are paying that much to live in luxury why the hell do I have to worry about being able to get into my own complex when I get home form work at 10oclock at night?! Now lets talk about parking. They own a very large area of land to the left of our complex and block it off telling people not to park near there and yet there are 20-30 cars on the street every night because all of the spaces inside are taken up. My family lives here meaning we definitely have more then one car which they should expect when renting two and three bedroom apartments especially when you need to have 6 people livening with you to afford it here. Build more parking spaces we pay you enough to do so! Since I'm going on about how much we pay let's discuss that. After 3 years living here two uncontracted they decided to raise our rent $125, then after less than a year we get a notice telling us if we don't sign a contract our rent will go up another $100 if we do it will only go up $75. We call canon management and tell them we have been renting here for four years they are now trying to charge us more then what they start renting this place out for ($1400 we now pay $1450) we only wanted to stay until September paying what we were ($1375 which sucked already) was there anyway they could not raise our rent out of the blue for no reason. They lady told us theres nothing we can do, costs go up rent goes up. Except we asked neighbors and the only people who's rent went up (whether signing a new lease or not) were the people currently on month to month. So here we are having signed a 3month lease paying $75 more then the ridiculous price we already payed after having lived here as great tenants with no issues ever for the past four years. Great right?! The people that live here pay way too much money to this place for everything to be as crappy as it is all the time and for canon management to not care about anything but their bottom line is despicable. You run a business based one serving other people and all they do is serve their bank accounts. If you can beware Hilltop in Murrieta California and all of canon management, definitely not worth your hard earned money. read more
