They only have two rooms available, one is larger than the other and has small balcony with a bbq. From what the owner tells me they have very long ties to the island dating back to the mid-1960's. It's a very humble place to stay. Again, this is a no frills joint, don't expect 5 star by no means, but the experience is what to expect on this island. And, the wonderful couple in the apartment right next to me were so cool. We went out to the restaurants, rode bikes all day and toured all bar scene right in the downtown area where this apartment is located. The best thing is that it is all within walking distance to everything downtown. Literally blocks from every possible amenity imaginable. It's safe and secure and the owner will even tell you all the little secrets of the island. Boy is he a wealth of knowledge! It's like talking to old school cowboy with every story in the book. He was a great dude for sure. I really enjoyed my experience and it was every bit of what I expected.

Pure MareAzul is a high end condo complex located beach front Playa Del Carmen... Be warned its VERY private and secluded but we rented a little car that made us moving to/from Downtown Playa del Carmen in no more than 10 minutes. Our 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath, LR, Kitchenette, Dinning room, private laggon "pool", included free breakfast everyday during our stay... Staff is great, honest, room service included.... No issues whatsoever.. Reservation is very strange, I get the feeling that renting out the condos was an afterthought an no formal website will be established.. that being said I did everything through fax and even emailed my CC info... I took a chance and It worked out... All was great, the complex is so peaceful and beautiful... Very family friendly... The pool is the biggest I have ever seen, you can bring drink and snacks with you.. no stink eye... I am coming back and bringing more family with me!

The apartment has two hot tub one on the rooftop with great view. The rooftop has a nice bar too. There is also a swimming pool located in an quite and relaxing area. We had some issues with how the property is managed-not enough towels, very old barely working kitchen appliances. But, the real problem came after we left!!! The owner, Luca filed a claim about a week after. Stating that we had broken the plate that was in the microwave (this plate was severely damaged when we arrived-had glass missing and a huge burn hole which caused it to break) and that we had damaged several towels. We told him there was one towel that was damaged due to our son cutting his finger and not rinsing the towel and that we would absolutely pay him back for the one towel. That was not good enough for him-he continued to say there were multiple towels damaged and tried to get us to replace the plate that was already damaged when we arrived. I pointed out to him that there were many other negative reviews about his property and him making false claims against people. He said that those reviews were for the previous owner. I told him that his name was mentioned in the reviews and of course he had no response for that. We fought the claim and TripAdvisor ended up siding with us. This Owner is a crook and has no integrity or respect for his guests. He doesnt understand that his petty claims ruin people's vacation memories and he obviously doesnt care about the impact that this will have on the reviews of his house. Each room has a private hot tub/jacuzzi on the balcony, which is heated and perfect for the winter months when the ocean or pools are a little cooler - or especially for taking a relaxing dip in the evening after dinner. The property is safe and secure, and just a little ways from the Tulum center. We had a rental car and parking there was much more convenient than being a few blocks closer in town with street parking. And for the quality of accomodations, the priced were very reasonable.

I enjoyed intima for many reasons, but I want to highlight native tulum just outside the resort. We were not used to huts and such an active night neighborhood and once we experienced it, we were sold! I think the drive in can be intimidating if you are not open to learning more about the city, and this is what made the location of the resort so amazing. The whole resort was very clean and well maintained. The bar tender was amazing! Seriously, give that guy a raise. The rooms had AC! SCOOOOORRREEEE. We will definitely be booking with the resort again.
