This has got to be one of my favourite charity shops on the Byres/Dumbarton and Great Western Road charity shop trail. As Marj has mentioned, the clothes in here aren't the greatest. Though, you may well find some cheap and good quality suits and smart gear for work. Similarly, the music has get to cause any yelps of pleasure from me.
However, when it comes to everything else, it's a different story. Past the racks of clothes and the small jewellery display under the glass counter there is a good few shelves next to the changing rooms (as a side, who's ever used these??). On these rather ordinary looking shelves you can find a whole range of wondrous items.
While, there's the usual teapot suspects there's also some funky ornaments, loads of candles and candle holders and other purchase worthy pieces. For instance, I managed to find a tiny wooden four in one board game set (with all it's pieces) in here for a mere pound! We've only ever actually played chess with it but the backgammon, checkers and umm other game may yet get a game.
So, well worth having a quick look in next time you're passing and everyone can always do with an extra teapot... read more
