Thanks to their advice, we ultimately got what we wanted. The price was very fair for a one-hour consultation. I would absolutely use their services again if needed.

I initially had a positive impression of this firm. My consultation with Mr. Chiao went well. He…read moreclearly explained my legal options, came across as warm and earnest, and made me feel comfortable retaining the firm. Unfortunately, once my case began, serious organizational and communication issues emerged. Although the complaint itself was well written, it was filed with the wrong court and contained an incorrect address. I was never informed of this mistake and had to discover it on my own. Correcting the issue required a change of venue, which cost me significant time and money for an error that was not mine. Communication throughout the case was inconsistent. At times, staff were responsive and reassuring; at other times, follow-up emails went unanswered and seemed to fall through the cracks. When I informed the firm that the opposing party was making threatening communications, my concerns did not appear to be taken seriously. After deciding to retain new counsel, I was surprised by how aggressively this firm interacted with my new attorney during the transition. Even more concerning, when my case files were transferred, I was mistakenly sent documents belonging to a different client. This raised serious concerns about their internal controls and confidentiality practices. I was also charged approximately $600 for work the firm claimed had been completed but which was never included in the file transfer. When I requested a refund, I was told the work had been done and that I would need to absorb the cost, despite having to pay my new attorney to redo it. Overall, this firm's lack of organization and efficiency ended up costing me more time, money, and stress than necessary. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend shopping around for other firms, even if they are located outside the Pasadena area.

Valerie patiently guides me through the process and is obviously an expert in her field. I've referred all of my friends and family to KL Tax & Accounting and they've been equally impressed with their experiences. BOTTOM LINE: I would rate their business 1,000,000 stars if I could! Thank you Kenneth & Valerie!

Please read before you come to this place to do taxes. These people are extremely unprofessional,…read moreshady, and do not care about their customers. I had to go here because i was referred by my mom as I just bought a house to get the most tax return. This lady Winnie had no idea what she's doing as we lost money filing our taxes due to her inability to comprehend the best way to get the most tax returns. I had another accountant confirmed that we should've received more from our tax returns. She also quoted us a price for their service, and ended up asking for a higher price later, and they got offended when we corrected them. Also, We asked her a lot of questions because it was our first time owning a home and her manager Valerie ended up complaining to my mom that we asked too many questions and we were unpleasant customers. Valerie, we pay for your service and we should ask you questions if we don't understand something. If you guys quoted incorrectly, we should have the ability to correct you. You need to learn to be more professional and take better care of your customers if you ever want to grow your business. I will pass this to warn many people on review sites as well as friends and family. Please avoid this place at all cost, but if you do decide to go here just be smart at what they are telling you and be an active listener because they will try to cheat you and blame everything on you.

When we finally called to ask if this was normal, we were met with an unexpectedly dismissive and unprofessional attitude from Victoria Mawhinney, assistant to managing partner Josh Driskell. When I mentioned that even a simple message of condolence and acknowledgment would have been appreciated, she actually scoffed. Her tone was cold and completely lacking in empathy--something you'd expect to be fundamental for a firm handling sensitive estate matters. She also told us that we were "not current clients" because we hadn't contracted additional work, even though our call was specifically to discuss future business. When we asked to speak to her superior, we were told that speaking with the managing partner would require a $250 consultation fee, meaning there was essentially no recourse for the way we were treated other than posting this review. Overall, our experience left us shocked, disappointed, and dismayed at the lack of care and professionalism. I'm sharing this so others can make informed decisions when choosing a firm for estate planning or trust matters.
