I was recently informed of abuse allegations of pets at this facility. Unfortunately I know too well about wat can happen if staff is improperly trained or short staffed to protect your pet. Last October my 4 month puppy was attacked by group of dogs while outdoors in yard there. He suffered bruises internally and had to have staples in shoulder from bites to his body! I was devastated and so up upset and my puppy was traumatized. I was a client there for over 15 years and nothing was offered to cover over $500 vet bill. Absolutely horrific treatment of dogs. Staff are negligent; constantly on their phones and dismissing the dogs by yelling at them, all while they refuse to let the dogs outside to relieve themselves, which naturally causes accidents inside.. that the dogs are yelled at for again. When confronted, the business owner becomes rude and denies all allegations... then employees leave their OWN 5 Star reviews to try and balance the influx of negative feedback caused by their own horrendous behavior. The company has a live feed showing where dogs are during day. I witnessed an employee strike two dogs. I went to pull my dog out of daycare and attempted to have a civil conversation as to why my dog would no longer be attending. Chris, who is the manager, immediately called me a liar and that his employees "don't hit dogs". I gave him the time stamp around the time of the event and he refused to pull it up on the cameras. He then went to tell me to "get my dog and get out". After, he would talk about me/about the situation as he walked away from me but never talk to me until I called him out on it, to which he said I called him an asshole and asked "is there a problem disciplining a dog?". No, discipline is fine, hitting a dog is not. By the end of the conversation, profanities were traded. read more

My dog is a very nervous large dog and has been going here for about a year factoring in a Covid break. I LOVED Chris who welcomed us each time. She really let us know how he was doing and worked with us to get him comfortable there. I was extremely happy when we came back after his Covid break that they told me he was doing really well-which from what I could see on camera I thought so as well overall. Chris has scaled back her hours, there's a new manager and they have pointed out they are short staffed and extremely busy finally after Covid. They have been hiring. Suddenly my dog didn't want to join the other dogs outside out of the blue this week. He didn't even want to stay. I noticed the large amount of dogs there this time and also asked about new staff. I was told on the phone that no-there was an average number of dogs there and no new staff. Upon picking him up-the owner told me yes they had a lot of dogs there and new staff. I thought he was just overwhelmed with the newness and it would take time. She told me he was always like this -every single visit. I stated I have been told each week he was doing good. She said she was afraid of that and that one employee (she named Chris) tells everyone their dog is doing well because she's a people pleaser. Well the manager Michelle said he did well each time and the new girl I assumed was training for the front also told me just last week. So who's lying? All of them? I'm extremely confused and mad at the thought my dog wasn't doing well all this time and they possibly lied to me. Also for the fact that she stated he can only go once a week if WE really want him too because he's too big to handle (he wouldn't move outside this day-he's not mean he just stands still with al his force). They clearly had no patience any longer or understanding and didn't care. They went from being the best place in my eyes to now being non caring and clearly not informative -at least truthfully as to what's going on. Not going back and wouldn't recommend to anyone now. read more

I have been taking my dog Ruby to Canines Unleashed three times per week for the past seven years. The staff there has always been professional and caring. The facility is enormous, clean and well staffed. Ruby definitely gets a lot of exercise when she is there, as she is often tired out after 12 hours of play each day she goes. She's now nearly 8 years old and still has the body condition of an athlete. Thank you for taking such great care of her! I would never consider taking her anywhere else. read more

I was told I could not come back because my dog - the sweetest, most playful dog in the world whom everyone LOVES was barking in other dog's faces aggressively, and then they proceeded to kennel her all day long. We've taken my dog to the local dog park and around other animals many, MANY times and have never had a problem; I don't believe I can trust these people or their word.. Hi i use to take 2 of my dogs to Canines Unleashed until what I walked into yesterday. Canines does overnight doggy daycare new years eve & my fiancé & I brought both our dogs dec 31 2011. We dropped them off between 330 & 4pm & when my fiancé picked up my dogs yesterday Jan 1st around 1030 / 11 am my one dog Meatloaf ( pug ) had a bandage on his ear & dog diaper on his head. So they tell my fiancé as soon as Meatloaf was dropped off he was picking fights with other dogs & got in a fight & dog bit his ear. They bandaged the injured ear & told my fiancé it keeps bleeding when he shakes his head. Ok let's back up my dog gets hurt & we receive no phonecall to notify us of his injury? Just like a child in daycare something happens to the child you notify the parent. I pay this business to watch my animals & trust them that something goes wrong we are gonna be notified. Nope my dog Meatloaf had part of his ear completely bitten off & nothing was done to comfort him or help his pain. 18 hours went by & we were never called. So we were at emergency animal hospital yesterday 5 hours & when the dr took off the little bandage I saw with my own eyes part of my dogs ear was completely gone, & it was still bleeding. My little pug was obviously in alot of pain & was very uncomfortable. He was treated given antibiotics & pain meds. That cost was a arm & leg. Meatloaf was so traumatized when we came home he refused to eat & couldn't go to the bathroom. We had to bring him back to the emergency room at 1am cause he was shaking so bad. Wow thanks Canines Unleashed! So I called their business today & asked to speak to whoever is in charge she didn't even want to talk to me & gave the phone to who was there 2 nights ago. She tells me Meatloaf was picking fights & he had a cut on his ear & was not in pain. I lost it at this point & yelled a part of my dogs ear was completely bitten off & you don't think he's in pain? I asked this woman why we weren't notified of his injury, & her response I'm sorry I don't know what you want me to do. We didn't call because we wanted you to have a good time. This whole situation discusts me & I get the feeling they feel my dog was being a brat & he deserved it. I did not receive a sincere apology & I will never ever bring back my dogs to that place they call " daycare " for dogs when obviously they aren't being watched all the time or cared for. Remember this if you think about taking your dogs there, part of my dogs ear was bitten off, he was there 18 hours not treated & we the owners weren't notified. I've brought my dog here many times. The staff are all great with the dogs, and my dog is tuckered out by the end of the day. My dog can't wait to get in there and hates to leave when I come to get her. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. Everything that Emily B. says in her review is absolutely true. I worked there for exactly three days before I was let go. The reason, I petted too many dogs. I can't help it if I love all dogs. The owner has cameras in every room so she can spy on everyone. That's why the high turnover rate. The reason she left the corporate world was that she was not qualified. She still isn't. The dogs just run around and if they bark too much or play too much with other dogs, they are punished by being put in cages. I was there and saw it all. read more
